You take most of your Army with you to fight the mercenary forces, leaving only couple hundred to maintain the siege.

Two days later, it is evident that the battle will be at the Valley of Porkflowers!

The mercenary Eist Army deploys in a line formation, with the Eist bannermen and dwarves somewhere in the middle. It seems that you're evenly matched at the moment.

A) Let's deploy in a line formation as well, then!
B) Let's return and resume the siege of Tagar, then!
C) Let's set a camp at an easily defended location, then!
D) Let's send cavalry to the flank and foot to the center, then!

You threaten to starve the city if it does not surrender.

"Then we would rather starve!" Negotiations broken, the envoy is escorted to the gates and the siege continues.


Messengers bring news from north and scouts bring report about the south.

In the north, King Tinwulf II has begun the siege of the capital city of Eist, Eisf, founded a mere century ago. Meanwhile, his two sons are leading two different armies to besiege two nearby fortresses.

The scouts report that a large army of Kashite and Dwarven mercenaries is coming! There are about three hundred heavily armored and armed dwarves; eight times that of Kashite swordsmen and light cavalry, if scouts did the counting right. Amidst mostly dwarven and eastern banners, the flag of Eist flutters wildly, carried by few local noblemen.

You host a council of war and during it decide to...

A) Split your Army in half and send one part to fight the incoming reinforcements.
B) Take most Army with you and personally strike against the incoming mercenaries.
C) Fortify your position and continue the siege in full force.

The envoy is brought in.

You decide to open the negotiations with the following offer:

A) City of Tagar surrenders unconditionally and is added to Duchy of Tven.
B) City of Tagar surrenders, is added to Duchy of Tven, and has to pay tribute to Kings of Dahnia for next five years.
C) City of Tagar regains independence, but has to pay tribute to the Duchy for next five years.
D) City of Tagar regains independence, but has to pay tribute to Tven and Dahnian rulers for the next decade.
E) City of Tagar regains independence if it provides troops and supplies for the war against their former overloards, Kingdom of Eist.

You order horsemen to look for dwarves while the rest of Army marches south to besiege the city in the very south of Eist - Tagar.


Horsemen caught two dwarf caravans and have destroyed or looted most of its contents, sending the dwarves running southwards.

A messenger arrives from the capital and you're given a copy of this year's Scrolls of Kingdom Status.

You receive news that King Tinwulf II won a battle against five thousand Eist footsoldiers but has been wounded and set up a camp on the western border.


Tagar still resists.

Another caravan from Zasitost was captured and looted; albeit this one was guarded by eighty steel-clad dwarves, so your horsemen lost few dozen men to their axes and swords.


King Tinwulf II won two skirmishes in past month and his army is moving toward Eist capital by now.

The morning after the first summer thunderstorm, your forward sentries report that a man wearing a white scarf left the city of Tagar and asks to be brought to you for negotiations.

A) Splendid! Bring him in so we can discuss Tagarian surrender!
B) Send him away and let's starve the city a few months more.
