The Damdamian envoy marches in, stops in front of you, salutes with his right hand. You can clearly see he is in a rush, and probably was for some time already.

"Greetings, Emperor Yoe! I come with a letter that the Senate has written and gave to me just eight days ago." He takes out a scroll from his robes and begins to read.

"To Emperor Yoe IV of Methiant, from Senate of Republic of Damdamia. Emperor! Your vile treachery has enraged the people of Damdamia. And while the perpetrator of this crime has begged for his life, claiming to be your relative and son of the Great Cyl, we've decided to punish him nonetheless! Thus, we have executed your uncle, Saenn of Methiant, by boiling him in oil, after he has fatally stabbed the retired Consul Marius Badus Lucus during a ride through his family estates. The Senate gives you two options; pay a tribute to the Senate, pay the tribute to Marius' wife Upsettia Gloria, and pay a tribute to the people of Damdamia who demand revenge for the death of their beloved consul of four consecutive terms. The other option is that the Damdamian Republic will punish not your Treasury, but entirety of Methiant. These are the words of Damdamian Senate, unanimously written, signed by Consul Tupetus Maximus and Praetor Energus Triumphus."

A) "I'm sure there has been some sort of misunderstanding. We ought to talk about this first!"
B) "We want no quarrel with Damdamians. We will pay for Saenn's terrible deed."
C) "No evidence, no forewarning? I will pay nothing to the bullies calling themselves senators!"

I remember a game, but I couldn't tell you what platform. It had a ninja or something as the character, and in the first part you were moving through wheat fields and avoiding watch towers. I remember the view being very pulled-back, probably some kind of isometric or top-down. Definitely wasn't first-person.

It miiight have been a unit-based strategy game with only one or two starting units. But it might have been an action game instead ...

EDIT: It was in color, if this helps.

It was a flash game on Newgrounds or ArmorGames I believe, I remember it too. And you the perspective was from the 'side'.

It had a samurai as the main character; at first there was lots of sneaking, but later on the swordfighting picked up in pace as well.

Name? Haha of course I don't remember it, silly! :P

You meet with the Simian delegate first. The pudgy, short man in clad in finest robes of multitude of colors, with yellow, purple and orange prevailing. His long beard is neatly combed and his cape is shiny of golden thread.

"Greetings to you, Emperor Yoe! My only lord and master, Emperor Mahjar Sim, has always been in awe of the size of your Treasury. Therefore, he is offering another item that is aplenty in Simian and has been found nowhere in Methiant - a drink called t'chai! It is made of leaves that are dried up and then boiled, creating a drink that is both recreational, invigorating, soothing and medicinal in the same time. Wealthy people from all over Simia and further east, be it merchants, priests or princes, indulge in the tchai after meals and ceremonies."

A) "Sounds lovely. Get me that tchai, and you will get my money!"
B) "Sounds nice, but maybe you could offer something else?"
C) "I'm a warrior, not a drinker of herbal mixtures! Shoo!"

Incidentally, would you just straight-up not allow us to breed the laserhorse or is it conceivable that we might manage to find a way? Because I have a plan for that.

It's highly prized unique murder machine that costed arm and leg to acquire.

Am I going to let you get extra copies for free? Take a logical guess, people :V

Wait a minute so the lazor horse is stress eating because her master died?.

Just keep your kids away from it.

Or go Elf way and feed it your political prisoners.

How well know outside of Methiant is our fetish for magical artifacts?

Do we know if any of our neighbours have any magical artifacts? If so, what are they?

Artifact fetish of Methiantese is pretty well known.

Common knowledge aboot artifacts: Lametanians have the Bow of Striking or whatever it was called way back in the century. Eldrican still have the Crown of Eldric, inspiring soldiers to do better. They dont' really use it, though, and they definitely didn't use it when fighting against the nomads.

You have no info on other nations, but other nations don't really put their plans in few trinkets ;v As for Dwarves, well, I'm sure you can have a good guess.

a] because we don’t have literal mountains of silver to deal with b] we don’t have an empire that overstretched as the Hapsburg’s had they wasted a lot of money trying to keep all parts of the empire unified it took months to reach the ends of the empire while methiant is large it not that large. C] we don’t have as many problems as the Hapsburg’s no Protestants to cow no France to keep in check no Netherlands’s to try and make stable no Ottoman Empire that threatens one of our biggest provinces sure we have problems but compared to the Hapsburg’s during their fall this is heaven. Anyway that was my two cents

Hmmm :v
