People keep making well-made characters and I have to choose.

Feels bad man! So bad in fact I've decided to open up 11th slot!

But choices were made, aaaand:

Magnificent Seven Eight rebels that go with Cedric to 'procure' supplies:
1. Eloise van der Boore, Fighter (GiglameshDespair)
2. Jorne Karsson, Knight (Melioa)
3. Marion Casier, Troubadour (Wolfhunter107)
4. Sylvianne Bismarck, Mage (KingMurdoc)
5. Orietta Florina de Angeborta (ElfCollaborator)
6. Lucas Dreifus, Shaman (Solymr)
7. Markus Bridger, Bard (cronos5010)
8. Marietta Lancaster, Fencer (RedMageCole)
A trio of rebel Sentries that get a bit late to the party in Chapter 1:
9. Margrethe de Ruyter, Pegasus Rider (Gaterhyme)
10. Joran Jolyon, Thief (BladeMasterModel42)
11. Chaunce Bellamy, Wyvern Rider (Spiderpig2398)

Unfortunately for all, the Rebels are poorly equipped and are lacking in items! That will be remedied, but everyone starts with a single Iron-grade weapon!
Only Rebels from 1 to 3 and the Sentries' team will start with a Vulnerary. Sorry, such is life of a rebel.

Affinity tarot! Because I made it and I like it. Take what you're given, or ask for a new tarot reading - but you cannot go back to the 1st afterwards!

7. The Tower, The Empress Temperance, The Sun
8. The Tower, The Chariot The High Priestess, The Magician

You decide to sponsor the mining venture, and the prospector promises success before leaving.

The Treasurer sobs somewhere in the corner of the audience hall.

407 AEC, Mid-Autumn

The terrible beast remains in the north-east, gobbling down a rare traveler or causing a hamlet to quickly relocate from its path.

It seems that the recent instability of the country has led to some old, pagan cults reemerging. With the royalty's vigilance slipping and the church's grip weakening, the people of the coast have returned to the mermaid worship. Food and money is being cast into the waters and people rub themselves with sea salt in ritual baptisms. All wish for the mermaids to take care of them and to bring them prosperity.

Some of your particularily religious noblemen feel enraged by this, and call for the pagan worshippers to be buried alive in dirt, per Father's law for dealing with pagans.

A) I don't think that worship of mermaids will do us any harm. Once our situation gets better, people will glorify Father and Mother again.
B) You know, considering all the recent misfortune, maybe I should offer some sacrifice to the mermaids as well?
C) They will be purged! Bury them alive and their families stripped of possessions!
D) Time to deliver a strongly-worded proclamation to the coast-dwellers.

You ask the old prospector to say something about the mineral veins.

Quote

He goes on to talk about how the malachite is of very good quality, and that it is accompanied by sediment and ores of lead and silver, and that the layers of rock above it could be even fashioned into building material for the mines, making the venue very profitable.

Your courtiers nod and murmur amongst themselves, and you yourself are convinced that the man knows what he is doing.

Of course, the final word is yours.

A) We really need a stable source of income, we've gotta take this risk.
B) Sorry, but I'm not gonna commit any money to that.

4673
You decide to wait for now, as there's not much you can counter this beast with.

The elderly prospector-slash-miner enters shortly afterwards.

"Greetings, King Lycwl! I am Raimon, and I've come to you to ask for funds for the digging up of the malachite veins that I've found in the hills of my hometown. The soil is easy to dig into and the rocks bear lovely specimens of the ore, and with just some money from the Treasury I could see the gemstones flow onto the market and the state's coffers within a year!"

A) "Do describe the rocks, I love me some rocks."
B) "Sorry, we have no money."
C) "This is what we need - investments into economy! You shall have the money."

4674
You decide to hear out the monster report first.

Ushurulumzuk Diamondtested the Bane of Flesh has arrived! A giant legless humanoid with no skeleton. It crawls menacingly across the land, its milky gaze inducing insanity in its hapless victims. Beware its necrotic vomit!

