Mafia / Hated God (in signups! 2/9)

Rules:
1: All votes in RED
2: Days are 48 hours, nights are as long as it takes for all NKs to be sent in, with a max of 24 hours, and a min of 14
3: Always play to win!
4: Extensions happen if a third of players vote for it, it extends by 24 hours
5: Shortenings end the day ASAP
6: Post editing = MODKILL.
7: You must post once every 24 hours, if you do not, you will get a prod, if you don't post 24 hours again, you are MODKILLED.


Roles:

The god: mafia win conditions, has 10 random powers (they just choose the target), no NK

Demigod: If the god makes a demigod via night action, this happens. Mafia win conditions, has a NK, has 3 powers (they just choose target).

Heretic leader: If the god makes a cult leader via night action, this happens. Wins when god is dead and they outnumber others. has a NK.


The god powers:

Smite: Kills target.

Holy Guarding: Protects target from lynch.

Curse: Target takes one less vote to be lynched.

Bless: Target's vote counts as two (Target does not know they were targeted by this)

Ordinate/Convert*: Turns townie into a demigod, who wins with the god and gets 2-3 powers, they know they were targeted.

Insult/Make heretic*: Turns target into a cultist leader, who acts like the normal cult in other games, they can convert others.

Make sacrifice: Target must choose a player to be NK'd

Make likeable*: Target becomes a "beloved princess", day is skipped on her death, person who did the final vote on them is killed.

Make unlucky*: Target is lynched if they have a vote on them, instead of other players.

Madden*: Turns target into a Serial Killer.

*Permanent, all others last one turn.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Mechanical Morhping Terrain (MMT) IT WORKS!

I propose a design:

X= Drawbridge (each tile = seperate dawbridge)
L= lever
O= Wall

XXXXXOLLLLL
XXXXXOLLLLL


The idea: When you raise one of the bridges via lever, it becomes a wall, right? When you lower them, they are a floor.

If we can make one tile drawbridges, we could make morphing hallways, making them versitile. if a caravan comes, we could make the hallway 3 wide, when it leaves, it could be one wide with soldiers stationed in the hallway.



Does it work? I'm going to test now.


EDIT: I was right, IT WORKS!

There's only one problem, you cannot see wich tile is wall or floor without looking at the levers, pointint right means wall, left means floor.

Alright, let's start :D

I'd like to go for 7 players, here are the roles, PM me for a role:

TownieA:Unfilled (Pm abd this will change to "filled")
TownieB:Unfilled (Pm abd this will change to "filled")

Cop:Unfilled (Pm abd this will change to "filled")

The way I'm setting it up is:
Mafia people know other Mafia people.
Townies know nobody.
Cops begin hidden, you look like a normal townie.
Docters are like cops.
Mafia people, docters and cops all get a lynch vote.


So, let's begin, when you PM me, DON'T POST THAT YOU HAVE A ROLE. Only post in the thread when all spaces are full!

Well, I just mined into a hollow vein of admantine, It's full of demons and it's RIGHT NEXT TO MY FORGES. What should I do to *try* to get rid of them? What will actually work?

A military is out of the question, because I have a popcap of 20 dwarves and I won't change that.
This fortress has yet to see a human or elven caravan.

Also, I actually want this fort to do something fun (maybe FUN later, if I get bored, then I'll unleash demons), so I'm not releasing them YET.

So, what do?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have them safely walled in.

Make it so as it only takes 100 juice for a sleeper to do direct action.

They only gain about 3 juice per month, if you are lucky, and it took forever to get my best one to 100 juice, then I realise I STILL CAN'T GODDAMN DO ANYTHING USEFUUL WITH HIM!

"Father's gone crazy..." muttered Charzy, the Prince. He has just been told by his father he was to stop counting coins and dealing with merchants, and to choose 6 others to follow him into the wilderness.

You see, the king was a very old man, the fortress was getting dangerous, the old vaults and rooms were crumbling, and so, the king decided, he would send out his son with a band of 6 others to build a new fortress, in the wilderness, to carry on the McDwarf Dynasty.


That's where you guys come in.

Our embark:




MY character will be Charzy McDwarf, the Prince. He will be the main noble guy.

