@Downstairs:

"Ahh, I see." The Governor turned toward the two girls behind him. "Shae, please wait here for me and the Captain, will you dear? Simona, keep an eye on her." He then moved toward the stairs, leaving the green-haired girl and her red-haired protector with the Reich investigators.

//Shaelynn Peritz and Simona Randall are in!

@Upstairs:

"Let's go then." The Captain opened the door and moved through first. "As for the explosion, well, when it occured, the soldiers who rescued say, we were under a very sturdy part of the catacombs' ceiling, and- Governor?" The pink-haired Governor stopped in the middle of the stairs.

"Captain. If I'm not intruding, I would like a word with you."

"Of course." He looked at Siegfried. "Have something to eat, Siegfried, I will join you shortly."

4787
The main door to the hall opened, and the Governor moved inside, with two ladies in tow.

"Greetings." He stopped by the group's table.

"I've been told that Captain Astleich is in here, but I do not see him." The bearded man looked about. "Did he leave?"

You tell the courtiers to find a Witch. They gasp and murmur as the Advisor quickly approaches your throne.

"My liege! Witches are evil, deplorable beings of fickle nature! How can we trust that after she performs the deal, she will not request our deaths, or something even worse, as payment!"

A) "A Witch is needed - we have no other alternative! Find one!"
B) "You are right, we're not that desperate. How about..." (pick one of options in previous post)

//Why nobody told me that the dates are wrong again XV

You decide to spend the money you have on festivities, to distract the peasantry from your mistakes.

403 AEC, Spring

The caravans from Xane-Peon are here!

Salt barely pays for itself, but the fabrics from the west have seemingly gained quite a few connoiseurs, and the profits from selling the clothes are greater than last year!

403 AEC, Summer

Still, the money doesn't stay in your Treasury for long, and is sent as tribute to Satorias, Maestrimar and Albarra.

403 AEC, Autumn

"A Hydra!?" The peasant smooches the floor as you yell at him.

"Aye, m'lord! A vile, monstrous, seven-headed monster has left the Forest of Ancestors, stomping through our village, gulping down sheep and maiden alike! Then it spit brimstone and flames, setting our homes aflame and reducing them to cinders. Please my liege, save us from the monster!" Many of your courtiers groan and cry. There is possibly no worse time for such a megabeast to appear.

A) Desperate times call for desperate measures. We must find a traveling Witch, and fast!
B) It will feed for a while and then stomp back to the forest, we just gotta wait.
C) Our might Army will march forth, and, with numbers and strength, kill the monster!
D) I shall hire some lvl30+ adventurers to deal with the Hydra.
E) Give me my sword and my shield, and I shall personally slay the vile beast!!

"They're alright, and are eating a meal in the hospital's dining hall. Want to join them?"

Meanwhile, downstairs...

"Carrot chicken broth." The old kitchenlady placed a large, steaming pot of broth in the middle of the table, and set down a plate with several slices of rye bread.

"You ain't leavin' the place until all is eaten." She then paced away, leaving the trio at the table alone.

PTW.

Maybe apply.

Ethan thought a little more about this.

"I will attend the funeral."

The Captain ran in the rear, making sure that his subordinates were-

And then, there was an explosion.

It was all darkness for the Reich investigators.

Did they all die? Or were they simply knocked uncounscious?...

The first thing that Siegfried could notice was the white, plastered ceiling of the bedroom. Then he could notice the orange sky through the windows to his left. To his right, however...

"Good afternoon, Siegfried. How are you feeling?"

You sigh, and accept the terms. Copies are provided for your court, as well as the governor of Albarra and the King of Maestrimar.

The envoys leave, their trumpets pompously - and loudly - declaring the victory of Kingdom of Satorias over yours.

The fighting in northwest took several weeks, before the rebels-turned-loyalists finally won the struggle. Although Eugo Saltazar is reported to have fled to the northernly Kingdom of Maelia, most of the peasant rabble dispersed and the ringleaders were captured and executed.

402 AEC, Winter

As the relatively mild winter begins with some rain and cold breezes, you decide to take your mind off the reports of civil disobedience and terrible economic forecasts.

You end up getting a map of the region along with a book of heraldry. Might as well indulge in some lore-reading.

402 AEC, End of the Year

"Everything is fine." You mumble-grumble to yourself as the Advisor bows before you and spreads the Scrolls of Kingdom Status on the desk.

Happiness: 2
Population: 3
Economy: 4
Army: 1
*Navy: 0

Absolutely nothing is fine.

"My liege." The Advisor begins, clearly unsure what to say. "It has been the worst year in Kastorian history in the past decade, if not a generation. Although our monetary wealth amounts to something, we have tributes to pay in the coming year."

"I did not forget that." The Advisor nods.

"Still, we have money now, and ton of problems that this money could alleviate."

A) "Indeed. Toss it at the peasants so that they mellow out."
B) "We're not spending a single coin!"
C) "Indeed. Toss it at foreigners so bolster our Army's numbers."
D) "Indeed. Toss it at our shipwrights, we need new ships."

4796
It was a book full of mystical fighting techniques.

The Captain pointed his saber at the woman.

"I've told you, it's the end of this-"

"And I... have told you that... you're not leaving this place alive, huh?" She suddenly breathed her last, just as smoke began to rise from one of the sealed boxes in a thin wisp.

A very irritating, pudgent smell of vinegar filled the room rapidly.

With the Princess safely at the inn, Priscilla, Johannes and Albrecht visited the garrison.

Quickly realizing the gravity of the situation, the commanding officer promised a dispatch to the capital to be sent on the fastest horse, and an escort of fifty most loyal and skilled soldiers in his employ.

Now, all that was left was to report to the Princess...

The innkeeper opened the door where Princess laid on the bed.

"Very strange, that girl of yours." The bald man spoke. "To reject even our call for free dinner? Hmph." He left, as Sophia turned to lie on her back.

The Princess was awake, clutching her staffs and staring at the wooden ceiling. However, she did not say anything. Albrecht turned to look at Priscilla and Johannes, and stepped away from the door.

The envoy, followed by twenty guards, proudly stomp into your throne room, announcing themselves in the most pompous way - that being trumpeting several trumpets inside the hall.

"Greetings, King Lycwl of Kastoria! My lord and master, the Invicible King Xon III of Satorias, Liberator of Albarrans and Conqueror of Evil, has agreed to give you peace on these terms." He pulls out a scroll from within his robes, opens it, and begins to read.

"Kingdom of Kastoria needs to be punished accordingly, so sayeth I, King Xon III, Sovereign of Satorias. Firstly, the Treasury of Kingdom of Kastoria will pay annual tribute to Kings of Maestrimar for the upcoming five years, and to Kings of Satorias for the next ten years. Furthermore, peoples of Albarra will be given freedom, and shall also be tributed Kastorian money for the upcoming ten years." Your courtiers gasp and murmur, and some weep openly into their sleeves.

You stir and prepare to speak to the envoy, but he doesn't even pause for a second before continuing:

"King Lycwl of Kastoria is not given the priviledge of negotiations this time, so says our ever-victorious master, King Xon III of Satorias. Your only choices is to accept these terms, or remain stubborn and foolish, in which case King Xon III shal conclude peace with your subjects upon ruins of this castle and over your dead body, in the coming years." He folds the scroll, looks around the hall, and then back at you.

"What say you, King Lycwl? Do you accept these terms, so that your people might finally enjoy peace, or reject them, and condemn your domain to further ruin and devastation?"

A) "Aye, I accept."
B) "I reject!"
