The God-Emperor did that. The God Emperor of Mankind.

Silly martians and their heresy.

Oh god, it alters reality.

Welcome to Dwarf Fortress, where the solution to other people's tragedy is always laughter.

And people wanted Toady to nerf animals...

Okay, I got it. (sorry, I wasn't checking my email. Heh.)

I'll get started today, probably have an update by later.

EDIT: I'll need 40d11 for this, right? Where do I download it? All I have is 40d.

I KNOW THE HAMMER LOOKS LIKE A SPEAR IT'S BEEN SAID BEFORE
let's just say it's some sort of hammer shaped and designed to be used by elves.

also Shima, if you can carve something in stone that looks better than that I will eat my paint set.

You do realize that a hammer that does piercing damage would be the bane of everything alive, especially in the hands of Cacame. Imagine that thing twisting in a wound. Yikes.
Well, I don't think there's a terribly great deal of difference between a war hammer and a pick besides how sharp you get them and balance-a war hammer is supposed to ha'e a pretty small contact area e'en if it's not pointy. Could probably make the head ha'e a sharp and an unsharp end.

...Though, the way that's drawn, it looks like it does slashing damage- would need a pretty awkward swing OR one with the side of the hammer to really get a face to connect with someone.

Not that it's bad-looking. Your art is *art*, Fault.

You mean like a claw hammer?

Now I remember what your hammer reminds me of. You know the Roman Legions' Eagle? That's it. It looks like one of those huge, badass, winged statues that they carry atop the banner. Killing someone with one of those would be killing them with all the power and glory of Rome.

Or in this case, Cacame.

What sort of acid? One melts faces, the other melts minds.

Actually, it's a hell of a lot better than being butchered for your bones and skin. ;D

You're technically a natural creature, since you conform to euclidean geometry, unlike the Elder Things, who just don't.

Sooooo yeah, as a Martian, you have a sanity score. Different things might affect it, though. For example, you might have no problem with mind rending blood and gore, but you might see human food and think WHAT IS THAT THING and lose your mind after seeing a sandwich.

She actually makes the journey with a bunch of other half-souls who also have to wander the earth. It's not a specific punishment/reward for her, but rather it's the generic trial to get into the Kingdom for all who are in her situation.

Also: the other mermaids have 300 years to live, then they're annihilated and turn into ocean foam. Yikes.

Speaking of which, you're using Dig Deeper, right? Has he fought any orcs yet?

YES that is it.

Although his Hammer looks a bit like a spear due to the size of the headspike.

I'm not sure. Giving them an entity entry seems to mess with megabeast spawning. It certainly did with my modded megabeast.

You may have set the speed too high.

It should be something like 900. As far as I remember, the higher SPEED is, the slower the creature goes.

(that sounds weird now that I think of it.)

Yup. Turns before next move = Raw speed/100. In other words, your critter has to wait 900 turns before he can take an action.

Set it low for a blinding death god, and high for a slow but fightable creature.
