You decide to forego the old deal. Such a reply is sent to Elran V's court.

1176 AD, Summer

BLURGLGLGHLGHLGHLLGG.

The maid hastily takes the vomit-filled bowl from your side as the healers prepare a herbal tonic which strong, nostril-cleansing scent can be smelled even from your bed. You feel sick, tired, and exhausted since midnight, but the medics are positive its not food poisoning or anything.

After few more check-ups, there's only one explanation left - you're pregnant with Cyl's child! The healers will monitor your situation, but you face two important questions at the moment.

As for informing Cyl about being a father soon...

A) Duh!
B) Let's wait.

As for your administrative role as an Empress...

A) I'm not a honey bun, I can handle both my work and my pregnancy at once!
B) I should call in Cyl to substitute for me once pregnancy gets in the way, for now I'm fine.
C) I will reduce my work, delegating less important things to the Advisor, Statesmen and the court.

Since we're roughly analogous to the pre-Charlemagne pagan Saxons with celtic influences do we have any religious traditions that seem particularly "strange" or "savage" to our southern/eastern/western neighbors? Well besides the whole conflicting Polytheism/Monotheism traditions that separate us and our southren/western neighbors. Not really including our northern neighbors since they seem pretty religiously similar to us.

Pantheonism also makes use of sacrifices of animals. No one else around here does that, except Parsians (who sacrifice bulls and donkeys specifically).

You forgot +5 to Bavaria tho ;v

You decide to split ways with Cyl to appease his nobles, but of course he is welcome to visit the court of his wife any time.

Cyl leaves the same day with his entourage and Cydwyllian dignitaries.

1176 AD, Late Spring

King Tetan I of Eldrican has died after sudden onset of fever! His eldest son, Tobald, has stylized himself as Elran V, has ascended to rulership over this vast domain.

A diplomat soon arrives, carrying a letter; in it, Elran V offers to send you gold coin amounting to four years of silver from still-unfulfilled treaty, in return for annulment of said treaty.

A) One less thing to burden ourselves with (and its nice he is sending money, too)!
B) He should reconsider, it's for the good of both of our nations, really.

You join your husband for the ceremony.

It is a simple one, and you both attend in ceremonial skirts, as priestesses chant praise of the newlyweds and annoint you with sacred perfumed oils and brush you with holy ferns.

After you return to the palace, you find a quite livid discussion between your courtiers and courtiers of Cyl. You learn the details once you step between the noblemen.

Apparently, there has been some miscommunication about where Cyl stays as King of Cydwyl and Emperor-Consort of Methiant. To Cydwyllian men its absolutely unthinkable that their King would be ruling from outside the kingdom. Your courtiers believe that Cyl now belongs to you as an Emperor (thus higher rank than their King) and Consort (and thus junior partner in your marriage).

A) I'm Empress of Methiant, he is King of Cydwyl. I don't see a problem here, really.
B) Yes, he shall stay at my side. He is my husbando and I won't let him go away.
C) I will let my beloved Cyl decide in this situation.

6759
He did good - for sure you didn't marry a wooden plank or a dead flounder.

In the morning, Cyl has an idea; to further be blessed by gods of Pantheon with good fortune and many kids, he invites you to a prayer at the temple of the God of Fertility.

A) Sure, I will go.
B) Sorry, I have a headache.
C) Princess Eiri can go in my place.

You decide to strike a chat with your husband.

Quote
1*

It doesn't take long for his praises and compliments to turn you into a giggling pile of squee. You don't get to talk to him about politics, but only about family.

He has support of his mother, Eirika, and people at the court listen to her. He hopes that the first child of the marriage of you two will be a boy. While people remember Queen Dogethe fondly, the legal laws of primogeniture still favor males on the throne unlike in Methiant. A daughter trying to unite two nations would definitely spark resistance in the north.

Speaking of children, he hopes that he will be graced with your presence in bedchamber today. Woosh, he can count on that!

You two mess up the royal bed till the sky outside turns from dark blue of the night to the foggy grey of early morning. Cyl was sensual in his approach and gameplay but aggressive and hasty in his motions. His stamina however allowed him to call you into combat several times tonight, exhausting you and your womb.

How was it?

A) Mrawr~
B) Meh.
C) Terrible.
D) Ow, never again.

You settle on the red wedding dress of your mother.

The ceremony begins outside the palace, in the plaza leading up to it. Commoners, craftsmen, merchants and noblemen alike throw flowers and shout words of praise toward you, as you ride The Flying Horse. It's graceful walk is matched by the fiery-black horse of silvery mane, with Cyl on top. He waves toward your subjects, but keeps himself in your shadow for now.

As the ceremony begins, and the Priest of the God of Oaths recites the holy vows of Pantheonism, you look around the great hall, noticing people staring at you and whispering.

It seems that out of the whole bunch of dignitaries, your own courtiers are unimpressed by your choice of dress. Surely, recycling dresses is still out of fashion. Envoys of your family from Eldrican look pleased, though, surely noting that you remember and stick to your roots.

While the capital city indulges in a ten-day celebrations of your marriage, the feast in the palace begins.

After few hours, the bellies of the guests are full and their hearts mellowed with finest Springwine. It could be a good moment to talk with some diplomats about things important and mundane. Or maybe it's time to chat with your husband?

A) Yes, let's strike a chat with my beloved, it's been too long!
B) I will go talk with people of my homeland, surely they have stories to tell.
C) Let's integrate with Cydwyllian noblemen, to show I care about north.
D) I'm an Empress, not a loudmouthed marketplace peddler!
