I recommend Warcraft 3. It's an rts but has rpg elements. Your most important units have an inventory, levels, attributes and a bunch of spells. There's also a ton of custom maps for it, including several good rpgs.

To whoever gets their home chosen for the B12 base, could you please post a video or screenshot series of you walking to your home from the starter point?

This stuff -their preferences for habitats- is all in the entity raws. For similar reasons you will sometiems find human forest retreats.

You know what this means: trying to convince all civs to build a giant town/retreat/fortress/tower metropolis.

Cave in knockout dust generates a large sphere so you could pave the ground with traps and then built a single support+floor ontop of it to knock them down and hope they hit a trap/not splat on impact.

Does a cage trap save things falling from great heights?

Do they have a defence in place against somebody downloading it 25 times on different accounts and then giving all their cards to the main one? If no, i might try it out because i am NOT going to pay for the CHANCE of getting new content.

I'm just surprised that you could complain about how unskilled your opponents are when they had two pyros dedicated to airblasting any grenades away (and quite good at it apparently), as well as a sniper who must have been very good to keep you from headshotting those pyros.

Because remember, three stickybombs = dead sentry with no chance to repair.  A couple of good demos, under decent cover fire, can totally take down a pile of sentries if they can hit it from outside of its range.  Heck, you could also take out a good chunk with one spy + one sniper; cloak to someplace around a corner from the sentries, headshot the engie(s), then sap everything you can before the pyros kill you.  Sacrifice your spy to remove a couple sentries, then just keep them from rebuilding...  Heck, an ubered pyro + spy would probably let you clear the sentries out entirely once you can get inside, just keep the engineers back long enough for the sapping to do its magic.

I see plenty of good strategies here.

I never complained about the pyros or the sniper, who found an alternative way to play and did that perfectly, just the engineers who didn't move an inch after they were done plopping down their dispensers and sentries. It shouldn't take 10 people stacked to an unusual class setup to get rid of 3 competent players and 4 afk ones.

The entire problem could be fixed by removing the frame above the hill or changing the hill so that it's possible to actualy get some stickies/rockets over there without getting the relevant soldier/demo shredded the moment they appear on the ridge and any shots they got off being blasted back by the pyros. Sniping was impossible because of the fact that the sniper would either need to expose himself on the ridge or through the tiny window which would make him an easy target for the enemy sniper already zoomed in on that point. Getting a spy in didn't work either because of the fact that it was a tiny area with a pair of infinite ammo pyros running around spychecking everyone and no cover nearby to use for cloak recharge. Ubercharging something and having it storm across the ridge merely causes the person to be knocked back across the map because of the simultaneous hits from multiple t3 sentries before any damage is done.

So basically, good teamwork should be discouraged?

There's a difference between teamwork and requiring half the team to switch class and perform a cheesy suicide move to use against a bunch of people who's only action is taping down mouse1 and aiming at their sentry.

You just did the equivalent of calling every successful military strategy "Just shooting people"
I don't get what your analogy is about here, care to explain?

Primary weapon: Axe
Secondary weapon: Pile of dragon/other big thing bone bolts. Because stabbing every single part of somebody's body into red with 100 simultaneous hits is funny.
Bizarre weapon:  Live vermin.

Here is something you may find interesting:

EA has gone on the record to say that the Pirated version is a Buggy Pre-release version

Goodness, EA better hope the real version is perfect (assuming they were telling the truth) or else people are going to get mad!
So the fact that you have to log in with one of your serials onto the internet every time you want to play is a bug supposed to be fixed for release?

Face it, EA pressmonkeys are talking out of their ass and everything they say should be considered non-information unless corfirmed or denied from somewhere else.

@Debvon: Something you missed is the lack of ability to build your house from scratch and effectively a 5 family limit due to the lack of plots.

The uninstall is bad(the same thing happened to me with RA3U, I'm starting to see a pattern here...) but not as bad as damnation(Codemaster's gears of war/western hybrid supposed to REVOLUTIONIZE the shooter genre with it's verticality), which looks as if it functions(and takes half an hour) but infact only deletes the .exe required to play.

I played some new maps yesterday and i found that PL_Pipeline should be renamed PL_Passchendaele. At one point, both sides had 4 turrets on the ground with a further 4 dispensers in the dugout, 2 pyros for airblasting any grenades and atleast 1 sniper permanently staring at the overlook window. Charging across the middle was completely impossible even with ubercharges because of the immense knockback power and cloaking a spy through it didn't work either because everybody knew who was supposed to to near the blockade and who wasn't.

After 40 min stalemate we finally breached it with 5 soldiers and 5 kritzkrieg medics. Hoodoo is an improvement over barren wasteland Badwater but it feels too cramped in places.

Out of curiosity to see who's speaking the truth, EA or RELOADED, i downloaded the game and tried to run it without a crack. With an internet lock engaged.

The result: i get an error that the game can't connect to the server and it closes down. It seems they can get away with the drm planned for mass effect as long as they claim it isn't there.

I downloaded the increased spawns mod and a mod that adds a ton of weapons to the game(mostly reskins with new stats but still).

Raiders actually become a threat again when they start bringing M82's.

Hm, more on topic, are the F3 Brotherhood really a bunch of goody two shoe paladins of the Wasteland now?

Not really, the main group decided that saving the wasteland population was more important then looting near non-existent technology but still regard the rest of humanity as little more then farm animals too weak to defend themselves. There's another group that decided to stick to the original plan and care more about the laser pistol you are holding then you. The "new" brotherhood completely ignores you until you defeat a super mutant behemoth in front of them. At which point they see you as a "native with potential". It requires wrecking an entire enclave base before they recognize you as someone on par with them. The "old" brotherhood treats you like shit throughout the entire game and even the dlc that involves you fetching them much the most valuable treasure in the game for them.

Now that the wrath of the internet has struck them down for saying that they wouldn't put drm on it but then attempting to ship it with securom, we can now watch as modders create a superior game and release it before EA.
