Neither your courtiers, nor the public, cares about your words! They loudly clamor that you've just wronged all the deities possible with your decision!

You can bet that your authority and people's happiness just took a big hit.


The fighting of the coalition forces is currently centered in the south of Bloodpeak Mountains. Agaresians are still aplenty but your soldiers are fighting the best they can.


The new star has became much less brighter than it was, but that doesn't pacify your subjects. In fact, a mass of peasant rebels has sprung up in the west!

Claiming that they no longer want to be subjects of blasphemous, reclusive and kinslayer-abiding Emperor, peoples in the cities in Felonsein and Eval are assaulting your officials, plundering noble manors and attacking Army garrisons. Several governors have been killed; few have fled or remained to coordinate some resistance, but all plead for the Emperor to come help them.

Besides some reinforcements and new recruits that were supposed to be sent north-east, your Army is away from the heart of the Empire. An emergency council is held, where your statesmen and nobles alike discuss possible solutions that you could take...

As for the Army fighting the Agaresians...

A) Recall it at once, the Empire is more important that some distant savages!
B) It will stay there, we can't abandon our allies like that!

As for the expeditionary force in Orcworld...

A) Recall it at once, new world can wait - trouble in the Empire cannot!
B) Its small numbers won't probably make a difference, it can stay in the Orcworld.

As for the leadership of the anti-rebel forces...

A) I'm sure I have plenty of skilled officers to handle this.
B) Houlandin can go and deal with the rebels.
C) I will personally put down those filthy rebels!!

As for potential of negotiation...

A) Let's try to find and contact some of the rebel leaders, just in case.
B) I do not negotiate with terr- I mean, rebel scum!

You condemn Iwald's rashness and praise Houlandin's ability to defend himself from the assault, well, the duel.

Your subjects and noblemen alike don't take that lightly. Your 'praise' of what is in their eyes murder angered all layers of society.


Agaresians are being crushed by the triple coalition army, the reports say. Bloodpeak Mountains are already on the horizon, apparently!

Meanwhile, the expeditions in Orcworld have little success. Land was charted, alright, and the vegetation continues to be healthier in the east, but besides few marauding groups of orcs, no one or nothing of note was found.

What concerns the people most at the moment, however, is the new star in the heavens. In span of two weeks, a region of space dark and dotted with tiny speckles like all others have been illuminated by appearance of a luminous object. It is white-ish and very bright star, and, what startles people the most, is visible, albeit dimly, even during the day.

A) Doom is upon us! We need to find a Wizard, and quick!
B) Stop looking at the sky, you dumb fools!
C) We must consult with best astrologists and mystics about this!

Reports come of battles fought against Agaresians. The lizard riders would be squashed if not the fearsome giant war lizards they rode, which, your operators have finally confirmed, are not afraid of neither sounds nor flashes of Fireblood explosions.

Meanwhile, your court is inflamed by Iwald's proclamation! He publicly decried Houlandin as unfit to be future Emperor, both physically and mentally, given his lost eye and his preference for men, which endangers the future of the ruling dynasty. Some courtiers are against the youth, but some seem to be at least silently supporting Iwald's claims.

Houlandin and Iwald have failed to reach an agreement, and seem to be willing to come to blows!

You try your best to ignore this situation, as brothers, like all brothers, always come into conflict over many things. You therefore do not oppose when Iwald challenges Houlandin to a duel to death!

As you emerge from your abode of tranquility and peace, you hear terrible news; the two were evenly matched for a while, but ultimately Houlandin struck his mace right into Iwald's head, crushing his skull and killing him instantly. He shows little regret besides some silent contemplation and donation upon the Alldivine altar.

A) He asserted his authority and his right to be an heir. He should be praised!
B) Tis kinslaying! Fratricide! Crime of the worst kind! Houlandin is to be executed!!
C) I have not sanctioned this duel! Houlandin killed his brother, and with that, he lost his priviledge of inheritance!

You decide to have Eivan marry Lerna to get some ties going with the Hellistes, explorers of the far east.


You hear that Parsians have decided to attack the Agares! The mighty eastern warrior hordes are marching through Waterless Plains and beyond, bringing with them crude Fireblood machines, some Gubta-bred Oliphaunts, and many, many supplies.


Silver, gold and gemstones arrive in the Treasury.

Lerna arrives to marry Eivan. The girl is pretty to the eye and does have a nice voice, but you fail to see any other good quality about her. Eivan, on other hand, cannot seem to be able to pry his eyes from her bosom.

Few days later, an emissary from King Cidric arrives at your court.

"Greetings, Emperor Cyl! My master, King Cidric, falling upon the binding words of the treaty of alliance, requests that Army of Methiant joins his forces upon a crusade against the vile Agaresians. It is about time these mindless rapists, pillagers and arsonists have a taste of their own medicine!"

You hush and shush your courtiers. Cult of Damed is welcome in Methiant, and therefore provides a soft cushion against Damdamian aggression, or at least you hope so. There's no need to panic (yet).


You get news from the Orcworld; apparently a forty strong group of mercenaries, scholars and soldiers is going to journey southwards from the tunnel, in hopes of reaching a settlement of Ur-uk, the desire to learn and establish contact with these species being the main topic on the minds of scribes and researchers at the moment.

Meanwhile, you receive a report from one of your royal diplomats, Aólwach, currently working in the northlands. Apparently, the old King Heid of Helliste is looking for a groom for the third and youngest of his daughters, Bjeda, who is eighteen, and is said to have a beautiful singing voice.

A) A perfect match for young Eivan, who himself is barely twenty.
B) A lady like her will help distract Saenn from memories of his lost eye.
C) Not a wife I'm looking for my sons, unfortunately.

You decide to not supress the knowledge; instead, notes are sent to scribes around Methiant that a new world has been discovered, with new lands and new species and new stars on the sky to chart.

Scholars from around the region and beyond come to the Ironbone Mountains. Locals have a great time, serving as guides and mercenaries for heavy coin as the scholars furiously scribble down rumors, hearsays and reports from those on the other side, and few even brave to check the new world themselves (off course, staying put in the fortified camp on the other side). You can bet many books and scrolls will be written in next years. Who knows, maybe the proliferation of written works and abundance of traveling scholars might trigger some intellectual growth in the Empire?

And now for something different; the king of Lametania has died, and his son, after taking upon the regnal name Dann, has converted publicly with his courtiers to Damed, the Father. Even now your nobles and high clerics mumble about threat of a 'crusade' launched against northern kingdoms that still preach various other faiths.

You're being urged to do something.

A) We don't have anything to do, silly oafs! Damedian faith is already spreading in Methiant because we allow for religious freedom. Why would they attack a nation filled with their own brothers in faith?
B) Truly, this Dann is an enemy and a threat to the stability in the region. Converting like that, he is clearly plotting something! My agents should go and find a way to 'remove' him!
C) Lametania slips away from its northern roots and traditional faith day by day. It's about time we forcibly 'save' the Lametanians from certain doom. To arms!!
