"It seems that we've got some unwanted attention." Ethan patted his belt and looked at it.

"Claude, where's my spyglass?"

You promise to intervene on their behalf and write a letter to the despicable young noble. The clerics of Pantheon thank you profusely.

Next day, you send a messenger to the palace while a courier is sent with a royal letter to the young nobleman. Still, the Council reconvenes. After all are seated at their tables once again, you decide that the next topic of discussion will be...

A) Philosophical debate between Theists (Singularism, Pantheonism) and Ietsists (Alldivinism, Enyntheism).
B) Reconcilliation of Enyntheist Heresy with the Alldivine Faith.

But if you want, you can instead say that...

C) All important topics have been covered, and thus the Council has come to its end.

You decide to give them a small amount of money from Royal Treasury. They thank you profusely.

The Pantheonists also have a request.

"A certain Felonsine noble has promised to sponsor construction of new temples of our cult in that region if we borrow him money for a while. But shortly before the loan was paid, said noble died of illness and his son took over, and has refused to return the money. We've of course asked the courts to help mediate the issue, but it seems the noble's son has some friends there. Can you intervene on our behalf, good King Cyl?"

A) "No."
B) "I will write a letter to the boy, a King's order if you will."
C) "If it's money it's all about, they I will give you some if you give up on this little deal you had with the boy's father."

You decide to grant some audiences to the big guts.

Singularists have nothing they could've asked for.

Alldivines do have a request.

"One of our Cloisters have recently experienced a blaze, which consumed many lives, destroyed many buildings and devoured hundreds of priceless scrolls and scriptures. Can we count on the generosity of the Crown to help us bring the damaged Cloister back to its former glory?"

A) "No."
B) "Sure, you shall receive a donation."
C) "I will devote this year's taxes to refurbish and rebuild the Cloister you speak of!"

You attempt to intervene and find some way to have the cults cooperate.

Alas, you're not a charismatic man and had bad luck of angering one of high clerics of Pantheonism. Ultimately, the cults weren't able to find any agreement about what to do with potential threat from Cult of Damed, nor do they believe it is any threat to them in the first place.

The next day, the council resumes its proceedings. Your frustation with yesterday's failure was mulled slightly with wine and good sleep, but now it's time to decide on the next topic of the Council. That topic shall be...

A) Royal Audiences for Singularists, Alldivinists and Pantheonists.
B) Philosophical debate between Theists (Singularism, Pantheonism) and Ietsists (Alldivinism, Enyntheism).
C) Reconcilliation of Enyntheist Heresy with the Alldivine Faith.

Otherwise, you can declare that...

D) All important topics have been covered, and thus the Council has come to its end.

You declare next topic to be: Discussion about possible threat of Damedian zealotry of the Holy Damdamian Empire.

Unfortunately, this topic doesn't go as smoothly. United neither in beliefs nor philosophy, the various congregations bring the Council to flames! Conversational flames, of course.

Singularists are the loudest in this debate as they have, after all, roots from the old canon of this faith, way back in times of Luathbas. The debate at points devolves into a war between polytheism and monotheism, and even Enyntheists take few snips at the Pantheonists.

They seem unable to reach compromise or agreement on this...

A) Time for me to intervene!
B) I don't think I should meddle.

You declare that first topic will be: Political debate about merits of religious equality vs state religion in Methiant.

Quote
6*

The philosophers and clergy discuss the matter of state religion for Methiant. Various censuses are compared, political and religious thoughts exchanged. Neither faith is able to gain upper hand as to why they should be *the* faith of Methiant. Because people enjoy their religious freedoms and various cults are intertwined within the kingdom, thus suddenly declaring superiority of one faith above others will cause riots.

In the end, the wise heads of the religions in power is that Methiant shouldn't define a state religion for itself.

After a day of rest, the Council convenes again. After all representatives return from wild feasting meditation and contemplation, you declare that the next topic for discussion should be...

A) Philosophical debate between Theists (Singularism, Pantheonism) and Ietsists (Alldivinism, Enyntheism).
B) Royal Audiences for Singularists, Alldivinists and Pantheonists.
C) Reconcilliation of Enyntheist Heresy with the Alldivine Faith.
D) Discussion about possible threat of Damedian zealotry of the Holy Damdamian Empire.

Otherwise, you can declare that...

