You decide to meet with the Hurthling first. The shory, big-toothed man bows comically and holds his hat.

"Griitings, noble hewmon Duke! We have heard that your piisants have problems with toiling of earf, so we would be delighted to help, but the Kashite hold us for ransom! Because we did a bad fifty years ago and still have to pay them with foodstuffs becuz we have no golds."

A) "Then I shall pay for your freedom! My Treasurer will set aside the coin while you should go and prepare your peoples to migrate to Tven!"
B) "Clearly the Kashite exploit your naivety and humbleness! I shall send a letter to their King to see that you're freed of your obligations."
C) "Oh, sorry then, but we can't help with that."

Empire Earth and Battle for Wesnoth

Prolly some tactical RPG game with mecha vs pikemen vs cavemen?

You send another envoy.

970 AD, Summer

There's the envoy back, leading a short guy in a bright yellow cloak! The guards report that there's also a messenger from Queen of Lametania, saying it's urgent matter.

A) Let's talk with the Hurthling that envoy hath brought!
B) Our son's future Kingdom gets priority!

9725
You send an envoy to the Hurthlings, asking for their guidance and help with the crops.

970 AD, Late Spring

The envoy returns empty-handed. He explains that few Hurthlings wanted to meet with him but none were important enough to get anyone moving.

A) Clearly, we should find some other solution... (if you pick this option, scroll up and pick A, B or C)
B) Clearly, there is a change of success - the envoy just gotta look about a little harder!

So diggers have cut through my internet cable

I literally just don't know when I might be back online properly.

You decide to get both draftees and mercenaries into your Army.

Plenty of them both fill its ranks!

970 AD, Spring

There is a report from the overseers of the settlement project; the last of the villages has been constructed in the east, and the project is now complete. Many refugees found new home in the houses built by your people.

970 AD, Mid-Spring

Terrible weather has flooded the farmlands!

The people bemoan the lost seeds because after the bad harvest last year, there has been little left they could plant; now the seeds were washed away and nascent crops rot after days in the standing water. At least several southern regions are affected by this, and they ask for help.

A) Clearly, we will have to procure them seeds and foodstuffs from abroad!
B) Clearly, something's affecting the weather in bad way. We should search for a mighty Wizard!
C) Clearly, there is nothing that can be done about this.
D) Clearly, we should seek Hurthlings to come help us with their skills, now that we have some access to their land.

9728
You decide to buy foodstuffs from abroads to feed your subjects.

Your envoys find few grain merchants who are willing to supply lots of wheat and barley to your people for some cheap coin. The peasants praise your name as the crisis is averted!

969 AD, Late Autumn

The promised loot for Eist campaign arrives at your palace! It is hastily added to the Treasury.

969 AD, Winter

The Duaz mines' manager reports that this year's revenues were sent to Luthians on schedule.

969 AD, Midwinter

The dwarves finished construction of 'Zonalath', their newest fortress that shall keep watch over the Rainbow Lizard mountains. They've claimed some of the rocklands and surrounding peaks as well, constructing several small outposts there. Few traders and travelers who visited their 'land' claim they saw little to none of mining activity.

969 AD, End of the Year

It's been a while since you could peruse Scrolls of Kingdom Status in your bed, huh?

Happiness: 4
Population: 6
Economy: 4
Army: 3

"The losses in the Army are obvious, my liege. What shall we do about it?"

A) "Nuthin!"
B) "Get me mercenaries!"
C) "Get me draftees!"
D) "Mercenaries and draftees is what we need!"

"Also, per your request, the royal scribes have managed to update the map of Duchy and the neighbouring lands, even with the recent changes added in."

9729
You graciously accept the rewards and praise th-

"King Eón also have noticed that his father had been lenient with you and did not collect the lawfully required tribute in years 963 and 968, owing, presumably, to your loyalty. Be advised that King Eón will not allow tribute to be forgotten, so plan your expenses accordingly." The envoy bows and leaves.

969 AD, Mid-Autumn

Within just a month you get hundreds of Kiwi refugees and shocking news from all over the west border. The Kiwi were invaded by the Atulak Khanate, and in a battle that saw 10.000 Kiwis square off against double that number of Khanate riders, the Kiwi King was slain with over 90% of his troops. Numerous smaller skirmishes saw the Kingdom shrink rapidly before Queen-Regent Tavula sent a mighty tribute to the Khan in exchange for Kiwi's limited autonomy.

Meanwhile, the Khan's son, Thang, took the other part of the Khanates on a war trip south and crushed the Damdamians in four battles, named 'The Four Shames of the Republic' by contemporary historians. The Khanate carved away a huge swath of Damdamian land, including the Chean Province.

