Wanted to jump in here again real quick to make a suggestion for the game.  Check out Google Wave, I'm playing in a Pathfinder game right now, it's working really well and could be THE new online PnP standard.

Why would an invasion end the commune system? You can always assimilate into the conqueror's territory and continue your communes. Remember, all you need is food, moving tickets, and houses. You don't even need guns if you forgo that annoying military-industrial complex.
It lead to lost morale in the commune workers as the communist party lost the election to foreign powers. The new government also went about trying to limit the communes' effectiveness, which I guess worked somewhat.

Not in my experience, admins haven't punished communists in the past. I was part of a communist takeover of Slovakia sometime during the summer which would have worked completely if not for simultaneous Hungarian and Romanian takeovers. We had a pretty in depth system of communes going, though I left to defend my homeland from a fake war and didn't return, as I was too busy working towards the overthrowing of the idiots who lied to the entire country and cost many people their fortunes.. Not really sure what happened to Slovakia after that, but I'm Rakonas in game.

Wow, wages have plummeted where I've been inactive for several months.. Did wages just drop across the world, or what? I've moved to paraguay and joined the company, anyway.
Additionally, I think we ought to make our companies be communes. Basically, we have everyone work for the same barely existent wage, providing to each the fruits of their labour as they need. 7 food a week, weapons when there's a war, moving tickets, etc. and eventually maybe houses. Communes are very much able to work in eRepublik as they rely upon several skilled labourers working for almost nothing to produce goods at such cheap prices that the current capitalist economy of the country starts to collapse. Communism is surely the dwarven way of life.

You don't even get minesweepers so the only way to get past the minefield is to fall victim to it.
Sounds like a pretty accurate portrayal of attempting to survive as a soviet soldier, to me. I'm thinking about buying the game, but does it really add anything other than the new campaign?

Why isn't plasma incorporated into chemistry in some way?
There's no point of chemistry on the space station unless plasma is involved, atleast from an RP point of view. A chemist on a plasma research station should be researching the applications of plasma in chemistry. At the moment really all a chemist can do is make Space Drugs, make Acid+Smoke Bombs+Incendiary Grenades for fighting, and make Thermite for if the AI has gone rogue.

The dolphins appear every 5000 points, and you get (score/5000) of them.  You can't interact with them.  Sadly.  But when you get up to 30000+ points, there sure are a lot!
Except that's the end of it, which makes me lose the desire to try to get any better than 60k points, seeing as how I won't ever get dolphins past about 40k  :-\

I've never played any tabletop rpgs before for the same reason as urist's, but I'm willing to try it out, as this sounds awesome. I have little clue at what time I'd be available, but probably 10pm-4pm EST.

I did this once on the goonserver as the AI. Halfway through I launched a campaign of instilling love and harmony in all the crew. Obviously, I used laughing gas and fun shocking. Good times were had by all!

said something about rickroll, the bulb burning out and then I got connection failed.
I believe that I'm the person whom you flashed. I was afk when it happened, but it gave the message that I'd became a revolutionary, followed by the rick roll message, and then nothing else. I don't think it was revolution mode at all, so that's probably the problem.

To be fair, it was apparently a flash flood across an entire ocean. A flash cataclysmic tsunami, perhaps?

I would say that it would be better to make zombie require three bits set correctly, so that it is a random occurance and mostly unpredictable. Example: Zombie if the last digit is _ or _
Hmmm, that would definitely work better, thinking about it. Would have to examine the DNA of a couple of zombies and a human to determine which blocks are responsible. More experimentation being necessary would be great!

Have a zombie idea for genetics.
Make zombie status be encoded in the same DNA block as monkey and human.
As such, it would be possible to accidentally turn someone into a zombie, and cloning zombies would actually be possible. My genetics memory isn't fresh, but I presume you could have it in a very narrow range, while monkey and human are in much wider ranges.
