You send the Army to bring order to streets of Ceodwellian cities once more.

1150 AD, Summer

After many years, Thaud Owalynn finishes his illuminated tome of history: "Yoean Dynasty: From Chaos, Enlightenment".

Per your instructions, he has concentrated on highlighting your dynasty's reforms and the unification process of the regional peoples under your banner. The 180+ pages manuscript has many illustrations, representing banners, your precedessors, and other important figures and events.

Held in high regard by historians of next centuries, of course it will come under attack in the age of Internet as being 'book of propaganda and justification of oppression of cultures and nations', but why bother yourself with historians of the next millenia? Pfft!

1150 AD, Autumn

Another gigantic battle took place just southeast of Bloodpeak Mountains, involving almost twenty thousand of troops (half each for both sides), and the casualties amounted to 3/4ths of the total number, this time mostly on Agaresian side however.

Finally, you get a reply from King Tetan I.

In the letter, he writes that the current circumstances has made him choose between honoring the deal, and spending the silver for the good of Eldrican peoples, and of course, like any sane leader, he has chosen the latter.

There's no mention whether this is temporary, and when and if and how he will honor the deal in the future.

A) Insolent, honorless, oathbreaking cur! Sound the horns of war!!!
B) Fine, we can let him go away with it.
C) Oh no you don't. Time to send another letter, with delegates, guards and some threats attached to it!

7532
You decide to give the money away and restore Pantheonist shrines, per agreements. The nobles bow in gratitude and leave, praising your name.

Then the messenger from Ceodwell arrives, with a letter.

Apparently, there has been some religious rioting in some of the larger cities. It seems that Alldivines, most of them displaced refugees, aren't taking kindly to their former Parsian 'oppressors' being allowed to establish shrines in Ceodwell, due to religious tolerance edict. It has finally escalated into brawl when a theological discussion in the marketplace turned violent after some of the more hot-blooded acolytes got involved.

Then, similar incidents started to happen in nearby cities.

A) Time to send the Army to restore public order in Ceodwellian cities.
B) It shows that Parsians aren't able to cooperate. Expel them!
C) Not my problem, the governor surely can handle this on his own.
D) Maybe Alldivines are stirring shit up? I ought to remind their high clergy of the imperial laws.

7533
The nobles enter the audience room. There are some loca Methiantese nobles as well as some from Felonsein, wearing their national colors.

The delegation politely bows their collective heads.

"Most blessed Emperor. We have noticed that the Treasury of the Empire has in recent years been steadily improving. Therefore, we're all here to request repayment for our services to the state, rendered a decade ago." The leader of Methiantese clique steps forward.

"Nine years ago, we've given money to you, worth the output of silver mines today. We ask to be given that money back now." The Felonsine leader moves forward as well.

"Back in the year 1137, you agreed to renovate Pantheonist shrines in our region. After recent upheaval, new temples and shrines to pray at would surely ease the minds of the peasantry there."

You decide to...

A) Flip the bird at both groups and send them away with nothing.
B) Restore Pantheonist shrines in Felonsein, but that's all.
C) Honor the promises, and give back the money and restore the shrines.
D) Repay the loyal nobles of Methiant, but that's all.
E) Ask that they be patneit and wait just few more years.

7534
You send them a demand to pay the 'pre-processed sugar and sugar derivatives' tax, otherwise you will have to evict them from Alarros.

1950, Week 3

There's some discontent amongst the inteligentsia on Alarros; apparently they don't like neither your military coup nor the recent suspension of Senate's powers. Apparently the leader of their movement is Juan Rabaul, a prominent socialist and engineering professor.

You decide to...

A) Imprison Juan for his connections to Murrikans.
B) Order mass 'removal' of the dissidents, including Rabaul's family.
C) Invite the professor for honest talks about the state of the state.
D) Let them grumble, how would eggheads be possibly a threat for me?
E) Restore the Senate's powers to silence the inteligentsia.

You suspend the Senate's powers temporarily, citing 'bureaucratic corruption and working against the state' as primary concerns.

It ticks off some people, but nothing major comes out of it. At least, not on the island.

1950, Week 2

Terrible truth surfaces amongst your clique; the main exporter of Alarrosian cereals to the international market, BeakFoodsCO, is actually funded third-source by Murrikans rather than by some obscure non-aligned country of Yuritanistan!

What shall we do about it, presidente??

A) Kick them out of the island, then, and find a new, hopefully more trusted, exporter.
B) Violently get rid of these western spies who are siphoning our dollarinos for Murrikan treasury!
C) Ask them to pay the 'abstract sugar tax' that they've forgot to pay, if they want to stay on Alarros.
D) Eh, I'm sure they can't be doing much harm, they can stay in Alarros. Might even do a trick for our PR!

7536
You decide to spend money on some celebratory feasts and such for the tired populace.

1150 AD, Late Spring

Two audiences need to be resolved; one is your courtiers, the other is messenger from governors of Ceodwell province.

First you meet with...

A) The nobles.
B) The courier.

7537
You decide to have the ringleaders of this sorry rebellion exiled, and proper Methiantese officials will once again ruler over the land as integral part of the Empire.

With all the rebellions put down, you declare the end of the campaign!

Congratulations! Cyl I successfully completes yet another military campaign!

Your continuous eradication of rebels has gained you moniker of 'Pacifier' amongst some nobility, but you already have a title worthy of history!

1150 AD, Mid-Spring

Your 'merciful' dealing with the rebel leaders has brought you fame amongst the populace, as being a 'firm yet just' man. Your authority sure has risen, and perhaps the people are a bit happier with your rule, too.

Finally, you get a chance to look at the Scrolls of Kingdom Status:

Happiness: 2
Population: 6
Economy: 5
Army: 6
Imp.Authority: -1

You can't help but notice the dip in population; your peasant hordes are bleeding to all this recruitment, rebellions and other things.

