Entirely public. The annoying thing is that now I have a halfway-decent macbook but I can't update it because the school's tech-team messed it up with all their own stuff. It literally will not update unless I'm using the school's internet connection, and for an entire year I couldn't even use that connection because they kept changing the passwords.

The kids with the iPads don't really use them for work. The only time I saw them using them was when they were playing games/messing about.

The school I went to started a program that would give (read: force to buy) an iPad to all the year sevens (first year of high-school) as an 'essential learning tool'. They had something a little better a while ago where they sold Dell laptops to the year 9s, and then they swapped to MacBooks (which is what I got). At least a laptop can do ... computer-y things.

Finally found a pen+paper RPG group to play with, and I'm overwhelmed by the success of my forum adventure. It's a lot of fun to do.

We could possibly start trying to make bricks. If we get mining, we might even be able to carve solid-stone bricks and use the cement as mortar.
