1086 AD, Midsummer

A less than month later, your Army enters the territories once belonging to Methiant.

For a week, you continue unopposed, except maybe few scout and skirmisher groups that are easily driven away or outright defeated by your horsemen. Local mayors and village elders, most of them still indigenous Methiantese, don't protest too much about the change in their taxmasters.

Finally, you reach the Lamas Keep; a small fortress which stands guard by the road leading toward Lametanian capital. It is perched on a hill and there are only two real routes of climb towards it. Your scouts and agents have estimated that about 400 men could comfortably garrison it, but they weren't able to discern whether the keep does in fact has a full garrison nowadays.

Your officers convene with you, and after a while one of them speaks up: "My liege, we have almost four thousand men and the Blackhearts at our disposal. What shall we do about the Lamas Keep?"

A) "Lay siege to it with some men, while the continues on to Lametanian capital!"
B) "Lay waste to it to give Lametanians the taste of Blackheart's fearsome power!"
C) "We shall take a longer route to evade the keep and march to the capital!"

The Soviet Juggernaut assaulted Romania, surely to get their oil fields! Almost half a million soldiers were put into the offensive, against mere 150.000 of Romanian defenders.

Dear listeners of BBC Radio, this is Richard Dawson, and you're listening to the Monthy Review programme.

On the night of 1st January, the Danish troops have crossed the Oresund strait and invaded Kingdom of Sweden. The rapid advance and sudden atack caught the Swedes off-guard, resulting in a spectacular victory of the Danish Forces.

Prosperous Poland has found itself attacked by the Czechoslovak armies, with a officla state of war declared against it by the German Reich as well. The Poles have mounted a successful resistance against the Czechoslovak offensive, albeit have not counterattacked.

Soon after Denmark took control of Sweden, the Finland have declared war against the Danes, and entered the Swedish territory from the north. The division of Sweden has ended with both Finnish and Danish armies opposite from each other, and while a probable peace agreement is mediated via diplomats from Soviet Union, neither of the scandinavian countries have officially agreed to a cease-fire, remaining in the state of war.

There has been incident in Norway, whereas British contingents of troops were shelled by the overzealous and paranoid Norwegians. 'A training accident gone wrong', says Prime Minister Churchill, has ended in many British casualties and thorough souring of relations with Norway and some protests in British cities.

Due to imperialist policies of French cabinet, the Isle of Crete has been subjected to amphibious attack from Syria by French marines. It has failed and the Kingdom of Greece denounced the French, calling for opposition against the Republic and even offered to support those that would oppose France. Meanwhile, Belgium has been less successful and fell to the advancing French corps, and the city of Brussels was taken after several hours of artillery shelling.

Kingdom of Romania have entered closer ties with Republic of Czechoslovakia, but the official state ceremony has been interrupted by sudden entry of a mesenger bearing news that Soviet tank columns are rolling through the Romanian border. Outnumbered over 3 to 1, the Romanians nonetheless mounted a heroic defense of their homeland, causing hundreds of thousands of Soviet casualties. Ultimately, the Soviets have managed to breakthrough the final line of defenses and seized control of Romanian capital, Sophia, on the evening of 30th January. Just few hours earlier, King Carol along with his court and advisors have been evacuated to Transylvania, where they swore to avenge the fallen soldiers and retake Sophia on the earliest possibility.

But the Danish airplanes were shot down, and the British marines died en masse on on the Norwegian beaches, the legendary Norwegian stubborness to surrender showing up once again.

The Danish fleet from Iceland, owing to its state of unpreparedness, couldn't deliver the third wave of soldiers for UK.

New academies were built in the British Near East and Northern Africa.

Troops were converged at Tarento, while the army engineers in Naples reported that the current airbase is doing just fine and there's no need to build another next to it.

Meanwhile, new academies were built in Libya to educate the Muslim natives.

You send the emissary back with a proof of your anger at this situation.

Few hours later, you meet with your courtiers.

"So what shape shall our anger take, King Yoe?"

A) "We will boil behind his back so that he shall live in constant fear!"
B) "We will raid into his territories to get the compensation for his deeds from his people!"
C) "We will move our Army to reclaim the near-mountain territories and wage war against the honorless Lametanians!"

You decide to raise taxes for this year and send a letter to dwarves, demanding payment of the use of your roads and other pathways through Methiant for their crafters, traders and such.

1086 AD, Spring

Some news from Lametania! Apparently, a traveling Imperial champion with an enchanted longbow have slain The Pillar of Quiet Disturbance!! He has been invited to the court of King Salus for the recognition of his deed.

1086 AD, Mid-Spring

"He did what!?" The messenger from Lametania sweats.

"My liege and master, King Salus, has decided to give the hand of his eldest and the only alive daughter, Ostia, to the hero that have slain The Pillar of Quiet Disturbance. That was the only reward the hero asked for, thus King Salus felt obliged." Your courtiers murmur aloud in disbelief and some in anger, even. Your son has been denied a Princess because of a commoner!

You decide to...

A) Demand a compensation for this grave diplomatic insult from King Salus, and to have the hero's marriage annuled so your son, Estant, can marry the Lametanian Princess.
B) Ignore this terrible insult to your name if only the hero's marriage gets annuled so that your son Estant can marry Ostia in few years.
C) Accept King Salus' decision about the marriage if only he delivers a monetary compensation for the potential political losses.
D) Inform King Salus that you're no longer on friendly terms.
