"Emperor Cyl, I bring news of utmost importance! My lord and master, King Shapur, is not interested in hostilities with you, but he cannot abide to let heathens stay in Parsia. If you so desire, he can instead grant the worshippers of Alldivines a safe passage into your lands."

"And what of those who wish to stay in Parsia?" The Advisor asks.

"They can always convert. Otherwise, King Shapur does not vouch for their security."

A) "This is a pretext to war! Tell King Shapur I will meet with him on the battlefield!!"
B) "That is fine, I will take any 'heathens' King Shapur does not want."
C) "That won't do! What I want is to Alldivines to have equal laws in Parsia!"

"Greetings, Emperor Cyl! I bring word from King Daric. While he praises your open-mindndess and pursuing of religious tolerancy, he can't help but notice that there's one prominent faith that is underepresented, if not, as he puts it, defined an enemy of Methiant. King Daric speaks of Cult of Damed. He wishes to see the Cult also gain some recognition and representation in Methiant."

"Therefore, he asks whether you would be complaint to his offer of sponsoring construction of Damed shrines in the south and west of Methiant, so that Damed cultists traveling and migrating from Eldrican and Lametania could find a place to worship their beloved Father."

A) "Never! Damed will never be worshipped here!"
B) "If he pays for the shrines out of his own pocket, I see no problem with that."

The Cydwyllian messenger comes in with several guards, and they deposit three chests before your throne. Inside, there are various coins, although you don't think there's more than your Empire earns yearly by taxation.

"A gift from King Cidric to the noble Emperor Cyl of Methiant!" The messenger proudly announces before withdrawing a bit.

You decide to be...

A) Proper and accept the gifts, praising King Cidric's generosity.
B) Generous and return the gifts, asking instead that Cidric spend the money for his subjects' prosperity.

The Stag and Eagle are adopted as the new Imperial banner, and while the capital city remains the same, a marvelous keep, dedicated to prosperity of Methiantese peoples, will be erected inside the capital's walls. Architects believe it will take lots of money and several years, but they promise that it will shine with splendour for centuries!

Late Spring, 1135 AD

Your proclamation has of course a particular effect on neighbouring countries; many of them send delegates to the Emperor. There are envoys from Cydwyl, Eldrican, Lametania, as well as the Duchy of Eval and even New Parsia. The first to receive the Imperial audience will be...

A) The Cydwyl representative!
B) The Eldrican diplomat!
C) The Evalian messenger!
