Is there some specific reason why mon should not learn moves every 5 levels? Other than it being silly? I was just thinking that there could be one mon with weird levelling and dapparition being weird psychic head thingie seemed like good candidate for that.

Tssss already learns moves every five levels, so the "wierd leveling" already applies to one thing. Also, the original plan for Dapparition was that it would be functional in contests (which we didn't know if we were going to have at the time), hence it's unusual appearance.

@Johuotar: No specific reason why to make mons learn moves at interesting levels, other than to keep it interesting. Like you mentioned, though, this makes it so that mons that learn moves every 5 levels are pretty unique and gives them some flavor of their own. Generally, though, I only remember legendaries learning moves every 5 levels (and it always seemed like a cop out/laziness because they had already leveled past the vast majority of the moves anyway), just as a note.

From what I see by quick bulbapedia/guide searching, this is the case. I fail to see any non-legendary that follows a boring pattern. The reason I recommended the more interesting move ranges is because certain areas (such as the original 15-25 move range) was more condition usefulness moves, which tend to be learned faster than a damage primary move (Such as Psychic). Additionally, status guarentee moves (such as Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, etc.) tend to be learned at a slightly slower rate (except for the Grass and Bug type ones), so I stretched out when they should be learned.

Can someone give me some feedback about this:

The Moves themselves look good. They are balanced for the mostpart, and only one area is concentrated with combat moves (Snatch-Psychic, though Dream Eater requires specific conditions, so maybe not.) I have a feeling that adding Confuse Ray sometime between Recover and Psycho Boost would benefit. The one thing I would say about the moveset, level wise, is that moves should not be learned every five levels. Here is some level ranges that I would recommend.

Sorry I'm not more specific, but I'm half asleep right now.

Switched it, as I got out-precedented by USEC_OFFICER.

Did a moveset for Carposon

Flamewheel is low/med power move, it should be learned before the powerful Flamethrower move IMO. Mayby change their places? I didnt see anything out of normal in the other movesets.

Flame Wheel has the added effect of being the only move that can be used while frozen, automatically thawing the user. This added effect, along with it's slightly above average power, puts it in the same sphere as Thief, another move added commonly to the end, mainly for it's effect rather than it's power.

Reposting other movesets for review. Will wikify anything uncommented on in 4 hours (excepting carp and cutebald)

Made The Modifications that you had suggested Reudh.

Luster Purge was added as a late move for Novoto.

Added a few Rock type moves to the Llamas, along with Earthquake.

Added Crunch to the Surodero line. I decided that the it didn't need any moves for the early level of units, so thief remained out.

As usual, comments on movesets are appreciated.

Here's three movesets that I've completed thusfar. Comments are appreciated. Should also get the socks and Mistem's movesets finished by the end of the day.

Ok, schools out for me. Should have the time to get a few movesets up today.

In an interesting but only somewhat unrelated note: I finally get how base stats work. I'll start working on stats after all (currently needed) movesets are done.

I also declare my intention to enter.

This is extremely generous of all giveaway parties.

The thing is that the gen 3 games have a bug in them that causes roaming mons to have all their IVs set to 0 when caught with the exception of their attack and HP and the Attack couldn't go above 7. It wasn't until Emerald version that the bug was fixed

Fortunately, no roaming mons are planned, so this is a moot point at the moment.

Hello everyone, I just came to tell that the reports of me abandoning this project are exaggerated.

Just thought I would respond to a post relating to movesets, seeing as it was one of the ones I made.

EDIT: I worked with #68-69 Wambler and Gianbane. Both got stats, some moveset changes, new descriptions and other information added. Wambler is now sort of Magikarp with bad stats, but has better moveset. Gianbane got pretty strong stats, as I imagined that is what you were planning for it.

The point of the original moveset of Wambler and Gianbane was the lack of wambler to be remotely effective in battle (not learning a move until it was level 17), in which then it got progressively more competant until it became Gianbane, which was supposed to be incredibly powerful. I would likely push the levels back on the changes, and re-add Guillotine to Gianbane's moveset, to re add the flavor of the legend.

Other than that, I approve of everything else you did. Though I can make movesets, I suck pretty much at everything else, so seeing some work on descriptions and stats is good.

FAKEEDIT:
Isn't the Polkadex in FR / LG actually 350ish mons long? You know, you can catch alot of the G/S/C pokemon between the two versions, and it accepts any imported pokes from R/S/E.

Not to make your job harder or anything.  :P

Yes, but the plan was to only have the pokedex for 1 standard game of new pokes. We are basing it on FR because it is the most modern (and indeed, last) of the 2D Pokemon.

Added the Llamas to ze wiki, everyone. Also, for ze 100th number, I have an Idea.

Beakdog (Normal) -> Beakowolf (Fighting)

Of course, thematically, from a Ordinary canine to a Evil Slaying ninja humanoid.

Sockmon only has three sprites (front), for the Grasauk~Saukriboo line, and pts/3, !!pts3!! have neither name nor sprites. Also, no move sets / stats.

I'm almost finished with movesets for it and a few other lines, but It would help if they were put on the wiki. Locating and adding pages now.

463
I made basic planning on 4 mons that belong to the type groups that are currently underpopulated. Now that I got enough I'll start making stats and movesets.

Wait... are you saying that there is more movesets to make?

...

NO, I WAS ALMOST DONE, JUST 4 MORE LINES AND THEY ALL WOULD HAVE MOVES.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I'm on the case. Give me a night.

EDIT: Also, gave a name to your "Bat-Man". Say hello to Vesperom, ze Dark/Fighting Bayobeast.

HERE IS MY EASTER GIFT, MORTALS

Spoiler: Bayobeasts by Type (click to show/hide)

ALSO, PUNY MORTALS, I MUST ASK.

Would it be possible for me to be the Move Tutor in game? I already created a significant portion of the movesets, so it makes sense in my book.

THAT IS ALL.
