You whip up a connection to the Net and check for some interesting bartending trivia.

1236USY.7d/1m.1259h

You learn from an article that there's a drink that gained its name after a toxic chemical element, that being Arsenic. The first time it was created it stirred up quite a controversy because of its name and soon a holomedia storm caused SRC to almost pull the recipe from the databanks, but as with all holomedia storms it died down when the public had something else to put their minds on - that being the start of EXO-Lumina War against the Old Federation. The article then mentions that since then this mix was almost forgotten by patrons, and is one of least-frequently ordered drinks across the galaxy.

The article does include the recipe, though!

SUGAR ARSENIC: 75c

2 Shots of Dry Jet
Shot of Sucrosol
Shot of Buenberry

Serve in a cocktail glass.

As if on cue, the security console beeps at you - to let you know that "Dominion" has finished undocking and is headed for Gamma Urquanii Jump Gate.

What now?

A) Even more trivia!
B) Zirconius, for a change of pace!
C) Meh, let's just pass the time!
D) Actually, now that they're gone, let's continue reparing Fuel Pump #10!

You inform the young councilman that the woodcutters shall have their money.

501 AD, Mid-Autumn

The absolute last of Mammos have been brought to the Kingdom grounds by the soldiers sent there.

The tamers and Druids in charge of taming these majestic, but docile creatures, believe that there's good chances that the Mammos will breed in captivity and can be reintroduced to Surinthomusan pastures in coming years.

501 AD, Winter

Your wife Dugda is pregnant! The child should be born in Mid-Spring next year, if your healers and Druids are to be believed.

501 AD, End of the Year

When the Advisor brings in the Scrolls of Kingdom Status to you, you grimace at the sacred numbers.

Happiness: 2
Population: 3
Economy: 0!
Army: 4

"The situation is dire, my liege!" Says the Advisor, pacing about the room.

"Our Treasury is truly empty, the Mammos are not yet ready to be farmed, and the woodcutters are still setting up camp. Taxes this year barely covered our expenses and the Treasurer is saying that our Kingdom's economy is on road to nothing!"

"What are our choices?"

"Disband part of the Army, he says, melt down what's worth of the weapons for alloys and sell the rest so that we have at least some coin to maneuver with."

A) "Nay! I'm sure we can do without money for one year!"
B) "And he is right! Disband part of the army and squeeze that money outta the weapons!"

Day 5 of the Tournament

Quote
Tails, previous event continues

The elves remain, a few to even watch the spectacle, joining the large crowds that have gathered, as there will be half-final jousts today!

Quote from: Maiden Half-Final assignment
(2 for 2)
Lady Krona of Arperior: Alaren the Fat of Rek (a1s)
Lady Gildis of Kuram: Sir Tarman of Doktan (Kashyyk)

"Let it be known that the fair Maidens of the Tournament have came to an agreement, and thusly shall Lady Krona of Arperior favorite Alaren the Fat of Rek, while Lady Gildis of Kuram shall favorite Sir Tarman of Doktan!"

JOUST 5:
Sir Tarman of Doktan versus Jarl Hach of Glakis

The peoples in the crowds bet their hard-earned coins on their favorites as well, tinkling and clanking of the hard cash amidst shouting and cheering of the peasants!

Quote from: Betting Pool
Crowd Size: 8 (base 5, +1 Renown (Sir Tarman), +2 Renown (Jarl Hach)
Bets on Sir Tarman's victory: rolled 4, 3, 10, 2, 8, 4, 9, 5 = 45 Ducats
Bets on Jarl Hach's victory: rolled 2, 5, 7, 4, 8, 6, 6, 4 = 42 Ducats

Cheers and shouting of the crowd erupts anew when the two constants, riding their horses, are brought into the arena by their squires. The fair Maidens reach out with air-sent kisses to their favorites, for while two shall clash, only one shall be victorious! The leading judge himself is ready, having raises his black-and-white flag aloft!

"Thanks for the story, I guess."

"Hey, it's a story alright." Gering says, drinking the remainder of his shot.

1236USY.7d/1m.1230h

Just a moment later the main gate opens and Natasha shows in there.

"Hey Gering!"

"Yeah?"

"Boss wants us back because of engine trouble and is asking why you have your communicator offline!" Gering fishes into the breast pocket of his jumpsuit, pulling out a small oval communicator.

"Oh, huh, it totally is. Must've sat on it or something by accident." Gering turns sideways and smiles to Natasha from across the hall.

"Yeah, right! Now come over and help because Samel's getting on my nerves!"

"Well, duty calls." Gering rolls his eyes and quickly vacates his seat. "Thanks for drinks, barkeep, be seeing you some other time."

"Please come again." Gering waves and walks up to Natasha.

"See ya barkeep!" The woman shouts and thumbs-up at you.

You return the gesture from behind the counter, then begin cleaning up the glasses.

And by cleaning of course we mean putting them into washing machine.

1236USY.7d/1m.1232h

The bar is empty - for now.

A) Time for bartending trivia!
B) Time for Zirconius episode!
C) Pass the time!
D) Maybe Samel would be interested in a helping hand?

You take a sword from one of the guards and point it at the youth.

"Have at you!" He shouts angrily and attacks!

Quote
4*

Thic fights well, but you can't say that out loud, of course. He knows his stabs and jabs and parries quite competently, too. You go for a little sidestep and...

Quote
6*

And your sword impales him through his chest.

"Damn!" Then he collapses, vomits some blood, and dies.

You have the guards clean up the mess and have the corpse thrown to ravens, whilst councilmen murmur about your bravery and skill.

501 AD, Autumn

"The woodcutter's guild has a proposal?" You look up from your documents.

"Yes, my liege." Says one of the younger councilmen, bowing his head in respect as the guards close the door to your room. "They believe that after years of drought and this year's flood, the Great River will be calm for years to come, and it seems Druid are inclined to agree. So woodcutters are thinking to set up a big, big woodcutting camp in the east. The timber would be then sent downstream, and it could be sold for some profit."

"But they need money to get started."

"As it always is, my liege."

A) "No profits without investments, they say. Woodcutter's guild will have its money."
B) "Alas! I have nothing to spare."

"This time they must persevere on their own, I'm afraid!" The Advisor nods and leaves to announce your decision.

501 AD, Summer

It is an usual meeting between you and your councilmen, discussing every day affairs.

It should go as every other day.

But it doesn't - because a young man swings through the window!

"Vile usurper!" The red-haired man unsheathes his sword at you. "I am Thic, son of Swoll! You've taken what's rightfully mine, and you have killed my father! Prepare to die!!"

You decide to...

"How do you know all this?" Gering grins and places his hands on the counter.

"Natasha's part, she just told me. We've been working together onboard Dominion for almost half a year now. We talked one day about love and significant others and she talked about Corwyll."

"And Corwyll?"

"Well, three days after he joined we made a stop on one of your outposts for drinks, boss paid for them as usual, but Corwyll was in such a dump so I thought 'man, this guy looks like he needs another drink', so I bought him a cherrybomb. And then another. And he started talking, and I kept ordering him cherrybombs because I realized he needs not only a drink, but to talk his heart out. So I sat there, listening to his story, keeping him watered so to speak till he was done. Boss almost kicked us out cuz we stayed an hour over there."

A) "Corwyll left his home at Coral II?"
B) "So could Maria win against Corwyll in a court?"
C) "Thanks for the story, I guess."
