You decide to attend the performance.

Alogn with (some of) your courtiers, your maidservants, and little Rinilda, you visit the local ampitheatre that was built by the state's money.

The highlights of this performance are actually moments where the chorus shines; instead of just two solid choruses, there are parts when one voice from the chorus speaks to the actor, and the choral voice is then echo'd by the rest of its chorus, and then they sing praise or insults at the hero ('the First King'), together in melodic intonation; the other chorus has deeper voices and mostly advises or tempts the hero to do evil or otherwise think of himself. Quite dynamic, this, and even further developed from what the writer told you earlier.

The story explains the Descent of Pantheon, the enlightenment of Man due to that event, and the creation of the First Kingdom under the First King (The Hero), who then had to solve several difficult crises - but all problems were fixed when he did what Pantheon ('The Good Chorus') suggested, even if that meant hardship and pain, while all the easy yet cruel alternatives offered by King's advisors and warlords ('The Evil Chorus') were discarded. The First Queen ('The Lady') was always there, shooing away the Evil Chorus or offering warmth and support to the Hero when he began to doubt himself.

The ending scene is as follows.

First King (raising a sword): "This my Kingdom! The first Kingdom of Man! The greatest in all history!"

Wife (embracing him): "Proud is my heart and mind!" (to Good Chorus) "Praise be! He is the greatest of Kings!"

Good Chorus (praising): "Praise be! He embodies the virtues of Pantheon!"

Evil Chorus (tempting): "Now seize the power of Gods, to become King of Heavens!"

Good Chorus (begging): "Be virtuous! Resist the temptation! Praise be!"

Evil Chorus (hissing): "You can reach greater heights! Why stop here, when you can have so much more? All you need to do, is pierce them!!"

Wife (shielding First King from Evil Chorus with her own body): "Be silent, do not tempt him! No more!!"

First King (steps before the Wife): "No more doubt, there is in me! For I am glad with what I have, for it is clad in blessing of Pantheon!" (to the Evil Chorus) "To the underworld with you, fiends!"

The First King 'stabs' the members of Evil Chorus, who all collapse.

First King (triumphiantly): "And now, the land is free of temptation, strife, and evil, and Pantheon reigns supreme!"

Good Chorus (praising): "Praise be the one who is with the Pantheon, for he will be bright and just! May he reign forever~!" Trumpets, drums and horns then issued a cacophonic yet triumphant noise, as the Good Chorus collapsed around the First King, who raised the sword up, prideful and victorious.

The spectators all burst into applause, shouting and cheering.

A) Is this the thing I wasted so much money on!?
B) BRAVO! BRAVO! ENCORE!!
C) Adequate, I guess.

LANDGRAB, or Diplomacy for Dummies.

It goes away with units, and only Supply Areas count. Secrecy, backstabs and shenanigans are all encouraged, though if someone skims the rules for something obvious I missed, that would be great :)

1. Each Year lasts 2 Turns, and each Turn - Spring and Autumn - lasts 24 real-time hours (or a bit more, depends when GM has a moment to sit down and update). All Turns will be announced in the LANDGRAB 1.0 thread and when updating, the GM will lock the thread and no longer acknowledge orders sent to him.
2. Each Player control a Nation based on its Color (can make up name for it, if they want).
3. Players send their orders to the GM in secret by PMs (Personal Messages) on top of the forums!
4. During each Turn, you can 'grab' a named Province. You can also 'defend' a Province you own.
5. Amount of actions you can do per Turn ('grabs' and 'defends' total) is equal to Supply Areas you own + 1 (example: you own 2 Supply Areas = you get 3 actions/orders to do). Supply Areas are Provinces with black dot by their name.
6. You can only grab those Provinces that are adjacent to yours.
7. If two Players attempt to 'grab' the same Province, or a Player 'grabs' a Province of another Player who 'defends' it, nothing happens.
8. Players who do not own a Supply Area at the end of Autumn Turn are eliminated.
9. The game is won by the Player who either A) Holds 11 or more Supply Areas at end of any Turn, or B) Is the only Player remaining on the map.
X. Placeholder rule if something needs to be added to rules.

