i'm honestly not sure. i grabbed the 0.43.05 windows.ini from links for two other utilities.  therapist connected to fortress program but crashed when attempting to grab dwarves.

i'm basically returning from version 0.40.xx; so i downloaded into a separate folder install of 0.43.05, downloaded "beta" dfhack (which runs fine despite warnings), added phobius "just graphics" set, and the necessary .ini file mentioned above found in a link in a visualizer thread and somewhere else i forgot.

edit ok so... i'm completely wrong in the sense that 1) the .ini was for 32 bit 2) and ontop i might have downloaded wrong DF as someone pointed out to not simply click "download" but go into "all versions" first.

if perfect world says "yes" instead of "using PW", it uses previously used PW (inside the world gen).  is there any way to convert that to "no"?  just asking in case mp explodes or something because of an odd alignment map, which might not be so bad but just in case. XD

so while the .ini is found, the memory addresses aren't?  i'm feeling just how wonderful therapist is... fingers dieing trying to assign jobs.

how long is a year in ticks? and if it's different ticks for adventure and fort mode, what should the argument be for dwarf_stretch(I realize that the actual thing is named different)?

multiple questions...
1) i have a self applied werebeast curse, but the transform seems to be permanent not phasing in and out like moonphase is supposed to do...  interaction/syndrome:

2) a different creature was supposed to be milkable... and despite even copying milk template from sheep, the creature isn't being milked.  it does have intelligent tag however... and is a playable civilization... no idea what would be problem.

3) how difficult would it to make a liquid silver reaction so players can weaponize it against creatures just like gnomeblight/kobold-bulb?  the difficulty i see would be the melting/freezing thresholds.

edit: fixed/simplified transform to apply to self only for insurance, given a moderate wait period elsewhere for less awkwardness.

Yeah, it's an old, and apparently less well known trick than I thought.
There used to be a lot of tricks like this on the wiki, but I've noticed that the updated wiki has lost a lot of old good content.
Someone is being overly enthousiastic with cleaning it up.

which not only has a prettified version of this trick, but also includes a newer vertical version which doesn't rely on creatures not jumping.
thats precisely where the original is... unless you mean the tower method, of which this must not be made from constructions on bottom most level and also smoothened.  the well doesn't always seem to prevent goblin from escaping from dwarf attempting to pit.

teeny tiny question but... "Impoverished Word Selector" likely means used too many "cull word" tags in entity file right?

As I recall melting down coins is more effective, especially combined with using a minecart to scatter the stacks.
i'm still struggling to understand minecarts, this might need a full step by step assistance.  potentially same as weaponizing minecarts for traps :D


coin splitting up in traders gets painful on repeating commands and i'm not sure how efficient of a macro i can make.  a coinstar room didn't work for splitting up. prefered metals were platinum (just in case), silver (hammers/maces), and zinc (lightest cage metal).


if someone honestly wanted to cheat, they'd make a reaction that makes 2 or more of a 1 bar return melting item.

sorry for referring to 0.40.26 still but tele-dwarves kinda cause babies to be abandoned, random babies lying around most of the time.  either they don't hunger/thirst or my absolute laziness waiting for the right phase of game to "be normal" on one of my worlds keeping teledwarf on is having dwarves provide... but they're perfectly fine and even grow up.

excuse necro but, due to monsters being able to jump AND the fiddly pitting behavior,  there's a slight adjustment to this legit but clearly exploit-y trick.

a 3x3 platform plus 2 tile gap is the only honest modifications needed. although a 3x3 landing/holding space is a tad eh...
lastly, why isn't levers set to repeat, used for the doors?

tried using the settings/indexes for df 40.24  and (semi obviously) the newest feature doesn't quite work,  odd values appear for analytical to social awareness.  marrage/romance settings might be off due to my side,  was hoping this tool would help me debug that.

#2,  set thier gait (movement speed) to 0 then might be able to give them an interaction/syndrome that causes them to gain a gait value temporarily.

under [syndrome] add [CE_BODY_TRANSFORMATION:START:0:END:x] where x is however long you wish it to last, will require a lot of twerking as fortress mode is different time scale.

is it possible to get friendly werebeasts?  if not (likely), then is there a "close enough"?

alternatively still, is it possible for a creature to be born with an infection?  if not, is it possible to give a creature a BODY_TRANSFORMATION with enough ease for world gen use (preferably exclusively but thats clearly impossible)?

No, but it's easy to fix. I should add to the next update.
