You try harder.

"If the Emperor provides the monetary sacrifice for Damed, the Father, to appease his surely incoming wrath at this, I could accept. But only then!"

You decide to...

A) Just drop the topic.
B) Agree to send some money.

That's adorable.

You talk with the Duke privately and tell him that your uncle, Deathan, has two unwed sons.

"I would gladly accept one of them as a husband for my eldest daughter, but I cannot accept a Pantheonist in my family. That would offend the Father!"

You decide to...

A) Convince him a bit harder.
B) Drop the topic.
C) Assure him his future son-in-law will convert.

You decide to mingle with some minor nobility instead.

You learn that the noblemen of Eldrican are wary of Feir's ambitions. Apparently, as far as the rumors amongst them go, he wants to spread his dynasty across southern lands and create an empire that will have Methiant burn with jealousy. He is also introducing many concepts from Damdamian Empire, namely some book manufacturing item, as well as the concept of 'hospitals' where sick people are kept under care of numerous healers, as well as, very controversional for the nobles, scaling tax that's apparently going to have them pay more than peasants do.

You also learn that the Duke of Tirine, a fervent Damedian and strong supporter of Feir, is looking for a spouse for either of his children; his young son and heir needs a wife, and his eldest daughter, apparently of scholarly disposition, still goes around without a husband despite being in her twenties.

You decide to...

A) Offer your sister Aine as a a bride for his son and heir.
B) Mention that your uncle Deathan has unwed sons, and you're sure he would be willing to provide a husband for Duke's eldest daughter.
C) Do nothing about it.

6053
You agree to have half of the tchai leaves sent to Eldrican.

Unfortunately, that's all you can do with Feir, for he avoids further politics and the feast simply continues.

On the last morning, you learn that Feir is not attending any audiences, so that might be a chance to get him into political talks once more!

A) Let's not overstay our welcome, and head home.
B) How about I try to mingle with his nobles and relatives?
C) Sure thing, we might squeeze out one extra deal from him!

Ziiing.

"Nephew." Feir grins and then leans toward you. "Don't think you're the only one who can afford protective dwarven trinkets here."

You two therefore try to negotiate without the trinkets.

You mention the t'chai leaves, and your uncle rubs his chin.

"Well, my noblemen have been indulging in eastern drinks lately. If you route some of those smelly leaves in my direction, I could give your Treasury a cut from the profits. Yearly, of course."

You decide to...

A) Agree to send half of tchai to Eldrican, you have too much anyways.
B) Try to negotiate some other trade deal.
C) Change topics altogether.

COMMUNIST DEFEATED once and for all? :V

6056
You decide to talk about trade. Feir looks at you curiously.

"Trade? What do we need to trade for, nephew? You trade with east, I trade with the west, and I'm sure we have all the wealth and supplies we ever need."

"Fireblood ingredients, however, you have plenty of them." You remind him.

"Damdamians pay me a lot for them. Why should I sell them to Methiant instead?"

You decide to...

A) Try to find another topic of conversation.
B) Try to interest him in some other trade deal.
C) Do offer a better price than Damdamians!

G7 ironax the archer?

You ask Hein about plans Feir has for the Kingdom.

"He has long ago begun to feel terrible jealousy towards you, and Methiantese in general. In his eyes, he should be Emperor, and he wants to make an Empire of his own. So, he is pushing relentlessly to curb local nobles' powers. Disobedience means death, that's the way my little despot son does things around here. And we wants to get Dwarves to run the ironworks and for Damedians to run religion in Eldrican. Hrmph."

You thank Hein for all this and wish him pleasant evening; he grumbles in response.

A while later, you're seated near Feir, the King of Eldrican having reserved a cushioned chair for Emperor of Methiant. Curiously, he is evading conversations about politics and family, too.

Are you going to try anyways?

A) Sure, let's talk about trade.
B) We need to chat about religion.
C) Maybe it's time for family talks.
D) Let's consider political options, yes.
E) Eh, he won't listen anyways.
