I am getting on the server. If anyone is up for versus, we need at least 4 people, preferably 6 people. I'll keep it at co-op unless we get that many.

If you are VERY careful, you can take off with any plane without using the afterburner or backing down the runway. You only have about a 1 second window to pull up though, otherwise you hit the water and have to afterburner out and reland because you have almost no fuel.

So, uhh... Alvor the Blacksmith from Riverwood died. If I try to resurrect him, would that slowly glitch up my game?
I would love a mod that puts general fear into any NPC that isn't a Combat NPC such as a Guard or such. Having 10 villagers run at a dragon only to be killed because they were wearing rags and wielding maybe a dagger if they were lucky isn't very fun...
But they're nords.
Thought process of a normal person meeting a dragon:
"OH SHIT RUN AWAY!"

Thought process of a Nord meeting a dragon:
"Maybe I'm the Dragonborn, and I just don't know it yet!"

Fix'd

Currently on the server. If we manage to get 6 or more players at a time, I'll put it on versus and we can have versus battles. :D

Good news is that my ram was sitting at the store, so I picked it up instead of waiting for it to be delivered tomorrow. Server will be up soon.

The server has been down due to my computer's ram deciding it was ALL going to crap out on me. Should be up in the next few days after my new ram gets here.

From the main website:
Quote
A New Zero is a multiplayer vehicle simulation inspired by Red Baron, Tie Fighter, Mechwarrior 2, Joust, and some other stuff. It is currently in open beta.

In A New Zero players control one of many boats and planes. You launch these vehicles from islands you control. The goal is simple, make your enemy lose control over its island(s). In order to reach this goal, you need to trade, build, research, and destroy. It has a simple day/night cycle, and night is pitch black dark, you cannot fly or attack, and it gives you time to regroup. Anyone trying to respawn at night must wait until dawn. Graphics are preternaturally generated, and the whole game is actually under 1Mb in size.

I currently have a server set up on dedicated mode, and it will be 24/7 as long as no unfortunate accidents occur. The playerbase is extremely small currently, partially due to the fact that the creator hasn't update the game in a long time. The next update will have tanks and ground based combat as well as aerial and naval combat. It's an extremely fun game.

-Urban Terror: I remember playing it a bit back in the early non-standalone days. A bit like CS in that it's team based, not sure if there's respawns or you stay dead until a "round" ends or something. Advantages vs Counter Strike? Not sure if Q3 engine is heavier or lighter than HL though (which was based on a heavily modified Q1 engine IIRC), I'd have to test it on these machines.

There's multiple gamemodes, but the most common is TDM which has respawns. Advantages vs Counter Strike... well, it's free. Other than that, the games aren't really that similar except that you have a gun and shoot people. The game runs on my old 2001 workstation that uses a whopping pentium 4 and has onboard graphics, so I'm fairly sure they should run on the computers you want. The devs actually try to make the game able to be run on everything.

EDIT: Ace of Spades is really good and I suggest it as well. It's not very "alpha" anymore. More guns and a few bugfixes have fixed it up nicely.

FPS: Urban Terror

It's a Quake 3 mod that went standalone. Almost no system requirements. At times it can be a FFA slugfest, but I've played many rounds of TDM where both sides used tactics.
