Wait, does that mean that the magical artifacts that we get from dwarves are made out of "blood sacrifices"? Is the principle material of the scepter of weather a handfull of our people that they temporary stole from us?

They draw blood from living beings with needles and pipes and mix it into their powders and alloys used in artifact making. After all, there's a lot of iron in blood :P

If someone REALLY piss us off we are going to make a sword from the blood of our enemies

write that down

A right way of thinking, but best way to go is to make a sword from blood of the someone's children and other loved ones, then use it to stab the fucker.

Wait will our artifacts eventually stop working as the magic of the world disappears?

Definitely.

We really do need to institute the House of Learning to master weather control before then.

Yeah, gotta build that Climatron!

You decide to wait a couple hours.

By the noon, the fog clears and you have a good sight of the lake. It is flat, and naught an animal nor fish seems to be inhabiting it or its surroundings.

The coast of the lake is mostly clear, while there's some small mounds and hills on the other side of it. Where's the entrance to the 'under', though?

A) Time to check every uneven spot of grass!
B) Obviously the mounds, that's where it is!

What exactly is the nature of the dispute between the elves and dwarves? I remember even very early in the game that Houlandin II's wife was deeply offended by our dealing with dwarves, and especially so when we commissioned an artifact.

Related question, what goes into making an artifact?

It goes beyond AD; elves took 'woven' magic as theirs, using non invasive methods to procure magic stuff from surrounding nature. Dwarves on other hand do with blood sacrifices and plow through the dirt and rock in search for magical minerals. After many, many disputes about these fundamental differences, elves got pissed and started fighting with dwarves, and because dwarves are stubborn, elves easily offended, and the two are both long-lived and believe their magic is 'superior' to the other, the conflict now last for over a thousand years ;v

You decide to navigate your way through the hills.

It takes you a long while to locate the lake. The sun is basically hanging over the horizon when you finally step up to the shores of Daisk lake. You set up a camp for the night.

(Supplies: 10)

When you wake up, you grimace; a lovely, thick, milky fog has rolled over the area.

A) Let's wait a couple hours, mayhaps it will get clear in here.
B) No time to waste though! Where's the entrance to the 'underlake'?

Hum, I have an important question.
How is it that Cyl lived so long?!?
I mean, he basically antagonized everyone around and spent a good amount of his time fighting, but somehow he reached his 70! Is he secretly a dwarf? Surviving out of sheer spite for his ennemies?

Sorceress' blessing raised minimum age cap by 10 years, so I do 'random sleep death from old age' ticks only since Cyl turned 50.

Meanwhile, RNG blessed your rolls in just right moments for Cyl (and, as we see from history, to the misfortune of most of his kids).

What are wizards, anyway?

Wizards are demigods and servants of good, wandering around and nurturing morality in rulers and leaders by guiding them to do good deeds. They are also means to protect humans from getting hurt by magic too much (or by being tainted by it).

Sorceresses are demigoddesses and servants of dark, wandering around and showing that through excesses, vice and money, you can get everything. Their spells also strengthen the world magic in local area, inevitably causing a spike in monsters, disasters and such.

So if Pantheonism has the "most" working mysticism, what are the Alldivine strengths, if any, regarding the supernatural?

Same for the Eleven Graces? Heck, maybe just some background on the Graces, they are apparently popular enough to have a court presence in the "new star" event but I recall no lore about their actual beliefs.

While northwestern faiths are based on Pantheonism and thus have magical ties to nature and arcane, southeastern faiths come from philosophy and astronomy (and astrology, and herbalism, and other doctor's stuffs). Thus, it's more common to see an Eleven astrologer giving Kings a horoscope, while Priests of Love of the Pantheon are performing a ritual to help the King's son get kids after multiple failures.

Alldivine, its roots obviously coming from southeastern philosophies, has almost nil supernatural strengths. They do a lot of martial discipline, strengthening of oneself, as well as herbalism and medicine instead, all very alluring things for peasants who want to protect their families from all those mini warlords and petty despots that popped up in the region since early 1000s.

You decide to take the road.

As you traverse the hills, the road slowly becomes overgrown by grass and singular cobblestones covered by dirt accumulated over years of disuse. Finally, you find yourself, surrounded by hills.

A) Time to take the road back and navigate through swamp.
B) I'm sure I can locate the lake and navigate my way outta here.

Hmm. Isn't the Ceodwell bloodline still technically alive through us via our grandmother and Solus's descendants? Since Solus was paternally descended from Prince Ceodwell?

Now for ultimate truth:

I actually don't keep real blood relation notes and what little was written down in the 600+ pages of SPAMKINGDOM# is all info we have, and nobody keeps bookmarks I think 'v.

Someone really should make a genealogy book outta this.

Hi, I'm with fluffer news agency, can you tell me the lore behind how you keep your fur so soft and glorious while still maintaining a forum game sensation beloved by billions of brain cells the world over?

Refined tuna oil cosmetic cream.

And I'm still a bit unsure how did something this simple get such attention. It started as half-assed attempt at suggestion game and I was going to discard it in few days and move on to something else.

Where exactly is the blood of the old Houlandins still lurking? Does Parsia still have it through Ceodwell? Have we managed to marry into any already?

Second, does this business about declining magic imply that you also plan to prevent the realisation of my dream of marrying as many elves as possible until we can actually get pointy ears to stick as a phenotype?

Blood of old Houlandins definitely migrated north; after Luathbas was disintegrated, their relatives wandered off to Tven (the Dukes of Tven had Houlandine blood) and to Dahnia, and then mingled with future Cydwyls and Helliste, but this blood relation nowadays is really nominal. The other, stronger branch started with martial but dim-witted Ceodwell (the first of ten or so Ceodwells), who created Kingdom of Ceodwell. It continued till they basically died off due internal squabbles and then you guys rolled over Ceodwell for grabs in early 1100s.

No idea, but elves are even more reclusive than dwarves. Good luck :P

Ah ok. How about Humans causing the decline of magic? Is it an thing that will always happen when there are to many humans or is it just something about the way they are now that is causing it?

Also will it ever be possible for us to finally achieve the rare and mystical harem? Will the word prophesied by the wise Omada "A cute intersex harem with everyone in love with the androgynous king and smart and useful enough into pushing the kingdom forward." ever finally be in our grasp?

Magic is natural, civilization is scientific. The more civilization grows and sciences go ahead, the less nature is magical and becomes devoid of magical beings.

...Neveeeerrrrrrrrrrr!

Also did the whole Damed hates non-humans help with the decline of magic since it's a fairly successful human religion? Do human always cause magic to weaken or is it something else about the way humans are now that is causing the decline?

Nah. It comes from the fact that they were always a bit narcissistic and thought themselves better than other, plus any other races they encountered were either uncivilized native tribes or hermitic villages easy for conquering and enslavement. A bit of mysticism thrown in to daily rituals and heeeeere comes Damed!

Ding ding ding :V!

The game is over.

Also editted these over to this post: Also our Hurthlings aren't just going to up and disappear someday because of the decline of magic are they? Because I'm kinda afraid they might as a fanciful race. If we somehow manage to some other fanciful races under our rule before all magical stuff starts hiding will they disappear? Is it also possible to get Hurthlings to spread more through out our Kingdom instead of just be isolated to their valley?

They're second least magic race of the world. They will slowly spread, and with enough care they will prolly not die off.
