Question: I assume the plague suspended delivery of Eldrican silver? Can I get a count on that, pretty please?

What delivery? They brought you just 1 more of the unpaid payments. I think someone here was keeping a tally.

You agree to spend some more money on parties to celebrate the passing of plague.

1163 AD, Winter

Silver and glassware, due to plague losses, failed to arrive. Gemstones however got through and has been sent north.

There's also a small crisis in the army. Apparently, the traveling tax, coupled with recent plague, has turned mercenaries and adventurers away from the Army recruiters. Few recruits are being acquired this way, and some officers are talking about doom and gloom already.

You decide to...

A) Do nothing, the Army can suffer.
B) Repeal the Passage Tax to keep people flowing through Methiant steadily.
C) Repeal the Recruitment Offices, we don't need those anyways.
D) Promise extra money this year for those who join the Army.

You decide to stay and sample some more of Erik's hospitality.

You feel slightly better, and the courtiers and your family members are quite optimistic about this.

You're back on your feet, but you still feel old and weary. It is announced that you will be returning to Methiant after all.

1163 AD, Autumn

You're back in Methiant, and you're feeling well, the Advisor has begun busying himself with updating Scrolls of Kingdom Status before winter comes.

You receive a report that there is shortage of foods in south of Methiant, due to many peasants perishing and thus unable to tend to crops, which themselves were to feed others.

Fortunately, you have to do nothing about it; the Tiftif region was both spared by the plague and experienced a very good harvest this year. Wagons and caravans of foodstuffs and wine are being sent southwards to sate the hunger and quench the thirst of your subjects.

1163 AD, Mid-Autumn

Knock knock.

"Do you have a moment your Majesty?"

Happiness: 3
Population: 5
Economy: 7
Army: 7
Imp.Authority: -2

"Your Majesty, I've been trying to make best of the assumptions and calculations. Our Economy might be a bit rough but please remember that gemstones, wine and glassware was sold locally due to travel ban during time of plagues, and our yearly taxes and budget spendings have not been accounted yet. However, the souls of your subjects are still sunken; mayhaps we should organize some parties for winter and next year, to lift the mood?"

A) "Ay ay partay tayme!"
B) "No."

You decide to wait.

1163 AD, Late Summer

Reports come from Methiant that the plague has finally and unquestionably relented; there are only rumors of cases in the Methiantese countryside, amongst some villages located in far west of Felonsein or deep south of Ceodwell.

Preparations are being made to move back to the Empire, although nobody is really hasty about it; general consensus is to wait.

1163 AD, A week later

You however, do not feel well personally. Weak and tired in past few days, you've become bedridden with an exhausting fever gripping on your body. Healers working on your ailment are however positive that this is not the plague.

Some courtiers believe that the move back to Methiant should be delayed till you get back to good health, others want to take you back home at this very moment and treat you there.

A) I'm fine, we can make the move back to Methiant. The people need their Emperor!
B) I will stay here and recuperate first. Rushing while sick might only worsen the illness.

7234
I love that gif in your avatar, birdy. It's so adorable.

You hire some adventurers to get rid of the bandits.

1163 AD, Summer

You receive news that the adventurers hired to deal with bandits did great. Many important criminals were killed or brought to justice, while their mook cohorts surrendered or fled into mountains and other remote areas.

Meanwhile, good news come from Methiant proper; the plague has slowed down considerably in its spread and the new vases have fallen below a hundred a day!

1163 AD, Midsummer

Optimistic news come from Methiant; cases are sporadic and the plague have not reached beyond Felonsein. People are quietly celebrating already, and reports from Ceodwell suggest that the settlements there have been no longer under plague's deathly grip.

Some of your courtiers wonder if its time to return to Methe already.

A) Nah, let's wait a month or two more just to be sure.
B) At once!

You decide to flee to Cydwyl.

1162 AD, Midwinter

You hear that back in Methiant, peoples are understanding of your relocation and your officials who stayed behind are keeping malcontents in check. The plague has not yet reached the capital's walls.

King Erik does accomodate you most graciously; you, your family and your servants are given entire left side of the Cydwyllian castle for yourselves; apparently, the bedroom where Eivan and his wife are now staying was Queen Dogethe's once. Most exciting!

