You decide to lead the Army by yourself. For Dahnia and Tven!!

Congratulations! Estwalf embarks on yet another military campaign!

It takes a while to deploy.

968 AD, Late Winter

You finally cross into Eist border. The few settlements lie in front of you, on the south-north line, because King Tinwulf II has taken upon itself to drive into Eist corelands.

A messenger arrives; it's Prince Echt, eldest of Tinwulf's sons. He brought with him instructions for you.

"My father and our liege, King Tinwulf II, wishes for Tven army to capture the southern Eist settlements and to stop dwarven caravans from going north, as we've learned that Eist are procuring weapons and mercenaries from southeast via Zasitost merchants."

You hold a council with your officers to discuss the plan...

A) Let's split up and besiege all the cities at once!
B) Let's start with siege of southernmost city, while rest of the army looks out for dwarves!
C) Let's go hunt down some dwarves, while some of the Army remains here to make a fortified camp!

9753
Also vibrating Descanavatarfad was also a thing.

9754
Sigflags was also a fad! I started it and I don't remember when.

EDIT: Apparently 5 years ago, nvm then.

EDITEDIT: Wait I've been on these forums for 8 YEARS!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH

9755
You stand firm with your offer. The envoy sighs.

"Praised be the generosity of Duke Estwalf." He says unenthusiastically and leaves with the money next morning.

968 AD, Winter

Revenues from the gold mines arrive on schedule, adding wealth to your Treasury.

968 AD, Midwinter

Your senior, King Tinwulf II, calls you to arms!

The sneaky Eist tried to assasinate him during a autumn harvest festival he partook in personally, and subsequent investigation managed to uncover it as Eist plot.

In the letter, King Tinwulf II says this time there will be no mercy for Eist, as it has been a thorn in Dahnian side for far too long. You decide to...

A) Send a small part of Army to assist King Tinwulf.
B) Personally lead a large part of Army into Eist!
C) Send a letter of apologies and some war supplies instead.

9756
So did I miss anything while I was gone?

FEF still there :P

9757
You tell the envoy you can only offer a small amount of money.

Quote
4*

"I could agree, but if you were to double the amount of money?"

A) "Alright, I will be generous today."
B) "No, take what I offer or go away."
C) "Pffft, avast with ye, greedy Kiwi!"

9758
"That deal won't do, but we can negotiate:"

A) "We can only give a small amount of money, and you will repay us in two years."*
B) "The interest rate is too low to cover our expenses, so if you could stretch that..."*
C) "Because we can't offer that much money at once, lets downsize the loan a bit."*

9759
You sell the area around and at the collapsed tunnel to the dwarves for bilennial tax. Future rumors would have it that Treasurer was overjoyed, for once.

Back to the present though, the Kiwi emissary arrives.

"Grand Duke Estwalf of Tven, King Avar sends his greetings and hopes that Kiwi and Tven can strike a deal. The Kingdom is in need of money, and therefore I'm here to request a loan." Courtiers chuckle and snicker; no self-respecting kingdom would borrow money; tributes and pillagery and taxation is the way of monarchs. That has ruined few promising kingdoms in the past (like Luathbas), but it's the only true way!

"We ask for a large amount of money to cover our expenses* and offer to repay it with interest over span of five years.*."

A) Attempt to negotiate the loan.
B) Refuse to support the Kiwi monarchy.
C) Accept the loan deal as it is.

9760
You meet with the dwarf first.

"Greetings, human Duke." He bows his bearded head. "We hear you have trouble with the lizards again, which troubled us of Ankurvat greatly, as they should not be able to pierce the magics of our earthsmiths. We have pondered for last few months about this, and we offer to station our soldiers and earthsmiths in a fortress in the mountains that we shall build and maintain."

"The mountains belong to the Duchy, dwarf." The advisor quips.

"We know that, and we offer to pay a tax, every two years." You decide to...

A) Negotiate a better deal.
B) Accept the proposal outright.
C) Reject the idea.

9761
Laura quickly goes to sell her Iron Lance and Iron Axe for pennies.

Then she raids Kyle's backpack for Francisca.

9762
You order a draft and selling of stockpiled copper.

968 AD, Spring

Your youngest son, Eistan, have caught the dreaded swamp fever that kills so many children in their infancy!

Quote

Alas, he succumbs to it.

968 AD, Mid-Spring

News come from the west; the two Khanates are now united under one man, after the chieftain of Nagan married the daughter of Chavak chieftain.

968 AD, Late Spring

Observers of the covered lizard pit report no unusual activity about it.

968 AD, Summer

Gate guards report that two people want to meet with you; one is diplomat from King Avar of Kiwi, and the other is a dwarven envoy from Ankurvat. You decide to first meet with...

A) The dwarf.
B) The westerner.

9763
That game's really old though I think?
Over three years since the OOC op, yeah.

It's like a glacier.

Ancient and barely moving '<.

9764
A puzzle game from around 2000. You were making origami figures out of various triangle and trapezoid-shaped pieces.

The game played various Chinese folk tunes and was quite hard on higher levels because there was a timer and pieces were often very similar to each other. I remember the pieces being gold and the background having wood-ish feel to it.

EDIT: And no, it's nothing like Let's Fold or other such games released on mobiles and such.

EDITEDIT: Turns out if you Google hard enough, the answer will show up eventually. It's computer version of Tangram puzzle game, huh!

9765
You decide to send some money and a letter of thanks sometime next year.

You return to the capital in a week, just in time to learn that the gold from Duaz mines safely reached the hands of Luthian councilmembers.

967 AD, End of the Year

"I bring the summaries, my liege." The Advisor puts the Scrolls of Kingdom Status upon your desk.

Happiness: 4
Population: 5
Economy: 3
Army: 3

"As you can see, the losses of the Army during the fighting against the lizards amounted to a decrease of our Army rating. Do you wish to do something about it?"

A) "Draft some peasants into the Army!"
B) "Get me some mercenaries from abroad!"
C) "Nah, we fine for now."

"Also, our Economy will be hurting a little because you have scheduled a tribute to be sent to King Tinwulf II. Mayhaps we ought to consider this as well?"

A) "Well, alright, no tribute."
B) "Well, keep taxes raised for another year!"
C) "Naaaw."
D) "Sell the copper stockpiled thus far."

//No split votes pls.
