You decide to throw a big-ass party with your soldier friends!
The party lifts everyone's spirits after they drink their spirits. Hur hur.
You indulge in alcohol and revelry as well, but manage to keep your head away from total drunkage as well as and pretty girls (and boys) of the camp.
After the party, a second messenger arrives. He wields a copy of the Scrolls of Kingdom Status!

Population: 4
Economy: 4
Army: 9
Imp.Authority: -2
Inflation: 1/8 (+1)
"What's with this Inflation still there?" The messenger shrugs.
"The Treasurer and his buddies are still working on it. It probably won't go away as easily as it came."
"And my Authority?"
"Apparently, with the state of Empire and your, err, excesses, Emperor, it continues to drop." Ha, jokes on them! It's already abyssmal.
"And the map?"
He shows it to you, but its the same as previous year. After all, the war's going on, putting updates on it would beannoying unnecessary work.
"Also, the court has debated on but decided against extra taxes on peasants for the coming year."

"And my edicts?"
"Sorry, but Edicts interface is disabled whenever a SPAMKINGDOM monarch is on an Epic Quest or Military Campaign." You shake the fist at the sky.
"Damn that Haspen and his made-up game limitations!!"
Once everyone is sober, the officers are asking for directions.

You decide that it must be your noblemen who are at fault at this! You order the agent to tell the Spymaster to begin investigations and see who has way too many dealings with Damdamians.
By the morning, Simian army ventures eastwards, while your Army marches north.
Your superbly drilled, equipped Army, under your leadership and with the Flagbearer strengthening their faith into your victory, let you steamroll over the Parsian cities. One by one, smaller settlements and outposts surrender, either abandoning the buildings or pledging loyalty to you. Few proud, albeit relatively average in size, cities try to defend themselves, but their walls are smashed open and their defenders butchered by your men.
The Parsian resistance continues to collapse like a terrible line of dominos. As the freezing rain soon becomes a mere Spring dribble, Parsian lands from Hurthling mountains to Ironbones are now yours. Scouts report that Simian purge has almost reached the Parsian capital, most of the cities in their path ruined and their inhabitants decimated; the main army of Parsia was also destroyed and only pockets of resistance remain, the reports say.

Wihemina have given birth to a girl! The beautiful little Princess has been named 'Aina' by your dearest wife.
Some ask if, in the light of recent victories and the birth of Princess, could the Army camp and party a bit?

Our religious information on them comes from the offer to marry our son to an Albion princess. They have a religion based on Father Mountain and Mother Sky. (Not Pantheonism.)
Herta seemed like a nice person, I wish we could have seen more of her but the palace was so crowded at the time. I assume she traveled north again after her son died and she was snubbed by the court.
Ah yes, its a dualist religion. Father and Mother, Warrior and Family-figure, Moon and Sun, Fire and Water etc etc.
Herta died (of plague?) in 1187, you can see its on the family tree posted at End of Year 1193.

You decide to try and talk the rebels down.
Fearless, you stand atop a large rock, and, with banner of Methiant above you, you call both rebels and your loyal soldiers to listen. As you give the speech in which you ask them to surrender and thus save their lives, the clouds above you cover the sun in such a way that it shines upon you and the bronze shaft, giving you an aura that blinds the people.
Within few minutes, the rebellious soldiers beg for mercy, with few diehards needing to be eliminated. The ones that had a history of loyalty and excellence are allowed to return to their units, anothers are imprisoned.
With over four hundred dead and three hundred under arrest, you decide to move out and attack Parsia!
The same evening, as the Army prepares for tomorrow's sail-out, one of the Spymaster's agents arrives in your tent, and gives you a bag of coins. You inspect the silver money, with clear Damdamian markings.
"Ysirene lalantas, my liege. We've found them in belongings of more than a tenth of the slain soldiers, and few that were arrested were in possession of these as well. Apparently they received them from one of the slain officers, who simply asked them for 'loyalty' in some trying times. Or so they say."
"Ysirene spies in my Army? How?"
"I advise caution and that you order an investigation to be launched. I'm sure the Spymaster and our fellows at the palace will be ready to handle the work, sire. Where should we search for the traitors?"
A) "Everywhere, you idiot! Even the dumbest peasant could be a spy! Entire Methiant is to be scoured!"
B) "The recent purges surely dealt with hostile elements in the Army... I'm sure my noblemen are mingling with our enemies a bit too close for comfort! Check the nobles!"
C) "The recent purges surely spurred the hidden spies into action. The hierarchy structures of Methiantese Army are to be checked for spies at once!"
D) "Ysirene has no reason and no gain from this. This is ridiculous. There's no spies here, and you will forget what you've found today!"