1162 AD, End of the Year

The Advisor shrugs when you find him with reports but without updated Scrolls of Kingdom Status.

"I haven't the clue, my liege, but we can assume that the Empire is doing great."

"Relatively speaking?"

"Relatively speaking is our best bet today..."

1163 AD, Spring

Reports from Methiant bring the worst news; the capital has been hit by the plague! Thousands are suffering and hundreds are perishing from the dreaded sickness every day.

1163 AD, Mid-Spring

Quote

The plague continues its spread; it has moved to the borders of Felonsein province.

1163 AD, Late Spring

Now that the plague reached the rich lands of Felonsein, more and more villages begun to succumb to its macabre dance.

Meanwhile, in Donuth, some peasants have decided that if they gonna die of plague, they might as well try bandit life, stealing from poor and assaulting the rich! The governors are unable to deal with the problem by themselves.

You decide to...

A) Ask King Erik to send some soldiers to clear up the bandit menace.
B) Hire some lvl20 adventurers to go on a bandit killing quest.
C) Order the governors to man up and do their work properly.
D) Request the Methiantese Army to resolve the bandit problem in Donuth.

Houlandin III was pretty awesome yeah. How do you feel/what is your opinion about the filthy traitorous Damdamian scum? Are the Kiwi people still a thing under the Eldricans? Since I think I remember the Eldricans be a further west Kingdom that came over and conquered the Kiwis? Are Kiwis a related culture to the Luathbasian culture group?

Damdamian people best people!

Kiwis are marginalized in Eldrican Kingdom, and their culture (shared with Koi) is different from both Luathbasian and from Eldrican cultures.

Could we possibly get the chance to rebuild the House of Lech? Who was your favorite King/Emperor of the SPAMKINGDOM games Haspen? If we passed the edicts House of Learning and Patronage of the Arts and kept them going over a long time frame could we possibly start to see some major cultural development since they seem like Edicts that could have that kind of impact?

Maybe? Houlandin III of course. Sure I guess.

How martial/war-like is Methiantese/Luathbasian culture? What is our literary culture like in Methiant? Is there any cool geographical places in Methiant/Luathbas that hasn't been mentioned? What is the concept of honor like in Methiantese/Luathbasian culture? Is that one important fortress the House of Lech from the first game still around/used?

Pretty sure that culturally the region haven't progressed much, being engrossed in multiple wars, skirmishes and changes of overlordship since fall of Luathbas ;v

Not sure about places or honor, never paid much attention to that.

As for House of Lech, I'm pretty sure I mentioned in current SPAMKINGDOM that its rubble is laying somewhere around.

What is the prevalance of clay-made bricks in our society? How exactly do they lay bricks to make castles in SPAMKINGDOM? Is Masonry more prevalent then the use of fired bricks? If Masonry is more common, what is the process by which it is used?

What is the average size of a masonry/fired brick, and is it often used by the peasants as a makeshift weapon to collapse eachothers skulls?

Clay and pottery isn't very well established in Luathbas because the region is very muchly rock-prevalent. Shaped rocks and rock blocks are used for construction, clay is mostly used for pots and other water-holding vessels. Eldricans have much more clay, and so do Helliste. Parsia and Gubta use mudbricks, rock and sandstone.

No idea for both v;

How do our subjects feel about/think of our Empire and Emperor? Can you tell us a bit of what the culture in our Empire is like? Also what do the neighboring foreign peoples think about our Empire, Emperor, and people?

No.

Culture is fairly standard european western medieval, with some celtic and nordic infusions. If Albion is Norway, then Methiant is Denmark, Eldrican is French, Parsians are Turks and Damdamians are Swiss ;v

No.

7241
So where dat lance at, or is it simply a plot coupon 'v.

7242
You decide to flee!

But where to?

A) Somewhere away from Ceodwell, Felonsine territory maybe.
B) Seek shelter in Cydwyl, which isn't far!
C) Seek shelter in southern lands of Lametania or Rucus!
D) Seek shelter in Eldrican, far away from the plague!

7243
"Alright... then. It's time to go?"

7244
Laura took the lance and turned around almost, before she looked back at Ironside.

"What kind of symbol are we talking about here?"

7245
"Uhh, maybe? I don't know, I'm not the army statistician!"
