Ouch. I really like the way her expression and color scheme turned out, and I'd happily play with the mug as is, but I can see some of the things you're talking about (the lack of shading on her head/shoulder spikes, in particular). Would you be able to live with the unusual position if I managed to improve the other stuff?

I'm gonna be honest: I'm not quite sure what's happening with this mug.

What's happening? If you're thinking about the pose, her body is seen more or less from the side, but she's turning her head and tilting backwards a bit to look at the viewer. Imagine that she's sitting at a table and turning to look at or respond to someone.

Hey mopsy, I just saw your mug, it's pretty decent except for the fact that you have zero shading on the armor so it's completely flat looking. Also the outline color is not great?

Darn it, you noticed. The shading on the original mug got lost somehow while I was rearranging the palette, but I thought I could get away with it. I even chose a dark color for the armor to try and make it less obvious, but that was clearly to no avail. How about this?


I honestly can't see what it is that bothers you about the outlines, though. Do they look too dark, too light or the wrong hue?

Unlikely that Hasp will accept the PF, he tends to not like % chance things for PF/PS if I remember correctly and there's no way he'll accept the third PS. Too much gain, it would need to be either +1 of both or +2 of one of them

OK, I'll rework those. Thanks for the heads-up.

Edit: Ditched the % chance part of the PF. Removed the +2 RES from the third PS.

I'll also take this opportunity to mention that I was not peeking at, or even aware of, Gregory's bio when I wrote Arnold's. The way I see it, it makes sense that there are many backstories like that in the armed forces of the Reich.

Edit: Arnold's mug has arrived. I went along with the emerging consensus that Reich uniforms are dark blue with gold trim.

Maybe... don't make a healer that is actually just Arnold Schwarzenegger? Also so many charisma totems. We do not need three people with charisma, it does not stack.

Why not? Are you worried that he's too much of a "joke character" for this campaign? I won't have him spout old one-liners and flex his muscles all the time, if that's what's on your mind. The "Ahnuld" theme is just a starting point for the character, not the whole character. I'll soon be writing a longer, more serious biography, for example. I could even change his name and/or the skill names, if you think they are too silly.

I am taking your feedback seriously. My questions are not rhetorical. If my character doesn't fit the mood you're going for, or doesn't work for some other reason, then I'm perfectly willing to change it.

You're quite right about the Charisma thing. I noticed and replaced it with Blossom.

Edit: Clarification. Advice from more experienced players is welcome and will be listened to.

Disclosure: I did not create the above mug from scratch. It's (quite obviously) based on a piece of Elphelt Valentine fanart by Robert Porter a mug from Fire Emblem 8. I don't have a lot of experience with pixel art, so critique and good advice is welcome.

I hope I have understood the implications of starting as First Class, Level 5. Please correct me if I did something wrong. If the party starts without a performer, I'll probably change the precondition of the Dixit Dominus skill.

Edit: Mug tweaked replaced, charsheet now includes character biography.

I think Husk D is missing from the map. It had full HP at the start of the enemy phase of Turn 2, then Santoku counter-critted away 24 of those, leaving it with the 12 HP it's currently listed with. However, it was not present on the Turn 3 and Turn 4 maps, nor did it act during Turn 3. Did Santoku's manliness scare it off?

The Magic&Muskets game has gotten off to a good start. You could try asking the players there if one of them wants to help out by playing France here. I understand if you don't want to risk jinxing it, though. These games seem to die very easily.

According to the status report, you're already at your maximum six units (1 army and 5 fleets). Is there a mistake in the report?

(Edit: I checked the rules, and it seems that you ought to have 1 (province) + 2 (capital) + 4 (trade pacts) = 7 units max, so you may be right. On the other hand, if a temporary capital does not grant extra armies, then you would have one unit too many. Let's hope it's the former.)

(Edit: I think I misunderstood the capital province bonus. Apparently you get it instead of the regular 1 unit for the province, so the formula ends up as 0 (non-capital provinces) + 2 (capital) + 4 (trade pacts) = 6 units max, which means that the status report is correct.)
