Okay, back to Skyrim.

So I've been questing and generally playing Skyrim, but I realized I have much more fun just going into the plains with my bow and turning up spawn rates from various mods and just... well surviving.

So far the mods I'm using are:
Realistic Needs and Diseases
Hunterborn
Wet and Cold
Realistic Nights (Darkest)
Wearable Lantern
Crafting Kits

Then a bunch of misc ones such as crafting overhaul, forgotten magic, tougher guards, werewolf/vampire, etc.

Anything else I should add to this?

Now, before anyone mentions Frostfall, I find it just doesn't work for me. I'm playing an alteration brawler, who depends on wearing no armor. Frostfall keeps me stuck to the fire and unable to do anything; even with Bearskin (x3 due to alteration bonus), fur cloak, and 120% frost resist.

Are CBMs useful for anything if your character does not use them (or, in a scenario more applicable to the typical character, already has the CBMs in question)? The only use I found for them was kickstarting skill training by repairing/reinforcing a few of them, since I don't think they can be disassembled.
Some can be disassembled for parts.
The fusion blaster arm can be turned into a rifle with the requisite skills.
And a the laser/fusion/lightning cbms can be turned into weapon turrets.

They still have the CBM_CIV flag so I'm pretty sure they do.

Shadowlord: Toady Donation + 2
IronyOwl: Crypt of the Necrodancer

Shadowlord rolled 1d20+2 → [8,2]= (10)
IronyOwl  rolled 1d20 → [15]= (15)
IronyOwl easily slew Shadowlord, tossed his body aside, and proceeded to take a starving developer's lunch money!

IronyOwl is the winner!
Please PM me your email to dance on his grave.

Current Budget is: $32
Insult to Injury: I have a copy of the game in my account so it was free.
On the plus side, I think we have someone who's beaten Sirus's consecutive loss record.

Pharmacies usually have things called doors that people use to get in and out.
Casual detected.

You're probably one of those people that use houses as shelter instead of burning it down to cook food too.

Are there working, non-moronic NPCs yet?
No.

How can I get my character to stop having the flu? I rammed my vehicle through a pharmacy wall to get a flu shot, but it doesn't seem to have cured me.
Cold medicine and the like doesn't cure diseases. It merely lessens the symptoms. You still have to ride it out.

To be fair, that was pretty much my response when I ran into it myself.

It comes with a part 2!

The best part of this is, you can't even get the armor ingame. You need to cheat it in. As of this album there is no quest to get the set, no chest to find it in, and no way to craft it. This is a cheat armor that you get through cheating. Keep it classy.

The end of the quest was glitched for me and I couldn't retrieve any of the promised stuff. I added the crowbar via console command and stole the book from his inventory.

Also, Jerlov is immortal (can't take damage, not even through command consoles), kills in a couple hits, and automatically detects you across the room. There's a paid mod under review on the workshop which makes him mortal and not telepathic.

Paid mods will revolutionize Skyrim...

Said no-one ever...
Take a look at this content!

Well in any case, I'm getting more worked up over this than I should be. I'll go ahead and leave it at that.

My points is such:
Content creators, both game developers and modder, have every right to attempt to sell things they've created, so long as any involved asset owners have given permission.
A consumer has every right to criticize that attempt, up to and including attempting to changing the rules so they cannot.
Those who are in charge of those rules have every right to refuse the consumer, at the loss of their prestige and sales.

I think we can agree with this, right?

Do you advocate smoking bans and laws against drunk driving?
Laws against smoking and drinking were placed by the majority.

So yes, majority rules.

If you can prove you are the majority here, then paid mods will not be an issue.

Hitler coming to power was legal, too. Being legal means shit when it comes to something being good or bad, otherwise we would have no reasons to ever change the law.
Godwin aside, are saying that consumers shouldn't be able to pay for what they want and we should have laws against it? Because they're stupid? To protect them?

Which is legal. Sadly.

You aren't in charge of their wallets, you can complain if you want, but that's all you can do.

If they're being manipulated, you can attempt to enlighten them.

90% of vallets are attached to highly manipulable humans who will buy things based on "hype" and "well the reviews said it

So in other words, we know what's best for all those people and we should decide what's best for them.

That's the kind of attitude that causes this sort of thing in the first place.

People will pay if they believe they're getting more than they're paying for. If you're so set on believing that a majority of consumers are mindless drones that will throw money at anything then I really can't do anything.
