You decide to talk with the Spymaster first.

He tips his hat.

"Your Majesty, I bring an urgent report. It seems that Alldivines have been gathering their warrior-priests since the botched council. Their lending of mercenaries to nobility and foreigners ground to a halt, and both veterans and fresh recruits are being gathered within the Cloisters. My spies penetrated the Tech Cloister, which is both largest and closest to the capital at the moment, and, if their counts are right, there's already almost one-and-half thousand able-bodied men within the Cloister's walls."

You decide to...

A) Abolish the religious edicts, lest some gruesome war starts over them.
B) Abolish the Religion Tax, to show that you can be reasonable.
C) Drop the topic of compensation for the Fela incident, and make amends.
D) Press the Alldivines to yield to your demands for compensation.
E) Tell the Army to seize the Tech Cloister to prevent another incident.

You decide that they've exhausted your patience, and you should not honor your promise to repeal the tax; instead, you demand a monetary compensation from them in a lengthy, written correspondence to the high clergy of all three faiths.

1160 AD, Mid-Autumn

You receive a reply about your demand; Alldivine clerics refuse to compensate you for anything. There has been no reply from Pantheonists or Singularists yet.

As you and some nobles debate about this further assault on the office of the Emperor, it seems that the Spymaster needs to have a word with you.

A) He might be bringing vital information, let him in.
B) No, first I need to decide on upstart clergy.

Well, to be fair, you did base those games off of a Steam release indie title known as Kingdom. As you imitate that game to flatter, so too do others imitate you to flatter. It's a circle, my friend.

I think you meant Reigns ;v?

You tell them that you will not repeal that particular edict, and try to explain to them why not.

Subsequent events will be surely remembered by historians as 'Blasphemy of Fela'!

After your explanation gets an answer, the talk ping-pongs back and forth, escalating into violent removal of your personage from the castle, under protection of your many guards, as the clergy shouted 'godless!' 'blasphemer!' 'despot!' at your back, trying to get at it. Several high clerics and acolytes present have been injured in the fisticuffs with your guards, some greviously, and the whole matter gathered quite some attention from a crowd of peasants and citizenry. Only time will tell how this affects your authority and mood of the populace.

A week later you're back at the palace, and the court is in uproar. Some courtiers believe that you shouldn't have been present at the council or that you should've repealed the acts. Some believe this should be mediated to prevent violence, some think that the clergy needs to be reined in by force.

As for the volatile edicts of Religious Tax and Religious Equality...

A) I will repeal both the Tax and Equality.
B) I will repeal the Tax, as promised, but Equality stays!
C) They've done it, so no repealing of any edicts!

As for the reaction to the violent and dishonorable conduct of the clergy...

A) Send them all a letter, asking for formal apology.
B) Request a proper monetary compensation for your lost honor.
C) Issue arrests for the priests responsible for the violence.
D) Leave them be, this time.

* Haspen raises paw.

Why the heck are all those various unrelated suggestion games using 'spam' prefix? Most of them have more than one character design option or don't even use 'one of few' choice options, and updates are both lengthy and come about rarely - basically antithesis of spam progression!

This is siphoning away muh fame and fabulousness! Dis is outrage! V:<

You say you shall repeal the tax. You receive acknowledgement and gratitude of smallest order from the gathered clergy.

The next topic on hand is the religion tolerance edict. Many of higher clerics complain that this restrictive policy is tieing their hands together when it comes in dealing with outside faiths that are directly challenging the sets of beliefs practiced by Methiantese populace. Singularists have particular grudge toward Parsian Eleven, while Alldivines and Pantheonists alike have found common distaste for the proliferation of the Cult of Damed.

Then one of Singularists brings about an anecdote.

"One day I was walking down the main street of Luathbas, and what I saw? A Damed shrine, a Parsian house of worship, and preacher of Enyntheism on the corner. The foreign faithful were loud in their preaching, but where was my colleagues you ask? Two streets away, because all the prime spots were taken by lesser faiths!" The clergy, even from the other cults, nod and loudly comment in agreement. The discussion goes on for a while, but soon a major point of agreement surfaces; it would be better for peoples of Methiant, the priests say, to have three major faiths, instead of few dozens.

Finally, the high clergy of all three faiths asks you to repeal Religious Equality edict, so that they might work together to bring about unity of Methiant peoples and strengthen the nation's culture and traditions.

A) Well okay.
B) Hell no.

You decide to let the priests take control of the proceedings.

THe first topic is thus Religion Tax. Various clergy mention how it makes hard to keep maintenance of holy buildings and keep a supply of various religious implements and incenses whilst also paying annual tax to the Crown. All three cults agree that they want it repealed (a rare occurence, this).

A) Nah.
B) Sure.
