Seed 373668154: Red Sand, tons of limestone & magnetite, lava, cave river, demons, chasm, trees, plants. The only thing my perfect start is missing is skeletal & zombie animals.... (and maybe a cave or two)

Here are a bunch of starting locations I have found for this seed - I am sure there are tons more - there are lots of evil mountains and desserts all over the place. I do not think I found any flux in any of these places though...

no, it is all random - also some places have many moons or more than one sun and all of this other random coolness - i think you have to look at somethin while in adventure mode to notice this

you don't want a bridge! You want an aqueduct.

but you probably can't build the bridge because they want to start it from the other side or something. if you make the bridge raiseable instead of retractable, you can choose which side to start construction from. Might be a different situation, but that is the problem that I would sometimes encounter when trying to build a bridge

my strategy for cleaning up the massive quantities of rocks:

build an indoors rock pile of whatever size

build a pit nearby (that has a ramp leading down) and use 'i' like the above poster said to mark the edges as a pit

put refuse pile at the bottom of the pit

when the stonek pile gets full designate all the stones in the stone pile to be dumped (so tedious! but unless you do some macro thinga, this seems the easiest & fastest way - there should  be only one stone per pile tile, so designating them all to dump is pretty quick - except for the fact that you make the dwarves haul the stones twice - but I like to build large, cavernous halls and sometimes deep & winding pits and it is annoying designating 2-3++ stones on each tile for dumping - at least until toady adds in the dumping fields ala the claim/forbid fields)

It seems to me like they have gotten stronger, or at least some of them - right around the time the hunters got better too. Or maybe they just got an AI attacking type boost - like not grabbing limbs and then letting them go the next turn

is there any way to create an armor stand with a specific type of stone. I have 2800+ stones and out of those, I have 2 pumice stones. I tried creating light stone armor stands & dark stone armor stands & regular ones but they are all every kind except pumice.

I don't know... I would always set up bridge-traps in the previous version, but I set up a whole bunch today and got some goblins to chase me back over them and they never went off.... I had it from size 2 to max creatures. I will have to test it some more before I put a bug report, maybe I just messed up
