Forum Games and Roleplaying / Re: "Arkham Horror" - Turn 1 - MOVEMENT phase - Jack_Bread's turn
« on: January 23, 2011, 02:21:00 pm »Yeah, Mandy Thompson (Jack_Bread) has Research; giving anyone the ability to re-roll skill checks. So... in my case, if I had failed anything, Jack_Bread has the option of using it then or saving for later. And based on the text, it's once per Movement phase, once per Encounter phase, etc? Or once per COMPLETE round/turn? Sometimes these aren't worded very well...It says "once per turn", so it's only once per turn, sorry. And better warn me in advance if you want to use stuff like that (to avoid backtracking).
I'm trying to clarify that. Finally found it on the wiki:

A turn in Arkham Horror is divided into five phases.
If you notice stuff like this, feel free to nitpick. It's my first forum game, so if you spot any mistakes I will gladly fix them at once.
P.S. Also notice that you have a motorcycle, so it gives you 7 movement points. You can easily collect two clues and go into the shop (for example).
How? It says in the rules that you have to end your movement somewhere to pick up clues, so unless he drives all the way to the woods, he can't get two clues, let alone visit the shop afterwards.
Yay nitpicking!
Yeah, found that on the wiki as well:
Quote
To collect clue tokens, an investigator must end their movement on a location or street area that contains one or more tokens. Simply passing through a location that has a clue token is not sufficient to collect it. To collect clue tokens on a location that contains a monster, the investigator must first either evade or fight the monster(s) to collect the token(s).
That just made it even harder for us though...
. And better warn me in advance if you want to use stuff like that (to avoid backtracking).
