Unless we take the whole body with us, there's still bits for them to find, and if we do we're taking a corpse to the school, which is pretty suspicious.
a) This is a Wizard school, is it really?
b) We can always turn it into something else, or any bits we leave behind at least.
c) "No, my friend here is totally drunk, and passed out after accidentally lighting themselves on fire, rolling around on the ground in a panic, and banging their head against the wall. See the charred bits of their clothes? Hah, they're never going to live this down! Still, I couldn't just leave them on the street unconcious, they might get shanked, and they owe me money."

Eh? We killed a looter, if the bounty the guard gave us for killing the goblin as a thief is any indication then nobody will care. Besides, we're right next to a Wizard school, I bet it happens all the time. Hell, not taking their delicioususeful and potentially valuable organs would probably be more suspicious, since that actually leaves a body behind for people to find!

Also, kobolds could be the French, seeing as how they always run away from battle. :P

Kobolds: described as "skulking filth", attacked by every race outright, forced to steal which reinforces their reputation, and do not build many settlements, suggesting a migratory lifestyle. In the middle ages.

They're probably the two most historically persecuted nations in that era.

I dunno, generally I've seen them depicted as not regenerating damage done by them, maybe taking extra damage.
Since gnomes don't regenerate anyway (well, ok, technically they do, but not in any kind of combat-useful timeframe), and have vastly less durability, it's not really much of an advantage.

Gnomes aren't as durable, but can work safely around Fire and Acid, which are very effective weapons. Ups and Downs.

Ok, my aim is pretty bad so I'm not going to try directly hitting things myself, but Eek-Ook should be able to reach them (and possibly eat them), and if he can't there's always magic!
