DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: How to find a bronze collossus?

i blame the sever on break tag.
it basically screws them over when ever they get a broken limb.
It's rather ridiculous that you can punch a collosi's arm off. You think that it might dent (light grey), bend, (brown), begin to fall apart (yellow), become utterly mangled (red) and then ultimately fall to huge shreds of bronze (dark grey).

Oh, you have to have big, circular guard towers at the corner! With the top covered in un-roofed fortifications for patrolling marksdwarves to rain bloody death down upon!

Also, if you're daring/bored enough, you could try placing hovels around the outside of the castle when it's getting closer to completion. You could even play as the peasants who live outside the brilliant looking castle! It would make sieges tons more Fun :3

I second the motion of a longhouse. Perhaps a deep pit in the centre that is dual-purposed as a well and sacrificial drop, a la 300? Hehe, "THIS. IS. MIGHTYGRIIIIIPS!" *hammer'd*

The fatalistic anthromorph opts to touch you in the upper right arm!
It is mangled!

Qloos, you didn't tell us you were deathly afraid of clocks!

If that made any sense at all out of context, I would sig the hell out of it.

Qloos cancels Check Time: Interrupted by Clock

Qloos has been struck down.

This is what I got when I re-genned without cull unimportant. So, I guess there must be!

DF Gameplay Questions / Legends Mode: ...killed by an unknown creature...?

In 123, Thele was shot and killed by an unknown creature in Bridgeglistened.

Quote
A: 21 elves, 141 unknown creatures, 6 losses.
D: 14 humans, 3 unknown creatures, one loss.

Defender was victorious.

Unknown creatures? What are they? Is this what happens when you have 'cull unimportant figures'? Because, I think killing someone is fairly important.

You could do the same, but have a long, thin ring around your desired area with floors (2xhowever long) and then designate the whole thing as a pond. Wait till it's all muddied, and then build a rough dirt road on it instead. If that doesn't work, stick with the farms.

Ooh Kandoooor~~ ;D

Hehe, I read that bit and laughed like mad! Come to think of it, almost every community or succession fort I join, my character ends up falling in love with someone important.

Or you could just build a fortress in fort mode and abandon it and claim it as your own and rule the kingdom of one.

" I have a mandate... I want 3 bucklers... WHAT how come no one is building my bucklers! Guard! off with someones head...! Who am I talking to?"

You could invite people from nearby towns in for dinner!
You kill them after of course, that's kind of the point.

There's a druidism skill?

Obviously it teaches you to... uhhh... be a druid?
Strangely enough, yes. I made a dagger with the [MAGIC_NATURE] skill, and made an adventurer who was an EXPERT DRUID. Unfortunately, I couldn't find this dagger for the life of me.

Check your legends list. Open the bronze collosus' page, and then look for the last time it says: "Bronze Collosus settled in (cave)"

Go find out where that cave is, and hey presto!

I don't remember seeing the entrance/exit. Your exit would be on the deep roads (which are actually in Dwarf Fortress, just finding them is hard).

Yea, The entrance is through a large gate into a hall full of statues. And I know that the deep roads exist, I have just never found any. It would be so awesome if I could actually build on one of them.
I built inside a goblin deep road once. You've got to set the init setting to ALWAYS, and then you can see them all over the place, between Dark Fortresses and Dwarven fortresses.

I've never played Dragon Age and I don't really have any idea what it is. I looked up some pictures on Google, and DAMN. That's a dwarven fortress if I ever did see one!

I found this map of the commons, and a couple of pictures.

I can't possibly imagine why this would be happening. Try removing your adventurer's clothes, see if that makes a difference? Perhaps need to drop some stuff? I'm honestly not seeing anything wrong with this picture.
