Elaborating on my previous post...
GENTLEMEN, BEHOLD!

DIGGING PLAN GAR-ALPHA

227
Take a backpack with a lunch of plump helmets and a waterskin of dwarven ale, as well as my pick. I'll take my puppy, Uth with me. He'll have his wooden puppy to gnaw.

00-08: Sleep in tent.
08-09: Eat breakfast of whatever's going around.
09-12: DIGGING PLAN GAR-ALPHA: Dig into the stone: a stockpile to fit all the metal (4x4, room to expand), then space for a forge next to it (4x4), then space for a bedroom/office (4x4) next to that. Avoid metals and gems. Do this as an offshoot of other digging projects so that the entrance isn't far from other things, but make sure there's room to expand later.
12-13: Lunch of plump helmets and ale.
13-18: Continue digging according to Digging Plan Gar-Alpha.
18-19: Dinner up on the surface of whatever's going.
19-24: Continue digging according to Digging Plan Gar-Alpha.

Additionally, I'll request a stone table and some paper to be available as soon as my room is done, if possible. I have a project that might make us rich, quickly.

I love the idea that Kweed suddenly forgot his name XD

229
I'm not entirely sure how I'll be bringing new players in, but as long as I keep going with the game it's likely to happen. Perhaps after an amount of time or a certain number of new signups and deaths, a wandering group of kobolds will merge with the tribe. Regardless of how it'll happen, I'll add a waiting list :D

Spoiler: Map of the Known World (click to show/hide)
You don't know if it's a sea or not, but there's a lot of water in one place.

231
Naturally we'll put grates in the river and eventually have complete control over the water flow and whether things in the water can pass through, too. We can add an overhang at the top of the cliffs, too, to make it difficult to climb in. Plus we can have a tower in the middle there with ballistas/marksdwarves on top.

232
Meat will begin to rot after a few days if not treated, but will probably take a week or so to become inedible. It can last a bit longer in the corpse, too. You could dry it out or cook it to make it last longer.

I added the total meals above the food section in the camp equipment - it also tells you how many days you can all eat for.

And yeah, chickens will generally do fine on their own. There are plenty of bugs in the cave, but they'll be happier spending daytime in the sunlight. If at any point there isn't food that animals can find on their own, I'll likely alert you to it.

233
Gar: makes some kissy noises whenever he sees Urist and Norrec together from now on. :P or just once

Tiggi:

You try to tend to your wounds, but the diminishing light makes it hard to see exactly what you're doing, and you have trouble getting them clean. You don't make them any worse, however. You let Ichi take over, telling him your story again and again as he slaps you to get you to shut up, until you drift off to sleep, proud of your day.

-you are dreaming of beating up cougars with your face in the kobold cave-

Ichi:

You click your tongue at Tiggi for having carelessly allowed the cougar to get close to her, who insists on repeating her tale to you until you're impressed. You respond with traditional kobold love: a salvo of slaps. Eventually she drifts off. Nonetheless, you're glad she's alive. You clean the wound with water and a combination of leaves the elder taught you to use, and then bandage it up with some cloth. You smirk a little as she mutters in her sleep, then sit back against a wall and take a nap yourself.
-1/2 unit of rough cloth
Tiggi will be fully healed when she wakes, although it'll hurt for a while

-you are snoozing in the kobold cave-

Under the cover of the night, you decide to try your luck hunting again. Carefully, now, you come across a herd of 4 wild horses and try to get into position to leap on one, spear in hand. You climb a nearby tree and start to move along a branch. As you're moving quickly along the branch, your spear gets caught in the leaves around you and you trip, falling to the ground amongst the horses. You're fine, but stunned momentarily, and by the time you regain your wits the horses are gone.

Still, you refuse to return to the camp without a kill, and venture deeper and deeper into the forest, where stranger creatures live. Suddenly, from nowhere, a claw slashes out at you. You try to dodge back, but you back up into another one, which cuts your left shoulder quite badly. You look between the claws and stare into the compound eyes of a mantis man. It brings its other claw about to try to grab you, but you dodge back and lunge with your spear. The creature seems much faster on the attack than on defense, and your spear thrusts through the creature's chest. A green liquid bubbles out and sprays on you, and it takes advantage of the distraction to attack again, striking you hard in your lower body. You ignore the pain from the impact and attack again, jabbing the spear through its neck and sending its head rolling away.
+1 mantis-man corpse
medium wound and minor wound

As you regain your breath before heading back to the cave, you inspect the mantis-man's exoskeleton. It's hard and slightly shiny, but its colours are impressively subtle and it seems to blend into the background.

You drag your kill back to the cave. Your arm is very sore, and the pain is worsening. You manage to wash it out on your own and wrap some cloth around it, since you've seen the fixers do that before. Exhausted, you sleep where you are.
-1/2 unit of rough cloth
your minor wound will be fully healed when you wake
your medium wound will no longer worsen, though it's likely to scar

-you are sleeping soundly at the kobold cave-

Fuzz:

You make short work of the cougar corpse. It was fairly large, and had plenty of meat.
+4 units raw cougar skin
+14 cougar bones
+18 cougar meals
+1 cougar skull
Fuzz has gained a level in gatherer!

You set the baboon and cougar skins out to dry. They should be ready to work with in a couple of days. You curl up in your favourite spot in the cave and drift off to sleep.

-you are catching some shuteye in the kobold cave-

Nreelrroi:

You have a brief staring contest with the pony before you sleep. The pony wins, but you don't really mind.

You wrap yourself up in a loose piece of cloth and fall asleep.

-your sleep is filled with visions of honey at the kobold cave-

Schlakal:

Under the cover of night, and careful to avoid any night creatures, you return to the cave. Most of the others are sleeping already. You join them.

