You decide to continue with the siege.

958 AD, Past Midsummer, 100th day of the siege

As you watch the fortified city one morning, wondering if they will ever surrender, you start to hear screams coming from your camp!

The earth has turned into mud and is sinking your supplies, your horses, and your men!

Then the ground gives under you and becomes liquid as well!

Fortunately you react fast enough to jump out and find some harder place.

That's when you hear sizzling and the screams of your people become shrieks akin to those of tormented animals! The muddy earth has begun to boil! Steam rises as your soldiers are literally baked alive in the muddy trap. Many of the onlookers break and flee, not wanting to join their brethren or not even caring to help you get away.

Fortunately, you find enough large stones to step on to escape from the camp which soon sinks into the mud.

Just as you join with some soldiers from another siegeing camp, who were alerted by the screams, you hear a terrific noise of some loud trumpets coming from the city of Ankurvat!

A) Gather your forces and prepare to defend ourselves!
B) Gather your forces and push forward in a surprising counter-offensive!!
C) RUN AWAAAAY!!!

Eh, I'm in enough of these. I'll pass on this one. Have fun you guys.

Too much is too much, eh? :P

I will also just lurk for this one instead of playing it.

You declare that a siege be started.

958 AD, Summer

Two months later and the siege continues.

A messenger brings news from the court;  your senior, Tinwulf II, has learned of your offensive against Ankurvat, and was heard saying that it is something he does not approve of.

Your officers gather for a meeting with you...

A) Continue with the siege!
B) Prepare an assault!
C) Better scram back home!

9964
You decide to go into the battle without getting Dahnia involved.

Congratulations! Grand Duke Merachd embarks on his first military campaign!

During his absence, the court matters will be ran by his queen, Tasarina, and the loyal Advisor, to the best of their abilities.

958 AD, Mid-Spring

By the Mid-Spring, your Army is marching southwest. The few fortified city-states, all on their own, close their gates and dare not try to stop you just in case you decide to punish them or something.

After a week, you approach the lands surroudning Ankurvat. The few small human farming villages quickly empty as the loyal peasants run away to warn their dwarven contractors-slash-leaders of advancing army.

The mighty city-fortress of Ankurvat comes into the view; walls of shiny bronze-like stone reach up to forty feet, and the towers of the hexagonal design have large oval shaped dragon heads on top, all menacingly turned toward your Army.

Your scouts spot numerous dwarven and human soldiers stationed on the walls. Your commanders convene with you about how to proceed...

A) Time to construct some rolling towers and battering rams and prepare for all-out attack!
B) Surround the city with camps and starve the dwarves and their human subjects into submission!
C) Send a parley to the dwarves, offering them peace and cessation of hostilities in return for hefty tribute.
D) We will tun around and run away tactically retreat from the vicinity of this fortified monstrosity of a settlement.

9965
You tell the Marshal to proceed with the plan and even given an assurance to lead the troops yourself!

"Shall we ask King Tinwulf to provide military help?"

A) "Nay."
B) "Aye."

9966
Q.14, also pilum the arrow if its still alive somhow.

9967
You politely decline the offer and the diplomat leaves without further prompt.

The same evening, the Marshal arrives at your bedchamber.

"MY LIEGE!" He booms. "While I do not object to the war against the dwarves, their fortress of Ankurvat has the fearsome Dragonfire towers and the dwarves parade with full steel armor and magickal axes that carve metal and flesh alike with ease! Are you sure we're to launch an invasion against them?"

A) "Naw I was just screwing with the elves."
B) "VERILYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!"
C) "VERILYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! And I will even lead the Army myself to provide morale!"

9968
You accept the deal with the elves, and inform the Marshal to prepare troops against the dwarves.

Moments later, the diplomat from the Kiwis arrives in the throne room.

"Greetings, Duke of Tven. Albeit our nations are not at best terms since you refused to turn over Lady Tasarina, King Amabarn II still wishes to have Tven as amicable neighbour. He therefore proposes a joint crusade against the Nagan Khanate, which have begun to raid into the western borderlands of the Kiwi since last winter. My master offers three mighty heaps of wealth for your troubles."

A) "That's not enough. Can you make that five heaps?"
B) "Sure, fighting side-by-side mends all troubles between two men!"
C) "Apologies, we're not interested in such an endeavour."

9970
Creature comforts are important for wellbeing of any society.

A

9971
You ask him what the elves offer.

"We offer a hundred of our greenflame stones which can be tossed at enemies to set them ablaze. We also offer two hundred moonthread cloaks that will make your people unseen between trees during the night." You wait for him to continue but apparently that's all.

A) Demand more.
B) Accept the deal.
C) Reject the deal.

9972
PTW, you crazy diamond :v

Wait. I thought Luathbas was east of the Kiwis.

Sixty years is a lot and things happen in this medieval fantasy world. An extra lot of things happens when a big local power goes poof ;v

I mean even Lametania is back, sort of.

9974
@itisnotlogical and Shook:

Go watch Kung Fury if you haven't already. It's on Youtube ;v

You might both like it, for different reasons.

9975
You agree to see the elf first.

The pointy-eared, pale human enters your throne room almost noiselessly, wearing a dark green cloak that covers all but his pointy, wooden shoes. He bows with his arms wide.

"Tembar! Greetings to human Duke of Tven, may the sun and moon smile upon you wherever you go. I am Anataife of Tisilenteliya, and I bring an offer from my mother and one of the wives of our wise king! He offers to share the magical items of our make with you if you promise to become an enemy of the Dwarves, who profit and grow stronger each day thanks to a gem and metal trade with some distant kingdom we only know the name of - Gubta. The Dwarven fortified city of Ankurvat, east of the Kiwis, is a large trade hub of theirs and would cause them much grief and loss if it were to fall." After a moment of thinking, you decide to...

A) Ask what kind of items his people are offering, and they better be some good ones too.
B) Reject a ridiculous idea to get involved in a racial war between two peoples who don't even live amongst your subjects.
C) Reject his offer, and sometime later have a messenger sent to Ankurvat, informing the Dwarves that Elves are plotting to strike the city with someone's help.
