Oh god, the spawn rates in some servers are insane.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I can't imagine what hell and Bloodmoon are like.

Who the heck built those houses anyway? I mean a HOUSE in HELL? That's just dumb, especially with the bone serpent attacks every 5 minutes.

Actually if you do it right, you can set it up so Boneservants don't bother you at all.

In fact because of all the mining I did, I have to travel to another side of hell just to fight them proper because they keep falling down my shafts.

Bone SERPENTS, not bone servants. Serpents have the worm AI and aren't affected by walls (or lack of walls).

I set up buildings just above hell all the time, never in it though. It helps when hell-mining.

You can dominate anything you can't talk to by running into them. I believe you can dominate nobles, miners, beggars, and similar NPCs; but real townspeople like guards and citizens are off limits.

What's the best way to keep your Level and Fame down, respectively?

For level, some equipment has the ability "Stunts your growth" which drains experience from you at random times. Also, if you start a zombie ranch you can nab some potions of descent.

For fame, take quests - non-delivery/escort only - and fail them. In hunting quests you can walk right out of the encounter, hopefully before you get attacked by anything. For fetch or cooking quests, let the timer run out. In harvest quests you can just eat the fruits right off the floor, and the monsters aren't anything too difficult.

Alternatively, if you don't have or don't mind losing pet arena rank, head to the arena and give up repeatedly.

Snail Tourist, no luck feats, final destination.

Try a pianist, they're more fun than it sounds.

Also, in Elona, it's referred to as "{FUN}".

EoC is possible with full copper and enough shuriken, I've heard. EoW is easy but I don't know how easy, and Skeletron is probably the hardest.
EoC is real easy, so long as you have space to dodge. I've done it with no armor and a harpoon.

I doubt you can kill EoW with Shuriken now, EoW body sections were significantly buffed. The 10 damage the shuriken deals isn't so nice when it's cut to 3.

Of course, if you give yourself hellstone platforms, an obsidian skull, and enough dynamite you could probably do it with a fresh character with 100HP and no armor.

Edit: Derp, misread EoC as EoW.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I never tire of listening to anecdotes and advice about Elona.

Remember, Everyone LOOOOVES Shena's ass
You could bounce a quarter off of it!
How does she stay in such great shape?

Either way, musket is superior to the 'shark.

What?

If you're talking about damage per bullet, then I'd agree; but in terms of DPS, the minishark is superior.

In the time it takes to shoot one musket bullet you'd probably be able to fire ~5 minishark bullets.

Skeletron's 6 defense cuts the musket down to 15 per shot, and the minishark gets 6DMG X 5 shots.
If targeting the hands, musket is cut down by 9 to 12, where the minishark is 3 X 5 shots.

Though, the biggest downside is DAT COST. How much does it cost to fire this for 12 seconds?

Flail against bosses. It hits multiple times if you cast it above your head when Skeletron is levitating.
With Blue moons being Dungeon-only and Sunfuries being a rare drop from Bone Serpents, I think he's still getting by with a Ball O' hurt.

Also, has anyone else tried throwing Vile Powder on Skelly?

Just asking..

What tier of stuff should I use to kill skeletron?
The best you can get.

I recommend, at minimum, full meteor armor + space gun. If you're fortunate enough to have a minishark or hellstone tier equipment available, use them. Harpoons can do a lot of damage if you're close enough to skeletron (like when he charges at you) and can click fast enough. Grenades are also quite useful, since they can deal a lot of damage provided you have enough space to move. If nothing else, shadow armor + shadow axe/hammer can deal quite a bit of damage if you time your "moon-walking" correctly.

Again, alter the battlefield to your advantage; a long, flat walkway will make skeletron a lot easier to dodge when he does that spinning head move.

Merchants don't take much to get. Just make 2 boxes out of stone, 8 tiles wide and 4 tiles tall (not including the walls), stick a chair and table in both (next to each other), add a torch to each, and collect 50 silver.

Shurikens cost 20 copper each, so that starting 50 silver is enough for a full stack of 250 shurikens.

If money is a problem, get sand, turn it into glass, turn the glass into bottles, then sell the bottles. Two full stacks of sand is one gold (100 silver/10,000 copper).

2111
You can throw shurikens significantly faster than you can shoot arrows too, it doesn't hurt to have a backup weapon though. Bring plenty of potions.

If you're thinking of going up against an Eater of Worlds, I strongly recommend stocking up on grenades.

Also, setting up several long rows of wooden platforms makes dodging much easier.

Can you return to a god that you defected from eventually. I'm worshiping Kumiromi so I could get the scythe (It seems to be the best weapon a fairy can use) but now that I have it I want to get some more treasures for me and god weapons for my pets. That said without Kumiromi it is kinda pointless having a farm. So I can return to him once I get what I want, right?

Yep, at any time. When leaving a god, you lose any "Faith points" you've accumulated and get hit with a 10,000 turn curse; but otherwise there's nothing else.

Welp, I stole the kitty bank from Noyel (10k) and I am currently saving up for... Something.

Question, should I get a Ranch, Farm or Museum?

Depends, the ranch is useless without the ability to catch monsters, and the museum is useless without statues/cards. Ranches can make decent amounts of money and corpses for stats, but the museum can make bank with little player interaction aside from placing statues/cards.

Putits can easily be caught with a domination rod and any level of magic device, breed quickly, and give charisma when eaten; where the museum is easily maxed out with lots of Gwen the Innocent statues/cards.

What's better, a silver mail with 2 DV and 11 PV with darkness protection or a metal mail with 1 DV and 15 PV with protection from fire?

DV is a bit useful in the beginning, but as you progress, you'll want more PV. Both are useless against magic though, so definitely go for building resistances.

I'd say go with metal, fire is a lot more common than darkness.
Of course, it also depends on whether you're using light, medium, or heavy armor skill. Silver is a fair bit lighter than metal.

You were expecting something good that's riding the coat tails of a major game release, a game with no storyline whatsoever?

Considering the awesomeness we get from Dwarf Fortress, could you fault him?

How am I making money, you ask?

Well, I'm not. A cursed feather hat is stealing all of it. All the magic vendors are out of uncurse scrolls.

Get scrolls of inferior material, turn the hat into raw or candy, then eat it.

SoIM are fairly common as drops, can be bought from shops, or be made with the jeweler skill (at skill level 1).
