when i spawn obsidian in midair it kind of just floats there, is there a way to make the obsidian fall to the ground?

i collapsed a mountain side just now, and im left with these downward slopes that float in mid air. i cannot actually target them with remove ramp either, so dfhack doesnt work to get rid of these.

i dont have a trade depot right now, and the merchants that come seem to just sit at the edge of the map until they go insane. is this supposed to happen?

nice, now i can have my immortal adamantine producing goose factory.  Anyone know which tag deals with the max amount of goose i can have before they stop reproducing though?

so which ones do i change the 10 or the 24? i am not really sure what those two numbers mean, and do i need to gen a new world for the edit to take effect.

which tag determines the age an animal can live to in the raws files?

i  modded those goose into my game so that i would have unlimited metal. doesnt matter now though cause apparently a tantruming dwarf broke my trap levers when i wasnt looking and my game already auto saved itself, so my fortress got overrun. i really gota turn that auto save off...

would it work if i created an open magma chamber 1 z level below my dining room and drop the floor beneath the dwarves i choose to kill off?

or do my surviving dwarves only get the "used to death" thing when the killing occurs on the same z level.

whats the minimum number of z levels i need to ensure death by falling?

ugh the only animals i got are my goose that lay adamantium wafers. would my dwarves get used to death without the spiral if i just dropped the 100 dwarves down 20z levels into my dining room instead
