There's always Goblinite.

Oh, you were talking about the magnetite? I thought you meant just the plain stone.

Definitely save the magnetite.

Elves are cool only when they bring loads of wood and cool animals. Otherwise I refer to them as "Test Subjects"

I wonder, having empty wood piles causes traders to bring more wood. Would empty animal piles cause elves to bring more animals?

You could always let the magma eat the stone. It's not like fortresses tend to have a shortage of stone.

One of my nobles child got executed by his command.

If only the noble had tantrumed as a result.

I noticed a couple long corridors that I don't believe were there previously. (I think.)

Trying to bring the magma forges online? If not, I think that will be my primary project.

Don't the elves behave the same way when angered?

To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a kobold siege. Should mod that in, though.

Did you read the first post Halceon?

An adorable force of cute has arrived!

I've never had the kobolds siege me before, even had them swipe an artifact, twice. D'oh! I wonder what the threshold is.

Well, not really.

Magma forges still need a steel anvil, though thats just a matter of importing since you can't make an anvil without an anvil. And to make steel and pig iron uses 2 charcoal in a normal furnace and 1 in a magma furnace, removing the fuel but keeping the carbon input.

Not true, on both counts.

In my current fortress, all my anvils in my magma forges are iron. There's really no reason to make a steel anvil unless you intend to trade it.

To make steel or pig iron, you need one piece of fuel. It doesn't matter whether it is a magma smelter or a regular. One piece of fuel. In a regular smelter, it's used both as a fuel and in the smelting process at the same time.

This is why I always build a Dwarven Firing Squad (Ballista + Fortification + Locked room with lever) before I build any noble quarters.

If i see a mandate cant be fulfilled or too many mandates are made at once, They'll soon find themselves repeatedly pulling a lever while the siege operator loads a new bolt.

Has anyone heard from PTTG? recently?

He may be away for the holidays.

I wonder if healing him using Dwarf Companion would cause Legends to implode.
