You let the dwarf in.

"Greetings, Duke of Tven. Would you be interested in posession of a magical artifact?"

"We have recently recovered the Necklace of Persuasion that was once crafted for Kings of Luathbas, and one of their descendants, Ceodwell of Ceodwell, have turned down our offer of selling it. Therefore I was sent to ascertain whether you, also a descendant of Houlandines, would be interested in receiving this ancient item of magnificent power."

A) Politely turn down the offer as artifacts are pricey and you don't have much to offer.
B) Demand that dwarves of Zasitost give back 'your' heirloom, or else!
C) Definitely it is something we want, let's negotiate the price with the dwarf.

9847
You reject the proposal and the representative leaves.

Who's next tho?

A) The dwarf.
B) The Kashite.
C) The Ceodwellian

You attempt to negotiate some better terms for Fireblood.

A) Attempt to negotiate this as well.
B) Accept the trade.
C) Reject the trade.

Personal Fault is a no. The trigger is fine, but the drawback is forever negated if you stick to polearms and other range-1 weapons.

Genealogy of the Holy War.
I have heard interesting things about that one.

Incest, child sacrifice and violent murder everywhere.

You start with the Calvendocian merchant representative.

"Greetings! I bring an offer from the Council of Calvendocia." He bows with respect. "The Council has found out that your people haven't discovered the marvels of Fireblood yet. The Council offers to divulge the secrets on its manufacture, storage and handling for a certain price."

"Burning grease?" Your Advisor speaks up as your courtiers murmur.

"A thick, greasy, reddish-black substance that can be made solid with help of certain powdered mixture. With proper care and handling, a length of rope can be attached, lit and the grease-ball tossed at one's enemies, setting their camp aflame. The substance is hard to extinguish and easily wreaks havoc upon the foes."

"The Council wishes to receive, as a price, a total tax exemption on the current trade deal we have for the next ten years." The Advisor leans towards you.

"If we do that, we will hardly profit from the luxuries, and to be honest I'm afraid we might lose a bit of coin on it, too." You decide to...

A) Negotiate the price or offer something else for the secrets of this marvelous 'Fireblood'.
B) Bluntly reject this attempt at daylight robbery.
C) Accept, if only to get your hands on a easily manufactured fiery weapon of destruction.

You order the Marshal to go north and help King Tinwulf.

963 AD, Mid-Spring

News come from the war front; together with the Marshal, King Tinwulf II have won a battle against the Eist, and begun negotiations once again.

963 AD, Late Spring

It is time for envoys again.

Not one.

Not two.

But four diplomats wish to meet with you on the very same day!

There is one representative of the Dwarves of Zasitost, one is from the Merchants of Calvendocia, the third is from the distant Kashite Kingdom and there's also one from Kingdom of Ceodwell, your homeland.

The dwarf wishes to speak about an 'artifact' or something of the kind. The representative from Calvendocia is here to speak about the trade deal with your Duchy. The diplomats of the Kashite and Ceodwell refuse to give details, but say they come directly from their respective masters.

You tell the guards to bring in...

A) The dwarf from Zasitost.
B) The Calvendocian representative.
C) The envoy from Kashite.
D) The diplomat from Ceodwell.
