"As it should be. If we were too hasty with merging, the noblemen of Cydwyl, who unlike those in Methiant have a considerable say in politics, could get uppity. And ruination is the last thing I wish to bring for my country."

"When shall we marry then?"

"Not that fast; I wish to become King first and Emperor second. My brother, Estjald, is a resilient man but the illness worsens his health by days, and some pessimistic healers at our court say he won't survive till Winter. Few months after his death, say, half a year mayhaps? It would be good time for us to become family."

Munkat-1 did a flyby of Mun and got us enough sciences, but Munkat-2 lacked few crucial components, so I decided to try one more time before calling it a break.

"I'm glad I can express myself first! I have to say, most people at my father's court paint you, well, most of Methiantese rulers, as some sort of demons of paranoia and arrogance. It is good to know that, upon meeting one myself, I can toss their accusations out of the window." He coughs.

"I would love to see Methiant and Cydwyl as one, some day. Our ancestors might've been distant, but since times of my greatgrandmother, Dogethe, they grew closer to each other. Those were times of glory and prosperity for both our nations, especially when both Emperor Cyl and my father, Cidric, were alive. But the recent incidents have, unfortunately, soured the relationship. That should be amended, before the noblemen in Cydwyl finally turn around and seek relations with Helliste, or Albionese pirates, or, Pantheon forbids, Agaresian savages. People of Cydwyl are people of forests and horses, not sea and trade! And when I heard that you're now alone, just like I have no spouse, what better idea could I come up with?"

He drops to his knees and takes your hand into his. Cyl's eyes are sparkling in the moonlight, and for a brief moment, you feel ashamed like a young maiden who is being wooed by a squire.

"Let us marry, and rule Methiant and Cydwyl together. Then, our child will inherit the thrones of both, truly sealing the relationship between our lands." From under his cloak, Cyl pulls out a little harp.

"To commemorate our meeting, and to proclaim my love to you, I even composed a little ballad, if you would wish to hear it?"

A) "Well, can't see any harm in a little musical spectacle."
B) "I would rather we discuss politics, especially about our marriage."
C) "Okay, this is too much, too fast. I'm leaving."

You stretch and open up the curtains, letting some sunrays and fresh air into your room. You feel like a newborn! Your healers really know their stuff.


It is the first night of Summer. The thick crescent moon shines high above the cloudless sky, and myriad of stars glitter up there, as if trying to make the incoming situation even more romantic.

Eight guards come on your side, and two are sent forward to seek out anyone under employ of 'C of C'. They departed into the darkness, between the bushes and trees surrounding the lake.

The flat surface of the lake reflects the moon nicely, you have to agree. Soon hwoever your observations of the Daisk Lake come to an end, because the two guards bring two men with them.

When brought before you, they look up at you and smile politely.

"Greetings. Our master, a certain northern blossom, awaits you at the shore of the lake, some moments away from here. We've been ordered to bring you to him, southern doe, because he wishes to speak with you in privacy. Of course, for parity, two of your men can come as well."

A) "He will come before his doe, or his doe will return to her home."
B) "My stags will come along in numbers, to ensure my safety."
C) "Fine then, I accept these terms. Lead me to the 'C of C', now."