Few days later, while the court is still livid with rumors and contemplation of the future, a report is sent to you; the harvests this year were small, owing to low temperatures in the summer and autumn, and people go about hungry! City governors and village elders alike plead for support from you - or rather, you coffers.

A) Fine! We will support the hungry ones this year.
B) Nay! We have other things to take care of!

9730
You continue to cause havoc in the southern Eist.

969 AD, Autumn

Splendid news! The Eist capital has been captured; the Pantheonist theocrats slain alongside their King as the rest of royal family was exiled into the harsh mountains by King Eón.

You conclude your campaign too when the southern cities send a delegation to you a week later, surrendering their settlements to you and King Eón of Dahnia.

Congratulations! Estwalf successfully completed yet another campaign!

969 AD, Mid-Autumn

"...and therefore, you will give up the villages that surrendered to the throne of Dahnia. In return, you will be granted the control of the city of Tagar, which is the southernmost and the largest of cities. Plus, you will be given a hefty amount of loot and war spoils that King Eón and his army captured in the north of the fallen kingdom." The Eón's envoy rolls up the royal parchment.

A) This is an outrage! IT'S REBEL TIME!!!
B) Ask the envoy to question King Eón on your behalf about greater territorial gains for the Duchy.
C) Well, that's fine, we accept the reward.

9731
You attempt to take the city by force. Small siege engines are prepared; few catapults, a pair of battering rams and even several dozens of scaling ladders.

Your soldiers manage to scale the walls and capture one of the gates in first few hours! But the city remains strong, and the garrison tries twice harder to push your men out.

Quote
6*

But once your men have an entry point into the city, they don't give it up; hours go as more and more Tven soldiers enter the city. The central keep is besieged and by the morning it's wooden structures are burning!

The fall of Tech is paid in heavy losses; almost a thousand of your soldiers die before the keep is captured and the last of the garrison killed or imprisoned. The victorious soldiers rampage across the city, taking lots of loot and women for themselves.

969 AD, Late Summer

It's been almost two weeks, and the city served well as a hub from which your raiders harassed the dwarven caravans and even managed to shatter a group of three hundred men from Tagar who seemingly tried to reach the Eist heartlands on foot. Silly oafs!

On twelfth day after the capture of Tech, a messenger arrives from Prince Atredh, bearing grave news: King Tinwulf II, "The Trollslayer", has been killed during the Eistians' daring attempt to break the siege of their capital (they failed).

The eldest of Tinwulf's sons, Prince Eón, is now King of Dahnia and your senior. Long live King Eón!

You do not receive new orders from King Eón, however, so you convene with your officers and decide to...

A) Leave part of the Army to garrison Tech and march southwards in hopes of capturing few more settlements.
B) Continue disrupting logistics of the southern Eistians with your raiders and armed patrols.
C) Leave part of the Army to garrison Tech and march northwards to help King Eón besiege Eisf, the capital of Eist Kingdom.

9732
You move your Army to besiege a smaller settlement that is still on the vital route to Zasitost and the Kashite.

A week later, you have the fortified city of Tech in your sights. It is smaller than Tagar and its walls are shorter.

A) Prepare siege engines and lets take the city by force!
B) Like I said, we will surround and besiege it.
C) How about we find something even less defended?

9733
And Corrosion, too. Mostly because no GM tracks enemy QL and its waste of skill on important (aka Boss) enemy units v;

Support stuff is split between front and end of the doc
Weapons in starting list have different stats to weapons in tables

Put all Support stuff to the bottom of the handbook, where them modifiers and ranks all discussed in full.
Nix starting list of weapons; simple weapon name reference is enough in its place, or get rid of it completely and people can look up starting weapons on trainee/first class entries.

9734
You march your army west into the borderlands of the Duchy, while a mesenger is sent for reinforcements.

969 AD, Late Summer

The messenger returns!

With no army; the population is riled up recently and the prospect of joining the Army was met with defiance which the court couldn't allow to blow up. Only few dozens of palace guards arrived with the messenger.

You hold a council during which you decide to...

A) Send most of Army to besiege Tagar.
B) Keep the Army resting and resupplying while you visit nearby cities in search for volunteers.
C) Besiege a nearby small settlement under control of Eist, as there are many settlements to choose from.
D) March northeast and attempt to join with your senior, in hopes of gaining some glory at the siege of Eist capital.

Aka the only popular sport that isn't some form or football.

So Cricket doesn't qualify as a sport?

As far as I know, it's an insect.