E) All important topics have been discussed and thus the Council has come to its end.

You decide to go on with more festivities.

1124 AD, Spring

Many representatives of the Pantheonist, Singularist and Alldivinist clergy have met at the Keep of Luathbas. The renovated and still regrowing city is easily visibly from the windows behind the seventy men of various faiths seated at the tables. Amongst them, are theologicians, lawmakers, loremasters, philosophers and high clerics of the faiths.

You are seated at a special table between all others. Singularists on the right, Alldivinists on the left, Pantheonists in the front, while Enyn the Heretic and his five colleagues are squished between the Pantheon and Singularist sections.

As the host and leader of the Council, you decide that first topic of the debate will be...

A) Philosophical debate between Theists (Singularism, Pantheonism) and Ietsists (Alldivinism, Enyntheism).
B) Reconcilliation of Enyntheist Heresy with the Alldivine Faith.
C) Discussion about possible threat of Damedian zealotry of the Holy Damdamian Empire.
D) Political debate about merits of religious equality vs state religion in Methiant.
E) Royal Audiences for Singularists, Alldivinists and Pantheonists.

You decide to grant them additional funding so that they can procure Fireblood ingredients on regular basis.

1123 AD, End of the Year

Whilst preparing a set of fancy robes for the upcoming council, you're interrupted by the Advisor who brings Scrolls of Kingdom Status for you.

Happiness: 4
Population: 8
Economy: 4
Army: 5

Your lower lip wobbles momentarily from emotions. It's been a *while*. The Advisor coughs to gain your attention.

"Shall I offer that we extend the festivities' period for another year, my liege?"

A) "Naw, they had their fun."
B) "Parties for everyone!!"

You promise Esta to send some supplies. She isn't exactly satisfied, but she looks less worried at least.

1123 AD, Winter

A letter from Elran III himself has arrived! In the message he thanks you for your supplies, and asks for prayers so that his renewed counter-offensive against Tirine Kingdom succeeds.

Few days later, the silver, gemstones and various metals arrive at the palace.

You obtain many profits from selling of the metals, as the local workshops and merchants were low on supply.

The next day brings the alchemists to you for an audience.

"My liege, the lack of funding to procure Fireblood ingredients is hurting our work. Can we ask you to provide us with greater annual funding?"

A) "Sure thing, I can be generous!"
B) "No, work with what you have!"

ABA had majority of votes there, which is not surprising, it's a good band ;v

You decide to host the council in the city of Luathbas, inviting the three major religions of Methiant - Pantheonism, Singularism and Alldivinism - along with the heretics of Enyntheism whose rapidly growing influence has caused some friction.

And you will take the issues into your hands personally. One can hope your mediocre charisma gets supplanted by your luck!

The date of council is set for Spring 1124 AD.

1123 AD, Autumn

Grave news come from the west! Your neighbour and father-in-law, Elran III, has been greviously wounded during a battle that was going to crush Tirine's war effort. According to rumors, his healers aren't optimistic about his chances.

Few days later, you stare at your wife who is pacing around your study, clearly worried.

"Can't we do anything about the war between my father and those scummy Tirines, my beloved? I'm worried for my father and I'm doubly worried for his kingdom." You scratch your cheek sheepishly, thinking of an answer...

A) "I could send some supplies and money to help your father's forces in the war."
B) "Well, I could send some soldiers, but I've gotta say I expect to be paid for their services."
C) "I love you deeply, and I respect your father, but that is a war between Eldricans and Tirines. I can't get involved."
D) "Fine, if it will please you, my dearest, I shall send some soldiers westwards so they can help your father in his campaign."

You decide to seize the opporunity and proclaim an ecumenical council!

As for the matter of attendees...

A) The big dogs - Pantheonism, Alldivines and Singularism - will be invited, along with the newest heresy of Enyntheism.
B) All cults are welcome; even miniscule sects like Dahnian Pantheonism and foreign cults like Cult of Damed.

As for the place of the council...

A) It will be at my palace, to show everyone who is the boss!
B) It will be at the city of Luathbas, the largest of cities in Methiant.

As for Crown representation...

A) I will work as a host and the leader of the council!
B) I shall attend personally, as a simple observer.
C) I shall send one of my courtiers to represent the Crown.
D) I will let the attendees work it out by themselves.

//No split votes pls.
