PTW and a blessing ;v

The captain rubbed his face.

"I was hoping to intimidate him into squeezing out another bag of money for us. Oh well... I accept your surrender, good sir seaman."

According to my calculations, there's no option set with more than 3 votes.

Therefore we will have a second phase of voting, where you pick one of the two sets with most votes!

1. CBBBD
2. CAACD

As you can easily notice, you're basically voting for coat of arms, capital location and commemoration thing cuz the urge and motto are the same in both sets.

Ethan looked at the money, and rubbed his chin.

"I'm not really sure this is enough... maybe we should sink his ship anyways? What you think, guys?"

7926
"And so do I! Surrender immediately, or we will sink your boat with you still on it!"

7927
Imic's turn!

You consent to the decision of the council, and everyone pledges their undying support of your decision. Thus, the process of creating an Empire begins! Some part of the Treasury will be spent on this, but oh well, you didn't think this would be done cheaply, right? But more on them soon.

Right?

1st Mid-Spring, 1135 AD

Your old Kingly robes are taken away from you, and you see them for the last time. A royal cloak of purpure velvet, trimmed with ermine fur, is laid upon your shoulders. You hold the Coronation Staff as your wife takes off your Kingly crown. Meanwhile, the royal artificers pass the Advisor a new crown, one with red dome over the golden and bejewelled circle that will now cover your head. You then take into your other hand The Wolf-Fang, and pose, supporting self on the sword and the staff, allowing your peoples to gawk and stare at you in awe and adoration.

You are now the Emperor; you're above Kings, you're above Judges, you're above Archpriests. Three pillars of a nation embodied in one person.

You are Emperor Cyl I of Methiant, King of Ceodwell and Felonsein, Overlord of Donuth and Tiftit Hurthlings!

You feel the urge to say...

A) I am the State!
B) We are the Emperor!
C) Long Live the Empire!

Royal artificers and heraldry meisters were working hard on a new Coat of Arms that would best represent the mighty and glorious Empire of Methiant, and two concepts got to the top, yet there is still division amongst the workers. You look over the coats, and decide to declare that the blazon of the Coat of Arms of the Methiant Empire will be...

There are also various ideas about moving the capital of the new Empire somewhere else. This will take money and time, but architects are already out-doing one another with ideas for a new palace!

A) Why move if it's cozy here? Just make our current palace at Methe glorious and that's all we need!
B) The new capital will be Luathbas, the largest of cities in all Methiant.
C) The new capital will be Tech, currently the most central-located of cities in all Methiant.

Also, to commemorate the establishment of the Empire, you should commission something equally grandiose! You decide to commission...

A) A glorious statue of yourself, cast from purest orichalcum alloy. It shall be erected at the largest marketsquare of the capital city.
B) A magnificent arc of granite, gold and inlaid jewels, standing at the entrance to the central plaza of the capital city.
C) An enormous ceremonial keep of marble, crystal glass windows and gold tiles, where all important ceremonies will take place.

You also should declare a central 'motto' of the new Methiantese Empire, something your courtiers and your successors should make a priority. And that item shall be...

A) Protection of ... Faith!
*AA) Alldivine
*AB) Pantheonist
*AC) Singularist
B) Expansion of Methiantese Borders!
C) Establishment of Lasting Peace in the Region!
D) Prosperity of Methiantese Peoples!

//This update has 5 different votes to be cast. Make sure you write them down properly, cuz (per usual) incomplete/errorenous votes will be simply ignored.

It took you three SPAMKINGDOM games and more than a year to finally, finally get into Empire creation process. I have notes on this particular concept lying around unused since December 2016, dammit. But finally we can get into this.

I'm so proud of y'all *sheds a tear*

You decide to invest in the lands of the Hurthlings, to help the little farmers change from tribal societes into truly civilized and wealthy small peoples!

The initial wagonloads of money and supplies are already sent, and while this project will definitely take a whiel and require yearly spending, your Treasurer believes the Kingdom can easily afford it.

Your courtiers have decided to call for this council on their own.

