We purge them, as we gain manpower relatively quickly.

The other option is -10% Discipline for ten years, and we simply cannot allow this in Prussia!



One King dies, another ascends to the throne. Long live August Wilhelm II!

His first order is to move troops to the western provinces. Truce with Austria is to expire in a year, and they sure have claim on all of Styria.



The war does not come, so we check on Warmia.

Apparently, peoples all the way from Norway to Black Sea trade in Allenstein, its value almost 500 ducats at this point.



We find someone that might be just good enough of a target.

Obviously, Austria jumps into the war right away, taking their bag of vassals with them.



Our excellent generals will provide many, many painful lessons to the Austrian officers!



Austrian armies besieging Styrian provinces are annihilated one by one.

Our vassals in meanwhile poke around Brandenburg, which joined Austrian side of the war.



By end of August, naught but freshly recruited troops is all that remains of Austrian military.

This causes some of Austrian allies to wise up pretty quickly and sue for peace, which we of course accept.



The other option calls for a lot of money, and we're not exactly known for being rich.

Few days later, the old Austrian Emperor dies and his heir Ludwig I is elected.

The child wields little actual power, causing several of our enemies to sue for white peace.



Austrian vassals, Parma and Modena, tried to sneak some troops upon our coasts.

Tough luck, the Prussian (and Pommeranian) navy, split into two, is keeping a vigil on Helgoland Blight and Skaggerak Straits!



We force the Austrians to give autonomy to many of their vassals, with only Modena remaining at their side.

Unfortunately a slew of negative events have greatly destabilized our country.

Our influence at the Curia has dropped considerably as of late, and not just because of high Papal turnover.

The rewards were rather mediocre, but we will try to sell Kholm to our vassal, Duchy of Polotsk, which has a claim on it.



Senor Diego here was free for recruitment, and it happens that his skill at navigation allows us to reach some unclaimed lands in Africa.

This means that we could, theoretically, attempt to push a Prussian claim onto the world markets and colonial taxes!

Especially that recently King August Wilhelm has tasted a coconut and became enamored with the taste of its flesh.

We will colonize the shores of Arguin!



Lorraine was beaten and forced to become Austrian vassal. Nice.

Meanwhile, our colony in Arguin is growing strong. Another patch of unclaimed land was found to southeast, but we can't quite reach it yet.

The recent batch of Prussian monarchs has been very short-lived one.

Maybe it's Hesse-Kassel bloodline that's weak?

Aha! Arguin is now a fully developed land, owned by Prussia.

Finally, the zeal of Protestants in Livland has petered out.

A missionary is sent there at once. Protestants of Warszawa still hold out, but in few years we will also convert them.



For the past few years, besides upgrading our military infrastructure and purging of heretics, we also gave money to Brandenburg a lot.

The culmination of this is our marriage with their ruling family, and completion of a mission given to us much earlier.

We're too busy fighting Golden Horde to concentrate on this.

Firepower with firearms! Maurician Infantry favors offense, and we will be doing that a lot.

Shortly after we adopt the new infantry ranks, Muscovy buys Tver for 100 ducats, and an event gives us 220 ducats more. ALL THE MONEY!



This allows us to create a new centre of trade, separate from influences of Venezia.

Danzig is a big city on its own, and Ostpreussen, our capital, grows rapidly.

The trinity of important urban centers will be completed by Allenstein in Warmia, where traders from near and far will come to buy and sell all kinds of wares!

Meanwhile, our trading in Warmia has started giving us so much money, we have positive monthly income if we keep our military maintenance low!



We form a personal union over Schleswig, after Gerhard III von Schauenburg's heir dies in hunting accident, followed by Gerhard himself.

Young Prince Adolf II will rule over Schleswig while August Wilhelm, heir to Prussian throne, is growing up. Glory to us!
