Would it lean more towards roleplay, or more towards rolls and actions?

Inventory shenanigans!

Meanwhile, Derran's handscanner turned out blank. How do you scan lifeforms if the lifeform is dead twice already?

TURN 15

Derran, Kyle, Keith and Alfred are all in Hangar 1-1. 1 Pistol (6/6 ammo) and 1 Pistol Clip (6/6) are on the ground here.

You thank him for the much valuable information and offer him to stay; Hein agrees and makes his home at the old quarters he had in the palace when he was a child.

Few days later, the war, or rather, pre-war, council gathers. Informed of suspected Eldrican backstabbing in near future, your commanders are worried.

"We need more men! And better budgeting, if we are to raise an army that can withstand combined Eldrican, dwarven and Damdamian forces."

A) "Fine then, we will issue emergency mobilization to keep the recruits flowing, but I think the Army is already spending enough money as it is!"
B) "Emergency mobilization and I will raise yearly Army budget too, we can afford all these things if we're to ensure Methiantese victory!"
C) "I can raise the Army budget even higher so you have more resources to work with, but emergency mobilization will only enrage the citizenry!"

Alfred does some shoppings while Derran reloads.

The two salvos from Kyle and Keith remove the remaining marine presence.

You decide to meet with the enigmatic traveler for a private audience.

After your Shadowranks greenlight the approaching man for possessing no weapons, you two meet in a small study.

The veiled man wears a long robe that covers all but his eyes. As he sits down, he pulls down the hood and unwraps his face veil, revealing burn scars, but that is more than enough for you to identify him, considering you saw him not that long ago.

"Uncle Hein?"

"Greetings, Emperor. I've come to warn you! Feir has decided that now Methiant-Cydwyl is weak, and your foolish rule is a clear sign that you've lost approval of both people and the gods. He is going to show you that Eldrican should be the true Empire in these parts."

"He's going to invade, then."

"Yes, but from what I know he has only begun the preparations. For the moment, he has more money than regular soldiers, so he has entered negotiations with dwarves and Damdamians to obtain mercenaries. I'm pretty sure he will also call Rucusians to help him with the fighting, but I'm not sure how much they will be willing. Still I believe you might have as little as a year to restore order in Methiant and prepare for the war."

"What you're doing is treason, uncle..."

"My child." He stands up, and takes your hands. "Ever since I abdicated and became ugly, everyone shunned me at the court of Eldrican, and then you came from abroad and one of the first things you did was to sit down with this old bag of bones for a talk. It made me understand... that I'm not Eldrican but Methiantese, and my loyalties should lie with Methiant, for good or worse." He might be praised for his courage and loyalty, but you're pretty sure Eldricans - and their future historians - will revile him.

What you're going to do with Uncle Hein?

A) What he speaks is true. He should stay with us and in meanwhile we will prepare for the incoming war.
B) I'm not sure if to trust him or not. I better send my agents to snoop around in Eldrican and elsewhere.
C) I will turn him over to Feir and tell Eldricans about Hein's treachery, surely this will mend our relationship and prevent the war.
D) He might've gone senile, nobody would dare attack us! Better find him a pleasant home for the elderly to stay in.
