You try to get Cidric talking about money.

Quote

"My coffers do not have much to lend you, King Cyl."

"Actually, I was hoping to help you fill them."

"How?"

A) "You see, I have this glassware..."
B) "I was thinking about giving you a loan. A small one."
C) "By sending some money your way."

//Added 5 new coats to previous post!

You try to persuade him to agree to have Agna marry Ustwelf.

Quote

Cidric laughs it off.

"I do not wish to anger my uncle, apologies. And our Kingdoms have already bonded with one marriage. One should not be greedy!" Cidric loses interest in politics pretty soon and returns to revelry, while you have to move on as well. And poor Ustwelf is again without a potential bride.

Two days later, after the feasts are done with, Cidric surprises you by willingly coming over to your chambers.

"The festivities are over, and while we have arranged some sort of agreement between us, maybe there's something else you wished to discuss with me?" You decide to seize the opportunity and talk about...

A) Money!
B) Armies!
C) Cults!

EDIT: 3 MORE COATS for Lametanian duchies!

You decide to pester Cidric about possible double marriage. He easily explains to you whom the girl is.

"That's Agna, my cousin by mother's side. Her father and my uncle is planning to have her married to a wealthy Helliste merchant."

A) "I see, thank you for telling me."
B) "Don't you think that Ustwelf, who is dancing with her, would make a more lovely match for her?"

And now for something different!

Thanks to Lord_lemonpie, who in his post in a different thread included a link to drawshield.net, I was finally able to do what I always wanted - quickly draw coats of arms for various nations of the region!

Therefore I present, CoA's of Methiant, Cydwyl, Eldrican, Gubta, Lametania, Parsia, and the Holy Damdamian Empire (in that order)!

Spoiler: 7 Coats of Arms (click to show/hide)

I will probably add more soon, but don't really have any ideas. Dahnia would have a fox, I think? I dunno.

EDIT: Added Coats of Arms for Agares, Albion, Dahnia, Helliste and Koi!

Spoiler: 5 New Coats of Arms (click to show/hide)

EDITEDIT: 3 more Coats, for Lametanian Duchies; Eval, Aran and Llamber, in that order!

Spoiler: 3 Extra Coats of Arms (click to show/hide)

EDITEDITEDIT: And finally 2 CoA's for Eldrican duchies; Alsas and Tirine.

FINALEDIT?: Three remaining Coats of Arms, for the far-western State of Prawlant, Duchy of Tavlak and Republic of Calvendocia!

Spoiler: 3 Final Coats (click to show/hide)

You agree to the alliance and Cidric orders two pitchers of wine to celebrate.

One pitcher, of course, is for you alone.

The feast continues on, and you spot Ustwelf dancing and chatting with several ladies, but it seems he is enamored with a flaxen-haired girl about his age. Given her dress and that several maids seem to accompany her, she must be important.

A) Let's ask Cidric about possible extra family bond?
B) It's a party after all!

You try to convince him into some sort of military-

"Alliance!" He exclaims happily, equally happily munching on some chicken leg. "If we were to protect each other, you with those Thundercats of yours, and me with my proud cavalrymen, nothing could possibly endanger our Kingdoms! What you say, dear father?"

A) "Err, sure."
B) "No, that's not what I was thinking about!"

You decide to sell the stockpiled and fresh glassware to local peoples with money.

Quote

Your trade advisor reports some nice profits (inevitable, considering the amount sold), but what's more important the buyers, of nobility and craftsmen and merchants, were very excited to get their hands on a new brand of quality goods. They surely think better of you because of this!

1134 AD, Midwinter

You attend the marriage ceremony between Cidric and Eirika. The young couple looks beautiful and you can't help but have your moustache wobble from emotions. After all, you're the first from the dynasty to live and rule this long to be able to marry off your children and even get grandkids.

The grandiose feast is sponsored by Cidric's court, mostly by his wealthy uncles, and the young King, just like few months ago, seems more inclined to party hard rather than do any diplomatizing with his father-in-law.

Though there is a moment when he finally sits down at your side. You have a slight deja vu experience, but oh well. You decide to talk about...

A) Family!
B) Religion!
C) Money!
D) Army!

You decide to write Shapur a letter, full of your displeasure about handling of religion in Parsia.

Few days later, as you're closing your eyes to get some sleep besides your wife, you feel a gentle breeze and some presence within the room. You sit up just in time to see an assassin sneaking toward the bed with a dagger!

Quote

You manage to grab your sword just in time to deflect the strike, which sends the assassin running!

Quote

The guards, alarmed by your wife's screams, barge in just as the man with the dagger jumps through the window. One of the guards alerts those outside and the rest bolt out of the chambers, giving chase.

A little while later in the night you learn that the assassin didn't get away but that he also didn't survive; some archers on the wall pincushioned him with arrows as he tried to climb over the walls.

In the morning, your Spymaster has some unpleasant news.

"My liege, we have checked the belongings of the dead assassin. He had no information on him." He presents you a dagger, well-made and of local design. It could've been made anywhere from Eldrican to the Lametania and its 'duchies'. The Spymaster will send his agents to gather information in these places, while your captain of the guard will triple the amount of guards on active duty, 24/7.

1134 AD, Winter

Your courtiers mention that Connan shapes to be yet another martial genius in his youth. He especially has shown talent for archery, of all things.

Silver, gold, gemstones and metals arrive, all providing profits for the Treasury.

And then there's the glassware from previous year and this. No one abroad has positively replied to your inquiries, so...

A) We gotta ask around again!
B) We gotta sell it to our own people.

The first is nice, but maybe arrange the arrows in a slight arc? So that they all point to the centre of the shield.

Also @vastaghen12, you mentioned one time that you were interested in drawing Houlandin III from the first SPAMKINGDOM game, is/was it in your future drawing plans or actually just a random blurb? v;

You send your mighty Army against the dragon!

Quote
6

The battle is a mighty one, worthy of song and bard's tale! In opening move, the officers managed to perforate one of Dragon's wings after quadruple volley of Thundercat fire, which caused the giant lizard to become flightless. Then, the footsoldiers and horsemen descended upon the beast like ants, overwhelming it. Finally, in fifth hour of the fighting, one young horseman called Ydwig managed to plunge his lance right into the dragon's eyesocket and into its brain, sending it into spasmatic fit that ended only with its last breath!

Despite many hundreds of casualties, the loss is offset by a throng of patriotic youths, voluntarily taking upon soldiery careers to be 'part of the best army in the world'.

1134 AD, Mid-Autumn

Crafters and leatherworkers alike have turned the bones and leather of the slain Dragon into fine trinkets and souvenirs from the battle, all of these sold with a tax that filled the Treasury somewhat!

1134 AD, Late Autumn

There are some disturbing news from the east; Shapur began a campaign to reinforce the local religious orthodoxy of Eleven; numerous foreign cults are being curbed in power and their worshippers are introduced to a novelty but highly cruel concept - a worship tax.

The Alldivine movement suffers the most; many of the cult's keeps and manors were retaken by Parsian military and several promiment religious leaders were forced to relocate. This is particularily devastating blow because the Alldivine philosophy has first spread to Parsian region, then to Ceodwell and finally to the populous Luathbasian basin.

A) My fellow Alldiviners are being persecuted!? DEUS VULT!!
B) This deeply troubles the Crown of Methiant. King Shapur will soon receive a letter filled with my displeasure at his actions!
C) Eeeh, it's his country, I don't feel like I should be getting involved.

Why isn't there an option for "F: Give it a great tribute of wealth and a fair maiden, on condition that it agrees to go attack Lametania instead"? :P

Oh yeh, knew I was forgetting something, fixed.
