Okay, I don't exactly want to start some sort of OS fanboy war, but assuming that you won't get viruses or you'll be nigh-immune to them simply because you don't have Windows is pretty silly.

I've got a laptop that runs Mac OSX and a PC that runs Windows XP. I think I've actually ended up with more viruses on my laptop than on my PC (thanks in part to the fact that there aren't any good, free virus-scanners and such that I know about for Mac OSX). All sides have their merits. Windows is a nice mid-point between 'total computer noob accessibility' and 'l33t hacker ability', Mac is comfy and easy to wear and I suppose Linux is nice for those who know how to code stuff (my friend had linux on his laptop and we found it hilariously easy to turn it off when he wasn't looking, thanks to lack of 'are you sure you want to quit?' dialog box XD)

Are you guys sure about the alcohol thing? Last time I played the elves they still sought out and complained about the lack of alcohol.

I think that's just a hardcoded problem with the fact that drinking water gives bad thoughts.

Why don't you just google it?

I'm hugely bias but my suggestion is to whip Windows off of the thing and install Linux.  Most viruses explicitly target Windows and as such, OSX and any form of Linux are just plain immune to them.  Not that you don't have to think about security with these OS's, but it's a step (or fifty) up from Windows.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Are you serious?

What kind of characters do you even rp on pesterchum? Like, Homestuck-universe humans?

Pretty much. You don't HAVE to RP, most people use it like the chat client it is, but plenty of people use it for their RP characters and stuff. It's fun, even if you have no idea about all the secret intricacies of Homestuck. I mean, it's not like every character knows everything, or even most things.

I've always been a role-player. Hundreds of different characters, settings, etc. I think it's become second nature. I sorta just started doing it on Pesterchum before I realised. o_o

Hey, does anyone here use the fanmade PesterChum client? It's really quite cool, rather versatile. It's got some pretty good features as well, like automated typing quirks that you can program in (easy enough for a noob like me to figure them out, but they can get complex with regular expressions if you wish).

The thread is here if you don't have it and want it. If you do have it, add my chumhandle of doomedHermit. It's a roleplaying thing (so you won't be talking to 'me', but a persona), so feel free to have fun.

I obtained two pairs of headphones. My dad explained to me that he couldn't decide on one, so he got both. I'll never understand the man.
I obtained a pair of hand-made leatherbound journals. So far, they've still got that glamour of being too special to write/draw in them.
I obtained a new messenger bag. Damn I love messenger bags. My old one was falling apart, so this is a godsend.

Doomshifter has been ecstatic lately. She acquired a number of prized artifacts lately. She spent time with family lately. She spoke with her distant sister lately. She was disturbed by a smelly relative lately.

It should probably have been a single sock, just saying.

Doomshifter, Noble, mandates the construction of dwarf-print cotton socks.

There you go.

The trouble with forts is that they're underground. It's not really easy to draw one room inside a typical fort, let alone an entire fort.

Oh gods.
I just realised.
From the outside, a majority of fortresses simply look like holes in the ground, surrounded by blood, corpses and vomit.

Absolutely beautiful, my friend. I must say, I laughed at "And he pulled - 'Stack Error: Out of Memory Space'"!

I arrived at a dwarven fort (back in the day they existed) to find two unnamed trader animals, a donkey and a horse, decked out in full clothing.