The messenger says that the monstrosity has came forth from the direction of Orcish homeland. Whilst it is currently crawling about barely populated areas of northeast, it's probably a matter of time before it stumbles toward central Kastoria or elsewhere with its populous cities and fertile meadows.

A) Our army shall destroy the monster!
B) It will go away on its own, right? We just gotta wait.
C) We can do naught but ask a Witch for help!
D) Time to hire lvl30+ adventurers to kill this thing!

4675
You tell the Spymaster to send his agents and ensure that Velason does not walk on his leg anymore.

407 AEC, Autumn

The news of Velason's sudden death reach your ears faster than Spymaster can deliver his report. His agent, posing as a healer, has snuck into the camp, and administered poison amongst medicines of usurper's healers. Velason was dead before the morning sun managed to rise!

This was the signal that the loyal peoples living in the west waited for. They quickly retook keeps and city councils from the disloyal scum, arresting, killing, or forcing Velason's men into exile. Rebel armies disbanded and their soldiers fled into the woods and mountains, much like supporting noblemen suddenly disappeared from their estates, along with their families and riches, never to be seen within Kastorian borders again.

The people of the Kingdom, however, took the news with little joy. Mayhaps they were too tired to celebrate, maybe it was something else, but the general, underlying unrest and dissastifaction with your rule remains.

At least, you're done with one catastrophe and prepare for the next, whenever it strikes.

Congratulations! Lycwl has survived an usurpation rebellion!

Shortly after the celebratory feast is done, the guards inform you that two people want to meet with you for an audience.

One is a prospector and an old miner, claiming to have found malachite in the northern hills, while the other is an exhausted rider, saying that a terrible beast has appeared in the far east of the kingdom, having crawled out of the Grey Plains.

A) I've got to hear that monster report first, obviously!
B) Let's hear out the miner before my mood sours further.

@TricMagic:

Looks ok.

@Aston:

I have always been and will be opponent to any PS healing. You want self-heals, get Regen or whatever the CS is.

@Spiderpigu:

Second PS is also weak (considering rarity of flying enemies, Wyverns especially), so I would allow Wyvern -> Fliers (in general) instead.
Third PS seems a bit weak (again, players rarely inflict statuses on enemies), but might be just me.

@BMM42:

Whereeee'ss theee faaaaauultttt

@Gaterhyme:

Good sheet and spiffy armor mug nets Marge a Gopnik seal of approv- I mean, guaranteed spot in the roster.

@Giglamesh:

Looks ok... what's with that batman look tho. Is she VENGEANCE? NIGHT??

@Praef:

Looks ok.
But only one paragraph of bio? What is this, 2013??!??!!1

@Melioa:

I don't understand first PS, pls simple english.
Please no stacking Third PS: instead making it flat +2 DEF for 3 enemies in 3 tiles radius and yer golden.

---

Please note that these are only my glances and advice for the stuff, and no one is guaranteed to join.

Except Gaterhyme, I love me some nicely done hats armor.

4677
You ask for bad news first.

"My liege, the five-thousand strong contingent of Xane-Peonians entered the Kingdom's borders from the west, and met with forces of the pretender; a bloody melee ensued and our allies' force was destroyed!"

"...and good news?"

"Reports have it that during the melee, Velason was greviously wounded by arrow fire. He is bedridden and his supporters apparently went as far as to deliver large sacrifices upon Father's and Mother's altars to safeguard his life. No one's sure if he will recover."

A) "Well, send your agents to ensure that he won't!"
B) "See? All we need to do is wait now. I'm going back to sleep."
C) "Order the marshal to send our Army to destroy him and his men!"
D) "Get me my saddle and my sword! I will cut his heart off personally!!"

4678
RECRUITMENT IS OPEEEEN!

First group will consist of 4-5 guys, then every chapter we will accrue 1 extra rebel/peasant/royalist/merc that is willing to restore the monarchy!