The Advisor informs you that during your absence, Houlandin wisely decided against issueing any Edicts. Also, that the court was pondering about sponsoring some festivities this year, although ultimately they decided against it, citing potential costs of such revelry.

A) "And they were right about that."
B) "We ought to mellow the peasants though! Party time it is!"

7538
You are El Presidente Edgar Juarez!

You were once a simple Colonel in the Alarrosian Armed Forces, but the corrupt ways of the Murrikan-smooching Democratic Council of Alarros tickled off some people in military, who prefer to see their island and their peoples well-treated and away from bad capitalist influences.

Some weeks and one bloody coup later, you rise to power! You're installed as the 15th President of Republic of Alarros (founded 1925).

The military of course shall back you up in your decisions, remember that. Your alignment is towards United States of Moskovia, the glorious beacon of communism and socialism on the whole of Terra.

Alarros isn't an especially big island, but prospers thanks to the exports of cereals, ores and oil. The first is a stable source of income and food, while the others sell well on the international market, especially oil - but it is also one of most violent trade goods, especially if Murrikan oil corporations get involved in price meddling!

1950, Week 1

You're given the Republican Ledger!

Loyalty: 40
Proletariat: 40
Dollarinos: 30
Military: 50
*Navy: 10

You don't quite understand the significance of these esoteric numbers hastily scribbled on this one-page document, and your Aide is babbling in purple prose about them. Oh well!

And your first debacle comes up just three days later! The days of lazily puffing your cigars in the office are surely gone forever.

The People's Senate is debating about the legality of your presidency, presidente!! It seems that some of the democratically elected officials do not like having a military superior over them, and would rather host elections to determine your successor.

You decide to...

A) Dissolve the Senate - Allaros doesn't need constitutionalism anyways!
B) Give a speech to the People's Senate, and win their hearts.
C) Endorse the elections, everyone will vote for me after all, right!
D) Suspend the Senate's powers temporarily, till they change their minds.

7539
Eyy, let's grow some bananas, wear fashionable military outfits and enjoy a good cigar while the threat of nuclear war looms in the world politics!

Eyyyy!

You decide to keep on starving them.

1149 AD, Late Winter

You receive a report from the forces in distant northeast of Agares; apparently a huge battle was fought at the base of Bloodpeak mountains. According to the report - which seems implausible to you - there was fifty thousand people involved, a third of that being alliance forces. Half of the numbers, about equally from both sides of the conflict, perished in the fighting.

You ask for confirmation, and more detailed summary of your Army's numbers and losses.

1150 AD, Spring

Shortly after you welcome the new year under the lit sky, an envoy from Evalians arrives. Humbled, he wears the traditional white scarf of surrender.

A) Ha! Time to raze the city to the ground and show them what I think of rebels!
B) I accept equally humbly, and the instigators are welcome to find a new home somewhere outside Methiant.
C) March into the keep and murder those responsible. If the citizens behave, they will be unharmed.

7541
You decide to remind Tetan I of the silver deal with a letter.

1149 AD, Midwinter

A report from the Treasurer arrives; besides usual arrivals, the glasswork provided some money as well.

Also, an envoy from King Euron arrives. He and his court are willing to accept your seniority, as long as they retain some autonomy and powers over their compatriots.

A) I'm as constant as the eastern star, I accept naught but unconditional surrender, because everyone is destined to become my subject sooner or later!
B) Fine.

7542
You decide to starve them further.

1149 AD, Winter

They continue to starve, but soon they will surrender.

Unfortunately there comes a report from the court; apparently, the silver promised by Tetan I of Eldrican has failed to arrive this year. The court is asking whether they should do something about it or let this slight go unanswered.

A) I'm too busy. Tetan I can have his way this year, but he better fix it up in the next.
B) Do I have to do everything myself? Send him a letter of reminder, might he have forgot about the deal.
C) Then they better prepare my Army for yet another campaign, because I'm gonna get that silver flowing back by force.

7544
You decide to send an offer of negotiations to King Euron.

The messenger returns next day; Euron and his peoples are only interested in joining the Empire as free people of Eval, and if you will respect their quasi-independence, they will put down their weapons.

A) He mispelled 'Methiantese subjects' and I'm gonna take that as an insult. Starvation it is!
B) I could be partial to making them vassals instead. I mean, come on, we're big and strong, what better senior could they get?
C) Fine, a frankenstein of client-state-slash-ally works for me, as long as they stop rebelling. It's getting tedious.

7545
You order the siege of their capital to begin!

1149 AD, Autumn

The siege continues, and you get some very scary news from a scout that met with some refugees from deep south - Holy Damdamian Empire has just spectacularly imploded on itself!

Apparently, after their first Emperor died, his son and heir got sick and died also. Because he haven't got time to get more kids than a single daughter so far, some people didn't want to back her (nevermind her mother) and instead declared independence or begun a fight to restore republicanism to Damdamians. States are fighting with each other, usurpers or free kings rise to the thrones, and everyone is in it for himself. Monarchists are trying to hold on to power and established a regency for Empress Iva (who is only 10 at the moment), but still, people around the nation aren't listening. A mighty example would be Margrave of Rufus, at Methiant-Lametanian border, who just declared himself an independent king.

Boy, tis a mess if you ever saw one.

1149 AD, Mid-Autumn

The siege continues. Weak attempts by Evalians outside the capital to disrupt your siege were easily squashed.

1149 AD, Late Autumn

Your agents bring news that food shortage has struck Evalian capital.

Few days later, you get even (potentially) better news; Euron is looking to negotiate.

A) Naah, let's starve them a while longer.
B) Finally, he has got some oil in that brain of his.