You're seated amongst the most prominent figures of the Kingdom, all of them looking excited and with some certain degree of... understanding between them.

The Advisor speaks up first.

"My liege, this is a council called with intention of changing Methiant forever."

The Treasurer speaks up next.

"Sire, our bureaucratic administration has let us run the country smoothly and fill its Treasury with wealth beyond imagination."

The Marshal stands up and salutes.

"MY LIEGE! Our professional and well-funded Army is the largest and most prestigious in the region, with mighty machines of war at our disposal and our enemies shivering in dread!"

The Arch-Governor unfolds his scrolls.

"According to our censuses, our vast Kingdom is populated with great number of peoples, all whom praise the name of King Cyl and the Yoean Dynasty."

Various nobles speak up, all praising your accomplishments and those of your predecessors. As the words of praise quieten down, the elderly Advisor stands up, and all other sit, before you're adressed by him again.

"Our great King! We believe it is time for our court to do something what few have done before. It is time for our Kingdom to become an Empire! Empire of Methiant, with the Emperors of Yoean Dynasty, standing above all small and mighty men and women, at its wheel of fate, steering it to glory and prosperity forever!"

Congratulations! Kingdom of Methiant has fulfilled all of game conditions to become an Empire!

As an Empire, it will unlock a new 'Imperial Edicts' ability. Edicts can be issued yearly, and will be an easy tool to change how the government and internal affairs of the Empire work, although you will have to maintain your authority all the time.

Furthermore, the values in the Scrolls of Kingdom Status will be capped at 12 instead of 10, with the highest values representing advantage over all other non-Empire nations.

Proclaiming oneself an 'Emperor' is obviously rather arrogant thing to do, and will of course sour the relationships with your neighbours, who will jealously look in your direction - but what do you care, you're better than them anyways!

Be warned, however, that this decision is basically irreversible.

Thus there is only one question that needs answering:

Do you declare the establishment of the 'Empire of Methiant'?

A) Yes, absolutely!
B) No. Ask me again sometime in the future.

It's time to sprinkle the peasants with monies!

Not only it saved peoples from dying, they also praise your name for the support they've got. Well done guy!

1134 AD, End of the Year

The Advisor rather excitedly hurries into your bedroom, disturbing your daily lecture of the Great Histories, and instead filling your hands with Scrolls of Kingdom Status.

Happiness: 8
Population: 8
Economy: 12!
Army: 8

Oh wowza.

"My liege!" You're pretty sure you know what he will be talking about now.

"The Treasury is filled with wealth that asks to be spent! To ought avoid reputation of a scrooge, we should spend part of it in some way."

"You're repeating yourself a bit."

"I know that, but what I say still holds true, sire!"

You decide to...

A) Sponsor some glorious celeberations to appease peasants and nobles alike.
B) -
C) Refurbish, renovate and repair the royal Palace.
D) Send some gifts to one of our neighbours to strengthen relations.
E) Seek the services of a traveling and powerful Sorceress.
F) Commission some grandiose statue to reflect your glory and majesty as King of Methiant.
G) Invest in the rather undeveloped agricultural lands of the Hurthlings.
H) Raise the funding of the Army even higher, so it becomes even grandier and larger than before.

For the colors, I like the purple one. Maybe we can replace the yellow by orange, to avoid a too big "in your face" contrast, else this is my favourite so far

In heraldry, the point of contrast is so the banner is visible and recognizable in bad weather conditions 'v.

You offer to send his way some money. After some more talking, during which he admits he isn't particularily happy to have inherited an almost empty Treasury, you agree to send him the next year's income from silver and gold mining. He thanks you profusely.

By the evening, you're on the road back to Methiant.

1134 AD, Late Winter

The weather, mild and caml in previous winter months, has recently picked up on the severity. The blizzards continue on for hours, and many a road and settlement is buried in snow. People have hard time traveling, and many peasants are helpless, hungry and alone.

A) Time to send money and supplies to those in need!
B) Alas, tis winter time in our lovely nation after all.
