Suzanne had a good spot to closely watch the sharpshooter draw the string of the bow and load the arrow against the frame - a frame with distinct patterns and craftmanship of the Han.

Meanwhile...

"Ha ha! Once the investigators are dead, we can move onto the next phase of our plan!"

"Tch. The haste speaks through your voice, Bonefaz. Do not understimate our enemies, lest they tear down your castle and maul your body."

"You imply my men are not up to the task!?" The man in beret let out a sigh.

"No. Yet even their numbers should be complimented by a powerful combatant, and I happen to know you possess one."

"Hrrmmm... you are right, as always!" A ball of light formed in Bonefaz's palm and soon it coalesced into a head of a helmeted man. "Release the Kracken! Let's see how the perfumed Reich agents deal with a wall of meat and muscle!"

Then Bonefaz had a hearty villainous laugh - his companion, on the other hand, stood silent.

You send the horsemen against one flank and your main Army against the other!

Quote
9!*

You utterly crush the Eist force! The Kashite skirmishers and archers launch several volleys of arrows nad javelins at you but then they get shredded into fine meat paste.

Your soldiers don't need much prompting to follow the ranks of Eist, which soon break apart and their officers, soldiers and mercenaries flee! One of your commanders rides up to you, and you decide to order a...

A) Resumption of the siege of Eachos.
B) Pursuit and slaughter of the fleeing Eist forces and their Kashite mercenaries.

9874
You order the siege to be lifted and the Army marches to meet with the advancing Eist units.

By the morning next day, your Army is in the open field, and scouts report that the Eist is aadvancing upon you, stretching its ranks into a long line rather than keeping them in one 'block'.

A) Then we will do the same and crush their thin linen thread with our thick knotted rope!
B) Let's send our footsoldiers against one flank while cavalry attacks the other.
C) What fools they are. We will smash right through the center with all our numbers and then annihilate the flanks!
D) Let's fortify our position and see just how a two thousand enemies will attack an almost five thousand strong camping army!

9875
Laura finally snapped out of it enough to make an expression.

"Th-they took Tomik!?"

It was an expression of true depression and horrific despair.

9876
Laura just stared at the empty spot.

9877
You continue with the siege.

Less than a week later you receive news that the negotiations collapsed and King Tinwulf is fighting the Eist in the northwest of their little kingdom.

962 AD, Mid-Autumn

You don't receive any news from the north; you do get some from the south.

An army of Eist zealots, backed by Kashite mercenaries (about two thousand men total, almost entirely foot) is marching from southeast to attacking your sieging Army! During the council with your officers, many options are debated, until you decide to...

A) Raise the siege and go smash the advancing army.
B) Fortify the camps and await the arrival of the enemy.
C) Leave about half your men to continue the siege and send the rest to engage the incoming army.
D) Mount a quick attack to capture the city before the reinforcements arrive.

Who will be the new chairmang? v; v; v;

You set up camp around the next city over the yonder, which is Eachos.

962 AD, Autumn

After almost two months, the city is still resisting and is doing quite fine.

On the evening of the first day of Autumn, you receive an envoy from King Tinwulf II. He has successfully defeated Eist in battle twice and even took control of few villages, forcing King of Eist to the negotiations table.

A) And that's fine, let's continue the siege.
B) This means we will soon lose the opportunity! Mount an attack against the city of Eachos!

9880
Nah, traits you are being born with, titles is what you earn for exceptional rolls :P

At least that's how it works in my games, dunno about Nuke's.

You demand that the city gets rid of the Eist garrison and starts paying tribute to the Duchy.

Quote

The envoy agrees after a moment of thought.

Next evening, it is over; the riots within the city were given a direction and the hundred fifty or so of Eist soldiers were killed by the angry mob of citizens, with only fifty or so fleeing or pledging loyalty to the city councilmen.

Speaking of councilmen, they arrive before you and bow and praise your name, both for taking them from the hands of Eist occupiers and for being so lenient to them.

You leave a small part of the Army to garrison the city's keep and then convene with your officers...

A) March to the next city, rinse and repeat!
B) Let's hole up in this city because the Eist will surely try to retake it.
C) Time to show off our superiority by tromping about the countryside!
