DF Gameplay Questions / Fell mood help?

So I know what a fell mood is, but I've never experienced one. The guy who got it claimed a tanners workshop then murdered the nearest dwarf, but he never did anything with it. He seems to be just sitting at the workshop, is there any way I can get him to do something?

If hes slightly moving, and you can get to the tower, why not make the tower his room? Booze, food all up there.
Finally got him to move, just took a few retreating orcs for him to shoot at to move.

I hate to ask, but is there any way that they can't path out of their isolated spot?
Yeah, considering my dwarves kept putting bolts in the stockpile in the tower. He finally moved, and getting hungry and very drowsy.
If he's miserable, are you sure he's not insane?
He's not insane, or I would the tantrum spiral would have started (nearly every dwarf is a friend, risky I know, but I like having dwarves with good stats).

Squad is off duty? Is he hungry? Or thirsty? Sometimes military dwarves will just sit around somewhere random
He's hungry and thirsty, while miserable.

Change their station, take them off duty, change commander, release from duty... one of those should work. Oh, and patrol points (if you have them...)
One of them is an elitemarksdwarf, so releasing him wouldn't work. Tried everything else. One dwarf is saved though.

I put my marksdwarves into position on a tower. Now that the siege is over, the dwarves are NOT moving. Is there any way I can force them to move somewhere so they don't decide to starve themselves?

Lost a liaison from a modded civ. Why? The deep elf was missing an ear, and a finger. So she would go unconscious every few steps. Not a good idea when my entrance has a lot of cage traps, I never noticed and she died in the cage. Damnit, there goes any hope of getting any more giant desert scorpions :(.

My current fortress is on a map with a 45-tile-wide river, which I dammed with a whole load of screw pumps. I've excavated a huge pit in the riverbed, and am in the process of building an underwater city out of iron and green glass where my fortress' elite will live, isolated and safe from the depredations of goblins, kobolds and orcs.

I'm also working out a way to have an airlock operated by a single lever that'll be flooded when closed, and won't open until the water has been automatically pumped out. Fluid logic AND gates seem to be the way forward, which will be an adventure.
Dear god, post that fort on DFMA, or post a save, I REALLY want to see more of this fort.

I have a new one, I stat train my military dwarves by having them be engravers, masons, and mechanics. They can get a lot of work done in the fort before they become champions. I hate having idlers so I have nearly everyone have masonry.

I agree with the philosopher, and the dungeon master.
But with my current fort, I'm gonna say my current mayor. Why? Not only is he nearing legendary axedwarf, and is already legendary woodcutter with perfect stats. He had taken out a squad COMPLETELY by himself with no armor, only an iron axe, and all the orcs were mounted on beak dogs. The orcs then shat many bricks and retreated, with him following behind killing all of the stragglers. (If you want to see his rampage and a marksdwarves rampage, see here.
Here is a video of him going apeshit on a squad of orcs. You might want to slow down the video to get more action.

Having installed a light version of the Orc mod, I was forced to lock my dwarven caravan inside for a whole season and a half to protect them. As a result, almost everyone ended up going insane, with the Liason running around babbling.

He has returned to make trade agreements every year since then. Is this awesome? Y/N.
Are all his trade goods set at insane prices? Couldn't resist saying that...

This reminds me, I caught a breeding pair of GCS and they have had numerous children (18) so far. Once most of the kids reach adulthood, I'm making them all war GCS and they're gonna be the fortress guard.