-you are snoring loudly and drooling on your precious stone in the kobold cave-

Kurtulmak:

Having rested through the day, you're now completely ready for activity during the night. You make the trip to the farm uninterrupted by any wildlife. You navigate to the chicken coop and whisper for them to shhhhh. They seem to listen. You manage to stick one in your loincloth where it nestles comfortably, and carry two more away unnoticed. The farmer won't know what happened until tomorrow.

By the time you make it back to the camp, you and the three chickens are quite good friends.
+3 docile chickens

Kweed''rik'tik, SmallOne and Ungbuktu:

You take it in turns to keep a lookout as the others sleep. The night is peaceful, punctuated only by the return of the few kobolds not already sleeping.

Nreelrroi and SmallOne:

The two of you relax and talk about the recent state of the tribe. The conversation focusses on the plight of the elder, Chlubukombis. He was so worried about the tribe, and when the sickness caught him he wasn't ready for death. He wouldn't be until he know the tribe was safe. Even before the plague came, he was worrying much more than usual, complaining that everything was going wrong. Nobody really understood what he meant; he was smart, so he was elder.

After resting, Nreelrroi's foot has stopped aching.
fully healed

SmallOne gained a level in socialiser!

-you are both at the kobold cave-

Fuzz:

You decide to plant something on your farm, but you're not sure what people usually plant on farms. You know that farmers often plant bits of whatever they were growing, but nothing's growing on your farm yet, so how do you plant it?

Shaking your head in confusion, you wander off, take a log and split it into 4 wooden clubs. Taking one of these and a unit of rough cloth, you tie the dull part of one of your sharp rocks to the club, having carved an indentation for it to rest in. The result is a fairly stable hatchet. It requires more finesse than the mace-stick you made, but it could probably do more damage as well.
+2 wooden clubs
-1 unit rough cloth
-1 sharp stone
+1 sharp stone hatchet

You then set about butchering the baboons that Schlakal brought back. With your remaining sharp rock, you have no problem separating their various body parts.
+3 units raw baboon skin
+22 baboon bones
+2 baboon skulls
+12 meals of baboon meat

Schlakal:

You eat some delicious raw fish and savour the blood as it drips down your gullet. Before you leave, you ask the others for a childsnatching bag. There's a little confusion regarding what you want to do with it, but you grab some arrows and head off before they think too much.

You make it to the human forest town unnoticed and without incident. You sneak around, peeking in windows, and get a good idea of where several children live. They're pretty ugly and pink, nowhere near as cute as kobold babies. Thinking on this, you ask your stone when the tribe might get some more babies. The stone remains silent.

-you are at the human forest town-

Tiggi:

You take a few practice shots with the bow. A couple of the arrows are lost amongst the woods, so you decide to stop.
-2 wooden arrows

As you journey back, you get a feeling in your gut and look around, spotting a cougar trying to sneak up on you. You quickly grab the bow and let loose a few arrows, which thud into its shoulders. It quickly covers the distance between you and brings its claws swiftly across your chest, resulting in a long and painful (but not too deep) gash. You try to fire at it again, but it's too close and you don't have room to aim the bow. The arrows you were trying to fire fall to the ground and are snapped underfoot. It comes in again, this time to bite you, but you bring up your buckler and smack it cleanly in the nose. It's stunned, briefly, and staggers back. You string two arrows at once, take aim, and plunge them deep into its brain.
-8 wooden arrows
+1 cougar corpse
medium wound
Tiggi gained a level in shooter!

The journey back is tiring, from a combination of your wound and dragging back both the equipment and the cougar corpse, but when you arrive at the cave it's all worth it. Not only do you have a substantial amount of resources in the cougar, you've brought back items of a quality that the tribe hasn't had access to since you lost your best raiding party to a group of travelling dwarves.

Likesfighting:

You take a hold of your trusty hunting spear and venture out to bring back more food. You charge through the forest, hoping to catch your prey with speed rather than stealth. Unfortunately, your prey turns out to be a fox, who notices you coming quite a ways off and dashes away from you. You toss your spear at it hoping for a hit, but it's already disappeared into the scrub.

Not being one to give up, you retrieve your spear and keep going. A little further from the cave, you spot a group of shambling monstrosities. 3 human zombies are lumbering about aimlessly. You stop in your tracks and try your best to be silent, and it seems they haven't noticed you. You rush back to the camp to report this; there've never been zombies around here!

-you are back at the kobold cave-

Ichi:

You head back from the village, pleased that no human will likely lay eyes on you for a long while. You round a large rock and notice a pony standing there, chewing on the grass. It's saddled, but there are no humans nearby, so it must have run away. You move closer to it, but find that it's not nearly as scary up close as you would have thought. You stroke its nose and whisper words that you think a pony might say in its ear as you lead it back to the camp.
+1 tame, saddled pony

-you are back at the kobold cave-

Kweed''rik'tik, Kurtulmak and Ungbuktu:

The three of you loaf around the cave, keeping watch in the most leisurely fashion. Still, at least you're there to congratulate the incoming kobolds as they return with their acquisitions!

Ungbuktu, you decided to stop sticking your hand into the beehive. You feel better by the end of your watch.
fully healed

-you are all at the kobold cave-

Gar: starts digging a forge chamber off from the main corridor, avoiding digging out any ores for now. With room to expand out for more forges/kilns/smelters later, he'll dig just enough room for a stockpile of metals, and then enough room for a forge which is walled off (and will later have a lockable door) from the stockpile area. In addition, he'll dig a nearby 5x5 chamber.

239
Night, all! See you tomorrow!

Ask to try some of the brine ale with the guy, get talking over booze.
