DF Bug Reports / Muddy Islands Appearing

These two muddy squares appeared at some point. I am sure they were not there before.
They say they are:

Just like it says. I got a messssage that some lizardman I knocked back. (I already knocked him into a water square, and continued to fight him, from the adjacent dry land) I knocked him back, and he flew further into the river. He then proceeded to vomit and "disappeaer under the water" two times in a row.

But... I could still see him throughout the entire process.

He then bled to death, and his body disappeared

DF Bug Reports / Adventure Mode: Sleeping While Slow

When I am weighed down heavily, each step takes longer, because I assume that more turns are taking place with each step. So when I sleep and I am very slow, it seems like it takes as long as sleeping normally plus however many extra turns it would take each turn proccessed while sleeping.
I don't know if adventure mode time/sleep is going to be redone or if this should be addressed specifically.

When the first trade liasion came I looked at my stores and saw like 4 battle axes and a bunch of other nice looking stuff that I would love to already have been owning (The dwarves smuggled it or something?) -

but no, he was just including all of my stones and sticks along with all the stuff the traders were bringing.

That is what the outpost liasion keeps telling me... I don't get it, is that like some dwarven secret code?

The first time (I have not gotten to the second time yet- ) the outpost laision shows up and I finish choosing what I want him to bring - when he is finished the screen goes into story mode (eg.when the caravan is leaving for the first time) and it says:

"Craftdwarfship."

and that's it.

Every single piece of narrow clothing I have is foreign made (with ()'s around it)

except for one!

This occurred after my first siege ever!!! woot!

I never had the patience to stick it through with one fortress until I got one before


( i kicked their ass by the way (about an even # of unarmored dwarf cannon fodder farmers died))

DF Bug Reports / Flooded pools are unselectable

I accidentally built a huge channel in one of my flood-farm room. That sucks.

So I turn it into a pool, because it is surrounded by rooms and I can not use it as a channel.

Next year, I flood my farms and the pool gets flooded and as soon as the water touches it, it turns into an empty channel. I unflooded the room and now I can not select the channel (as a building) at all.

DF Bug Reports / magma forge not being used correctly?

I have one magma forge and a couple of smelters set up. I have 3 metalsmiths (they are the only ones who have metalsmithing job active). Every once in a while, the forge will sit empty, and the metalsmith will stand around with no job. Sometimes, if a certain carpenter is not busy, he will go and start forging (even though he does not have metalsmithing activated in his job list) Once the metalsmiths stop going to the forge, they will never come back, unless I cancel the jobs at the forge, and place them again. Then the metalsmith goes there immediately.

I am forging a silver axe & copper spear both on repeat

It is the same carpenter who keeps going to the forge, by the way.


This has occurred 3 times so far, in between, the metalsmith makes maybe 1-2 items.

I have a save if you need it (with the forge sitting empty, and a free metalsmith awake)

DF Bug Reports / injured dwarf possessed and crazy immediately

I had an injured dwarf resting and recovering his wounds. He gets possessed and immdeiately goes stark raving mad. I do not know if this is a bug, or a function of possession, as my dwarf was not very happy at all. Only one of my other many dwarves who was injured did not go insane, so they do not have the best of conditions, there being only two beds for ~80 dwarves.

I have a dwarf who washed down the river to a one-square wide place and is really thirsty. But he is almost surrounded by water!

The siege equipment and the trap components menu in the metalsmith's forge are infected by adamantine - the bottom 2 and 1 selections, respectively, of every metal is adamantine.

DF Bug Reports / Traders Come 1000lbs Overweight!!

Yup, I finally got all my crap over to the trading booth and they are starting out as 1052 lbs over weight.

Besides trying to sell me a bunch of dead animals. And I am not going to buy one of those dead things! I would rather starve and die of thirst (which is going to happen very soon).

I have three cages with corpses in them being offered for trade- what are these traders trying to pull eh? That one is not even moving! - also a bunch of the food is showing wear (I do not know if this is a new feature! I always wondered about the refrigerators they packed onto the backs of those mules) - I did not have a trade depot set up when they arrived and I noticed another time that happened that one of the traders was off the visible are of the playing map when regularly scrolling around (you have to zoom directly to the actor to see the not-visible-normally part of the map) - if being off the map might have something to do with it, because some cheese that these traders have is not showing any wear (though maybe that lasts longer - just cut off the edges and your fine) - the plump helmets are still ok as well.