The first 6 guys to post can get a dwarf, please tell me what you want me to take with me for that dwarf, no matter what is chosen, we will come with 60 alcohols, 40 edibles, an anvil, some seeds and some buckets/ropes/splints/crutches ect.

BOOK ONE: GENESERATION
CHAPTER ONE: THE GODS

In the beginning, there was nought.
And, in a flash of light, The Gods appeared, from nothing, to nothing, for nothing, as nothing.
And The Gods had a census, and they were: "Arzaldareth" "Nerosintitum" "Adamndas" "Armok" "Horuclazen"
And They were powerful.

CHAPTER TWO: THE GENERATION

One time, Arzaldareth said, "Let Us end this boredom, and build Ourselves a place to exist"
And The Gods said, "Aye!"
And so, Arzaldareth took power from the Great Energy, Toady, and made the land.
And Nerosintitum took power from Toady, and made the sky
And Admandas took power from Toady, and made the rocks in the land vary and change, with ore and others.
And Horuclazen took power from Toady, and made life, the birds, the fish, the animals.
And Armok waited, and did nothing.

CHATPER THREE: THE CREATION OF INTELLIGENT LIFE

Now, The Gods became bored again, the animals did not often do anything interesting.
So, Arzaldareth said, " Let Us make animals, in our own image, to be intelligent and do interesting things for Us"
And The Gods said, "Aye!"
And so, Arzaldareth made Humans, to use the land hje had created as a home, and to build average things.
And Horuclazen made Elves, to live in the forests in harmony with the animals and birds he had created.
And Admandas made Dwarves, to live in the land and to mine the ores and various rocks he had created, and to build deep things.
And Nerosintitum made Goblins, to live in great towers, in the sky he has created and war with the others, and to build tall things.
And, secretly, in the very depths, unknown to the others, Armok did an evil thing.
Armok created the Dead Stone, Slade, that no mortal may touch.
And he created the Dark beasts, with poisonous vapours and corrosive blood, to revel in the evil he had created.

CHAPTER FOUR: THE DEMONS AND THE SEALING

The Dwarves one day dug deep, and found the Dead Stone, Slade.
They ignored it and went about their daily lives, but the Demons saw them.
The Demons came up and slaughtered the Dwarves, and Armok laughed, and rejoiced in his victory.
Arzaldareth said, "Which one of Us has created these foul things? These things which rip the creatures to peices".
Armok said, "I have, as I am more powerful than you, and my army shall destroy the things you have made, and live in the land"
"But why?" said the others.
"Because", said Armok, "They will worship ME and make offerings to ME and I chall rule over them!"
And the others saw Armok's plan, and were angry.
They drew power from Toady and cast Armok down to the depths, laughing as he went, along with his dark spawn.
The holes the dwarves had dug were sealed with the Living Stone, Adamantine, named for Admandas and Nerosintitum, who had done most fighting against Armok.
Armok saw this and was angry, and he cursed the Adamantine, for those mortals who look apon it will want it more than anything, and the blessed creatures, the Dwarves, would love it even more, and would mine it out, knowing of the Demons that lurked underneath.



I hope that last cpater was longer, as there was much more to write about this time, next up I'll begin the Dwarven version of the Exodus, where they will be held captive by the Goblins and will break free, under the wing of a great hero... Morul...

Freerunners, they would have high street sense and athletics, high alility and could be conservative, liberal or moderate.

The reason: the perfect drug dealer, they can outrun police and are unlikly to get caught anyway.

Well, I'm gonna do a succession game, but with a twist: tons of dupe raws! I'll dupe the entire creature_standard file and gen the world, then we'll play as whatever we happen to get, with all the crazy items we happen to get!

I'll gen the world after at least one person joins, then we'll play!

I look forward to a great sucession! Also, you need to play with the messed up raws, so you must copy your dwarf fortress folder, go into te raws, go to creature_standard and copy the entire file, then go to the bottom of the file, press enter and paste the raws again, this will be FUN.

Does it ever end? I've had an injured soldier in surgery for over a year now, will it finish? He had 3 broken bones, 2 need surgery, neither have been finished, all 3 need setting, have compound fractures, need surtures and need dressing.

I don't get this, how do I make clothes, how do I get weapons other than my bow and arrow, HOW DO I FIRE THAT THING?!