...Diplomacy for dummies? You could say so. I am a dummy, too!

You send a reply to the King of Helliste, offering Ciri as a bride for little Sigurd.

1181 AD, Mid-Spring

Apparently, the young writer from last year has finished his work, and has presented it to some of Pantheonist high clergy. Witnesses say that most of the elders were awestruck at the performance and the Archpriest himself was moved to tears, because 'nobody before presented the tales of the Gods in a way so beautiful'.

The nobles at your court are talking about 'Descent and After' day by day. Mayhaps it is worth a listen?

A) Truly, I should witness this beauty of a performance myself!
B) I have no time for artistic pieces, sorry.

You decide to raise the Army's budget, but forego Edicts.

1181 AD, Spring

It seems that people regard you as "the Good"!

The prosperity, peace and happiness enjoyed by the people of Methiant during your reign have persuaded them that you're the model of a good, efficient, just leader, and so they will be more willing to endure hardships if something happens. This could even help in the times of internal instability, because which blockheaded rebel would really, really want to take up arms against such an Empress like you?

The historians can't help but note that you're first in many centuries to obtain this title - there were strong leaders, there were brave leaders, but you are the first that is good.

Few days later, the diplomatic corps bring news. The King of Helliste, Aubjorn, has recently became father to a healthy boy, and is looking to obtain a relationship with Methiant by the way of bethroting one of local Princesses to his son and heir, Sigurd.

You decide to set up a marriage between Sigurd and...

A) Your eldest daughter, Rinilda.
B) No one, for Helliste isn't within your interests.
C) Cylia, your second and Cyl's first daughter.
D) Ciri, who was also born only a while ago.

Not in Eldrican's eyes, nope.

6505
I think he had previous issues with the changes as well, like Mage Knights not getting magic weapons anymore.

* Haspen cries dramatically in the corner over this.

6506
One question.

Did the Dwarves survey Orkworld?

Better question: Did the poison gas go away yet?

The magical toxic dust storm is still happening.

They get given to other members of family with seniority and in the kingdom, if none are found, they go under direct rule of the Eldrican King.

You decide to rest a bit more.

You get back to good health after resting and medication.

Cyl promises not to burden your body with more babies, especially that the medics aren't sure that any future pregnancy will end fortunately.

1180 AD, Midwinter

The near-ancient Lady Auvena has passed away in her sleep. She will be remembered by the palace's staff as a loving matron and teacher of newly employed servants.

1180 AD, Late Winter

And speaking of dying, a letter has arrived from a temple near Rainbow Lizard Mountains; the old monk, Ustwelf, son of Cyl, has died of old age as well just a week ago.

1180 AD, End of the Year

While you and Cyl are resting in the bedchambers, you breastfeeding little Ciri and Cyl composing a response to a letter from his court, the Advisor knocks on the door and steps in.

Ah, right, the Scrolls of Kingdom Status.

"This peaceful year saw some increase in the numbers of Army, and it is currently nearing its maintenance and budgeting limits. With the profitable trading and surplus of precious metals, the higher echelons of the Army clamor that their budget should be increased even further."

A) "Sure thing, our Army shall be the greatest!"
B) "No."

"And of course, I need to ask you, Lady Empress, whether you would like to issue an Edict?"

A) "No."
B) "Some paperwork is long overdue, yes."

"The Cartographers have also finished expanding the Imperial Map." The Advisor unfurls a huge, stitched together piece of cloth and linen. "Please, have a look, Lady Empress."

And as an added bonus, dynasty tree!

The fever that you picked up in the morning has flared in intensity. Cyl is at your bed, having arrived just an hour ago.

The pain is unbearable and healers are busy administering medicine to your ill self. They're however sure that it must be a fever related to the childbirth.

Finally, you wake up without much pain, although you still feel the fever lingering in your body.

While the maidens help you up from the bed, the healers and the Advisor question the wisdom of this move.

"Lady Empress, you're still sick. Tis unwise to leave the bed so soon." The old man says, stepping forward to block the door.

A) "I have an Empire to run."
B) "Few more days, then."
