some sample random effects:

5345 Target can speak only in whale song for 1d4 hours

5895 Target has the caster’s name tattooed all over his body

0189 Any attempt to change shape will turn the caster into a rabbit

7092 Target’s entire family is arrested by royal decree

8320 All magic rings within 50 yards are now as large as hula hoops until 83 He has thwarted an assassination attempt against the king.

Ill say you can use that stuff. Except that when you take a level in wild soul you have a higher chance of the random magic effects.

Yeah anything on the srd is approved as far as i know. though just tell me what you want. Like variant races or classes are fine though if you wanted to use like reputation or sanity or whatever that would require some work.



Oh and as for dungeon design goes. I'm going to randomly generate rooms and stuff on the spot so as to have the most FUN.

The reason  i requested to stick to the srd is because it will make looking up rules much quicker in the middle of a session as i don't have any books.

So since in my other campaign 2/3rds of the players up and stopped coming I'm statring a new campaign. Different than the first.

This one will be shorter. Like a couple months maybe?


It will be like an extended dungeon crawl.

I want it to be fun and light hearted, so dorfy is a good guideline for character gen.

No PVP

I already have 2 players and am looking for 4 more.

system 3.5

we'll be using the tangled web for character sheets

and we'll be using maptools to play (its a game board/dice roller thing) assuming i can get it to work properly.

As for approved materials try to keep things to the SRD unless there is something you REALLY want. Though if you want something home-brewed just ask (for example a thrower dwarf or something)

races: try to keep it to the main DF races + the core DND races and their variants.

House rules:

Dwarfs get -2 wis instead of -2 cha.

Elves have racial cannibalism(willsave to resist eating slain foes) but get a bonus feat.

Magic: using any magic has a chance to cause unintended effects( i have a huge chart of random effects ;D)


Story: The Dwarven king, Urist the Great has hired the players to explore an abandon dwarven fortress to retrieve an item of great importance from and evil and terrible villain.

I am far from an as written DM. My greatest concern is that my players have fun.

This is a finely crafted picture in entrails. Tt is in the shape of a square. It has an image of a human and a dwarf, the dwarf is tearing out the entrails the human, the human is screaming.

On a related note, why didn't you set fire to the inn?
Because he can't set fire to buildings yet, silly.
