“We must get out of here Shark!”
“I know, I know. I have a plan, but we must wait” he said in a faint whisper.
A guard strolled by whistling and tapping her battle axe on the bars of the jail.
Shark continued explaining when the guard was out of ear-shot. “We must think! We can’t just escape without the needed supplies. We already have a pick from the quarry yard, but we need at least an axe and food.”
“Where are we going to get all of that?!” his cellmate exclaimed slamming his head against the bars with a loud bang
“Calm down you idiot, your temper is what got you in here.”
The whispers between the cellmates continued throughout the night, as they hatched their plans for escape.

“Now! Now!” screamed Shark pointing the axe forward.
At a full sprint the seven dwarfs sprinted towards the wagon.
Shark’s plan was perfect, every third day the laundry wagon for the jail came to claim the soiled garbs of the inmates and guards. Conveniently the axe he needed so desperately was within the guard tower that the wagon passed by. Shark and his teammates all pleaded, bribed, and worked their way into laundry duty so they could have this very opportunity!
A bolt whizzed by Sharks head, and instinctively he ducked. More guards were pouring out of the tower. If they didn’t get into the wagon they were as sure as dead. Too bad the driver was laying on the ground with his head split open and the beasts hauling the thing were on a hell-bound race out of there. With a final leap Shark landed within the wagon cart and laid back inside laughing. The guards stopped their pursuit on the seven escaped lunatics. All that remained of the event was dust filled air and Shark’s laughter they could still hear quarter of a mile away.
Notes:
Hello! Thanks for checking out my community story. I've never done one before. Few things I want to do.
1) Is as you can see the small ASCII art before any narration. (Inspired of course by the great ThreeToe.) If you're going to write a side-story based on your character try to place some art prior.
2) Unfortunately all the inmates just had fighting skills, so the starting 7 already have hand-to-hand skills, but of course that won't build a fortress, so make sure you pick your profession.
3) It's a haunted, few trees, fairly flat land - so pick your professions well so the fort can survive!
4) Of course they hate the Mountainhome for putting them in jail, so any supected supports of Mountainhome will of course find their way into Armok's halls.
Will continue the story once the 6 others have support name/profession/title.
